“Thank you so much for helping me with this!” I exclaimed to Eleanor as soon as she opened the door.
“You’re welcome.” She laughed pulled me into a hug before moving to the side and letting me in. “I just have to grab my bag.”
I nodded at her as she began to walk away.
“Hey Lacey.” Louis greeted me.
“Hey Lou.” I smiled back in reply, reaching forward to grab some popcorn from his bowl. He shot me a fake glare.
“So where are you taking my girlfriend today?” He asked, heading over to the couch with me following.
“Visiting some venues for the ball my parents are throwing. Because I wanted it to be for a charity my parents decided that I can do it all.” I sighed throwing myself down on the couch.
“LOUIS!” Eleanor’s voice called through the door. Louis shot me a smile before heading into the room. I sighed and pulled out my phone when it vibrated. Before I had time to read the message a door opened. I glanced up and my heart stopped when I saw Zayn walk out of the bathroom.
His eyes met mine and he instantly stopped in his tracks.
“Lacey,” He whispered out. I stood up and shuffled slightly on the spot not knowing what to do.
“I’m uh just waiting for Eleanor.” I said quickly moving around the couch as he took a few step forwards. He nodded at what I said before stuffing his hands in his pockets.
We stood there in silence for a moment as I hoped and prayed that Eleanor and Louis would walk out again soon.
“I might just wait outside.” I said quickly moving towards the door. Before I could reach it Zayn’s hand had wrapped around my wrist. I spun around and quickly pulled my hand out of his.
“We need to talk.” He said suddenly. I stared at the wall behind him, refusing to meet his eyes.
“Nothing to talk about Zayn, tell Eleanor I’ll meet her in the car.” I told him, turning around and heading towards the door. Before I could make it Zayn stepped in front of me this time blocking the doorway.
“What are you doing?” I asked him annoyed as I tried to ignore the increase of my heart rate from how close he was standing to me.
“We need to talk about what happened yesterday.” He said quietly to me.
“Nothing happened.” I warned him. His hand reached up to brush across my cheek lightly. I flinched and stepped back.
“Stop it,” he warned, stepping forwards.
“Zayn we can’t do this.” I whispered out. His eyes darkened.
“I know that!” He said angrily. “But I can’t think of anything else but kissing you again.”
The blush rose to my cheeks as Zayn stepped forward again.
“Zayn...” I trailed off as his hand came up to angle my chin towards him. He leant down and pressed his lips to mine softly. I let the kiss go for a moment before stepping back.
“Stop it.”
“You don’t want me to. Admit it Lacey, you enjoyed that kiss yesterday just as much as I did. It was different, it meant something more than what we’ve been doing.” Zayn said to me softly, stepping forward to grab my hand.
“I’m engaged Zayn.” I hissed at him.
“I know that.” He growled back. “It hasn’t stopped you from having sex with me these last couple of months!”
I stood there shocked, watching him for a moment. He sighed and closed his eyes briefly before opening them to stare back into mine.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it like that.”
“It doesn’t matter. It’s the truth though right.” I muttered stepping around him towards the door.
“Lacey, please don’t leave.” Zayn’s voice came from behind me. I sighed and turned around to look at him.
“I can’t do this anymore Zayn. I can’t.” I told him softly. He opened his mouth to say something but paused instantly as Eleanor and Louis walked out of the door. They paused and stared at us both as we stared back.
“Ready to go?” Eleanor asked unsurely. I nodded at her and offered a small smile.
“You girls don’t have too much fun now.” Louis smirked leaning over and pressing a kiss to Eleanor’s cheek. She smiled at him before walking towards me. I glanced towards Zayn as he ran a hand through his hair frustrated. He glanced up at me and his eyes met mine.
I quickly spun around and walked out the door after Eleanor. We headed towards the elevator in silence. I rested my head against the cool mirrored wall of the elevator as it went down.
“Are you okay?” Eleanor asked me. I jerked my head up to look at her.
“Yeah!” I said putting on the best smile I could muster. She sent me a small smile back. I knew she didn’t believe me.

“This place is amazing!” Eleanor exclaimed from next to me as we walked into the large foyer of the building.
“Uh-huh,” I mumbled to her, barely glancing around.
“I’ll leave you two to look around,” the lady who allowed is into the building left us alone.
“Oh my god, it has a balcony!” Eleanor squealed after we walked into the large ballroom. She practically sprinted across the room and pulled the curtains aside before pushing the large French doors to the balcony open. I laughed and followed her over as we stepped out onto the balcony. There was an amazing rose garden at the bottom of the balcony that went on for forever.
“We are checking that out next. It looks so amazing. This is literally like a fairytale castle!”
I smiled and leaned over the edge slightly watching the vines climb down the balcony towards the ground.
“Alright what’s wrong?” Eleanor’s voice came from behind me. I stood up properly and turned to look at her, confused. “I’ve been trying to ignore your funny attitude, but now it’s just ridiculous. This place is amazingly beautiful and you can barely show any excitement.”
“I’m fine,” I said to her quickly. Walking back through the French doors and into the main ballroom.
“Is this about what you and Zayn were talking about?” I spun around at Eleanor’s question. I bit my lip as I stared at her.
“What did you hear?” I asked quickly. She sighed and sat down on the ground in front of me. I watched her amused for a moment, she reminded me so much of Louis sometimes with how random she could be. I sat down next to her.
“I didn’t hear much but the look on both of your faces was enough.” She told me. I sighed and leant back on my hands staring up at the beautiful painted domed ceiling.
“He kissed you yesterday,” I shot her a surprised look. “Tate told me what happened, how he disappeared after you when you went to the toilet and then you came running back out and practically sprinted out of the place with Tamzyn. And now I’m judging by your reaction I was right, he did kiss you.”
“He did,” I admitted to her not meeting her eye.
“And that’s a problem because?” Eleanor asked.
“Because, because, he did it in public.” I lied to her knowing it was a lame excuse.
“Or because he made you feel something?” She asked me.
“What?”
“You felt something more in that kiss then you do when you are both together, how you have been.” She didn’t ask me, she told me.
“You know too much,” I groaned lying down on the floor completely. Eleanor laid down next to me.
“You like him.” She stated.
“A lot more than I should.” I admitted.
“He really likes you too.” I turned my head to stare at her. She turned to look back at me.
“There’s no way out of your marriage?” She asked. I shook my head.
“Nope,” I said popping the p. She sighed and grabbed a hold of my hand in comfort.
“What are you going to do?” I shrugged. “It’s going to hurt Zayn and you if you ignore him.”
I groaned and smacked my hand over my head.
“We are currently lying on the ground in the most beautiful castle I have ever seen. How about we explore?” I said to her, sitting up.
“Castle?” She asked giggling.
“A girl can dream,” I winked standing up and hauling her up with me. She smiled largely.
“Let’s go then!” She cried out laughing before dragging me towards the large grand staircase, both of us kicking of our shoes so we could run up it easily.

Oh dang, how did I completely skip so much! I have so much reading to do in the next two days before UNI starts. I probably won't be sleeping tonight, but I literally don't care I need to know it all!
