Tuesday December 17th Continued

Harry’s POV:

I was waiting by Iris’s locker for her to show up so we could leave school. I was just ready to go after the exhausting day I’ve had. I’ve been getting stupid remarks from people all day. ‘Hope you wore a condom’, ‘You should get tested’, ‘Can’t believe you fell into her trap.’ Who are these rumors about and why am I involved?

Iris was taking an awful long time, so I finally decided to just text her.

To Poodle Butt:
Hey, where are you?

I got a text back almost immediately.

From Poodle Butt:
I left because “I have STDs”.

Well, the stupid jokes make sense now. Why is it that her walking next to me automatically meant that she and I slept together? People are so fucking stupid. That also explains why I didn't see her at lunch. Well damn, I hope she’s okay.

To Poodle Butt:
Fuck, they all need to shut the hell up. Want to meet at the track? I can bring you some cookies I stole from the cafeteria lady. (;

I know that’ll make her laugh her sweet laugh.

From Poodle Butt:
No, it’s okay. I’m with a friend. I’ll text you later? (:

I frown, instantly knowing who she’s talking about. She’s with Niall. She won’t tell me because of the accusations I happened to make. I don’t blame her though. All I can do is trust that nothing will happen.

To Poodle Butt:
I’ll be waiting by the phone missing you (;

Just as I put my phone in my jacket pocket, Eleanor was passing by.

“Oh hey look, Eleanor decided to stay for the full day,” I smirked at her.

She stopped walking and turned to glare at me, “Shut up.”

“In all seriousness, why do you ditch?” Her shoulders dropped as she hung her head. “Why don’t we go somewhere and talk about this?”

“Let’s go to my place,” she sighed. “Luckily my mother isn’t there,” I heard her say under her breath. Okay?

“So…” Eleanor and I were at her place now and we were in her room. I have never been in here before. Everything was so clean and organized. There wasn’t a single bit of sloppiness.

She sighed, “I honestly don’t want to tell you since I think you’re such a cheeky bastard, but it’d feel good to finally get this off of my chest.”

Okay?

“I’ve been ditching school because my mum has been making me practice modeling.”

I laugh, “You’re serious? That’s what you’re so ashamed of?”

“You don’t get it,” she huffed. Having gone through what I’ve gone through and seeing Iris so hurt made me shut up and listen to Eleanor. I could be misjudging this.

“I don’t even want to model. I’m not allowed to eat anything unhealthy. She makes me skip lunch at school because she doesn’t trust I’ll watch what I eat. I can’t even be a normal kid and do my homework. No, I have to work on my poses,” she growls.

“There’s not much to practice,” I raise my brows.

She clenched her fists, “You have no idea. ‘El, your elbow is sticking out. You’re a person not a chicken.’ ‘El, straighten up. Stop slouching.’ She’s driving me mad! Then, she keeps booking me shoots that I don’t want to go to. She is indifferent towards my feelings. She just can’t get it to her head that I don’t want to do this. She’s all set on trying to get me known and famous since I’m her only child. She just wants to be a ‘successful’ parent I guess.”

She started breathing heavily from talking so fast without taking breaths. I sigh but I can’t speak. I have no idea what to say. I want to tell her what a lunatic I think her mother is but the relationship with her and her mum is different than me and mine. I can tell she still loves her mum dearly and I don’t want to anger her any further.

“Anyways, I haven’t always been ditching. I’ve been really sick because I don’t eat enough.” That’s when I really looked at her. She has always been thin, but not this thin. She doesn’t look anorexic or anything, but there’s definitely a weight difference. I feel sorry for her.

“Here,” I said before pulling my backpack off of the handle on my wheelchair. I unzipped the pack to grab a plastic bag of cookies from the lunch lady and I handed them to her. “Fuck your mum, eat them.”

She was hesitant at first but she actually started munching on them, “Thanks Haz.”

“Why haven’t you told Lou?”

She sighed, “I don’t know. I guess I just don’t want him to worry about me.”

“I think you should tell him,” I bowed my head. “I told Iris about what I’ve been going through and it surprisingly made me feel one hundred times better.”

“What is going on with you?” she frowned before taking another bite of her cookie.

“I’m just in a dark place. Don’t worry about me though. Worry about you,” I smile. “What do you want to do, you know, instead of modeling?”

“Dance,” she tilted her head back and grinned at the ceiling. “I dreamed of it since I was a little girl.”

I laughed, “You’d be good friends with Iris then. She loves to dance.”

“She does?” she asked before taking another bite of her cookie. “That’s cool. I’ll have something to bond with her over. So are you two like…?”

“Dating?” I chuckled. “Not yet.”

“Aww,” she cooed. “You know, it surprised me that you of all people would be the one who’d help her out.”

I furrowed my brows, “Why?”

She adjusted in her seat and nibbled at the cookie again, “It’s just that you’re usually so rude and distant.”

“And now?” I smirk.

She giggled, “Now not so much. I like this side of you, Haz.”

“Me too,” I admitted. It’s nice to feel my life turning around and I have Mercy to thank for that.

After hanging out for a while longer, Eleanor suddenly made a mad dash to the washroom.

“Eleanor? Are you okay?” No answer. I rolled closer to the restroom. “Eleanor?” I heard the sink start running. What’s going on?

She came out and wiped the water off her mouth, her face pale, “I’m never following your advice again since I literally just tossed my cookies.”

My eyes widened, “Maybe you should see a doctor.”

She sighed, “I don’t know, Haz. I think I just have to stick to my diet.”

“No,” I held the word. “You’re just not used to eating all that. Go to the doctor.”

"What am I supposed to tell the doctor? I'm practically starving and now I can't eat cookies?"

I shook my head, "Just tell them you were on a diet and now it's hard to eat the unhealthy stuff. You'd still be telling the truth."

“Fine,” she groaned. “Go with me?”

I nod, “Okay, but you have to tell Lou.”

She frowned, “Okay.”

“Hey Haz,” Perrie smiled as I entered her house. I notice she and Iris are sat on the couch.

“Hey,” I tilted my head in confusion. Was she not with Niall after all?

Iris waved, “Guess what?” Well she appears to be in a good mood.

“Poodle butt?” I smirk. Her eyes widened as her cheeks reddened and she stared to the floor. I chuckle because only I know about her birthmark. “What?”

She lifted her head, “Perrie and I are entering the talent show.”

I furrow my brows, “Really?” Wow, this is a big step for her. “What are you going to do?”

“I’m singing,” Perrie rolled her eyes. Does she not want to? I’m so confused.

“Niall’s kind of making us do this,” Iris nodded. Okay, it makes sense now. Wait, Niall?

“Iris is going to dance,” Perrie smiled. “We’ve already been practicing. She’s so good.”

Iris grins, “Well you have a beautiful voice.”

“Why don’t you both give me a preview?” I ask as I roll closer to them.

Perrie laughs, “No.”

I pouted, “Why not?”

“Because we don’t even fully know what we’re doing,” Iris giggled and poked my dimples that popped out at her laugh.

“Please?” I begged.

“No,” Iris said as she signed it to me.

I pretended to be taken back and then signed ‘yes’ to her. Then, I noticed she had a new tattoo on her wrist, "Hey, what's that?"

She put her wrist in my lap for me to look at, "It's just like the other tattoo, reminding me that I'm still here."

"Well I like it," I smile as I trace the word on her wrist. I'm kind of an idiot though and didn't think it'd be sore until she hissed and pulled it back. "Sorry."

She smiled and shook her head, "It's okay, I know you didn't mean it." I just smiled back to her, gazing into her eyes.

“Well you two are obviously having a moment here,” Perrie joked.

"Oh, you're still here?" I smirked, receiving a glare from her.

Iris laughed, “Well I have to go. My sisters are making me dinner.”

“Aww,” I frowned. “But I just got to see you.”

“I’ll see you at school tomorrow,” Iris smiled as she hugged Perrie and stood up. “See ya, Harry,” she ruffled my hair and left.

“What was that?” Perrie looked puzzled.

I sigh, “I’m on hold.”

She laughed, “Poor Haz.”

“That’ll change very soon. The cast comes off in eight days.”

“That’ll be some Christmas present,” she smiled.

Indeed it will be. I can’t wait.

Random Fact:

I've actually never done drugs. The chapters where I've done drug scenes are so easy for me to write because my friends have done them around me.

@ReignOn
To be honest, I had no idea where I got the poodle shaped birthmark idea until now haha. I knew I heard it from somewhere, but I was never able to figure out where. Also, there are tons of people who get locks for their doors to lock on the outside. I babysat for a family that had locks on their kid's doors to lock them in whenever they were in a timeout.
