Hoping For A Fairy Tale

30

“We’re about to land love.” Harry’s voice whispered in my ear. I groaned and lifted my head off his shoulder and yawned loudly. I glanced around the airplane to see other people beginning to wake up. I smiled up at Harry as he pressed a kiss to my head while we waited for the plane to land.

I stretched my arms above my head before making my way to the door, Harry’s hand resting on my waist as he walked behind me. We followed the crowd to the terminal where we were met with a massive crowd of screaming fans.

“Crap.” I muttered staring at them all wide eyed.

“It’s okay.” Harry let me know, gesturing towards the security heading towards us. “I already planned this part.”

I smiled up at him gratefully as Harry chatted with security before they formed around us and began to clear room as Harry wrapped his arm around my waist and led me through. I kept my head down as best as I could and pulled Harry’s sunglasses over my eyes knowing I probably didn’t look my best.

“Look,” Harry whispered into my ear before pointing to the side when we walked outside. I followed the direction his hand pointed to see Casey and Paige standing not far away leaning against a car. They both smiled largely once they saw me and waved excitedly. The tears pricked at my eyes as I tried to move towards them but Harry held me back. I shot him a confused look.

“Just follow security first, they’ll get us over there.” He let me know. I nodded and impatiently followed them slowly over there. The moment Harry’s arm left my waist I pounced on them both. I sighed happily as their arms surrounded me and I breathed them in.

“I miss you guys.” I whispered softly. Their arms tightened around me more not needing to say anything.

“We should get out of here.” I heard Harry’s voice. I looked up and saw him shaking hands with Cody in greeting. I flashed Cody a greeting before climbing in the back with Paige and Casey as Harry climbed in the front with Cody driving.

Casey and Paige’s arms didn’t leave my side as Cody drove us home. Their hands held onto mine tightly as we sat in silence. We didn’t need to talk just having them here was enough.

We eventually got home and headed into the living room.

“So how are you?” Paige asked me softly. I smiled at her softly.

“I’m okay, I think.” She sighed before leaning forward and pulling me into a tight hug, Casey joined in moments later.

“We’ve missed you so much! Everyone else can’t wait to see you but we made them wait to make sure you’re okay with seeing them.” Casey told me.

“I would really like to see them all.” I told her honestly.

“We’ll invite everyone over for dinner or something soon then!” Casey said pressing a kiss to my cheek. I heard voices before Harry and Cody appeared in the living room chatting together. I watched them and smiled at Harry as he returned it.

“You two probably want to sleep.” I shook my head at Paige.

“She slept the whole plane ride.” Harry told them, walking over. “But I’m going to have a nap okay?”
I nodded at Harry as he pressed his lips to mine before heading upstairs.

“I’m going to get back to work.” Cody added pressing a kiss to all of our cheeks before leaving.

“I see you and Cody are still good?” I enquired with Casey, she smiled at me and nodded happily.

“And what about your boyfriend? Do I finally get to meet this Trent?” I asked Paige. She laughed.

“I wasn’t sure if you would be up to it?”

“I’m okay guys really. It’s been a month, it still hurts but it’s getting better.” I told them honestly.

“Do you want to talk about it?” Paige asked quietly. I shook my head at her.

“Right now I just want to talk about everything I’ve been missing out on here.” I told them happily. “Can we sit outside though, you have no idea how much I’m enjoying this summer heat right now since the last couple of months have been winter for me.”

The girls laughed and nodded as we headed outside and sat down on the chairs by the pool as we started to talk about everything we had missed out. We talked about Uni, the cafe, what I’ve been doing with Harry and of course our relationships.

“You should invite Trent over tonight for dinner.” I suggested to Paige.

“Are you sure?”

“Yes I’m fine. Seriously stop worrying about me.” I said to her sternly.

“Okay well I’ll call him then. But I have to get to class right now so I’ll see you when I get home.” She said pressing a kiss to my cheek.

“I have to go out and get some food.” Casey let me know getting up and grabbing the keys.

“I’ll come help.” She shook her head.

“Whether you slept all the way or not, you need some rest. I’ll be back in an hour.” She said hugging me before heading out. Smiling softly I walked around the house noticing that not much had been changed but yet little differences still stood out to me.

I walked into my old room and noticed how bare it looked without thousands of photos covering every inch of the white walls. I glanced around at how empty it looked but the smile lit up my face when I noticed the beautiful boy sleeping on the bed, mouth hanging open. I giggled softly before making me way over and sitting down next to his body. I gently ran my fingers through his hair. His arms automatically wrapped around my waist and his head settled into my lap. I continued to move my hands through his hair as he made small noises of enjoyment.

I stayed where I was until Harry eventually woke up not long later.

“Hey,” he whispered tiredly to me, reaching up to press a kiss to my lips.

“Hey, how was your sleep?”

“It’s hot,” he whined making me giggle.

“Let’s go downstairs where the air conditioning is turned on then.” I reasoned, tugging on his hand until he was up and walking down the stairs with me. We got comfortable on the floor against the couch as I nestled myself between Harry’s leg and we watched some random TV. Harry began to place light kisses across my shoulder making me shiver in delight.

“You have a room you know.” Paige exclaimed walking into the room.

“I’m already missing having a house to ourselves.” Harry groaned in annoyance making us both laugh. My eyes widened however when I noticed the boy standing next to Paige, I jumped up instantly, ignoring Harry’s protest.

“Oh he’s cute!” I grinned wickedly at them both. Paige rolled her eyes at me while Harry pinched my hip making me wince. I glanced up at him to see him glaring down at me.

“Well this is Trent, Trent this is Skye and Harry.” Paige introduced us. I could tell she was slightly nervous. She wanted my approval of Trent just like Casey and I wanted her approval. It’s how we worked, no matter how much I loved Harry if the girls told me he wasn’t good for me or they didn’t like him, with a valid reason, I would have ended it with Harry. We valued each other’s opinion and know we only wanted the best for each other.

I smiled at Paige before turning to Trent and shaking his hand after Harry did.

“Paige has told me a lot about you.” He told me as I smiled at him.

“Really? She keeps you well hidden from me.” I said glaring at Paige as she blushed.

“Because you’re too nosy for your own good,” She defended. I opened my mouth to protest.

“She’s right love.” Harry backed her up. I glared at him.

“So what do you do Trent?” I asked him. Harry snorted from next to me.

“Um I go to Uni with Paige. I want to be a journalist too.” I smiled at him happily.

“Hey you girls wanna help me in the kitchen.” Casey said annoyed from the doorway as Cody walked in to sit down on the couch.

“Fine,” I huffed and left Harry with Cody and Trent and followed Paige into the kitchen.

“So what do you think?” Paige asked me as soon as we were in the kitchen.

“He’s hot, definitely hot.” I told her.

“I know right.” Casey agreed as Paige laughed.

“He seems nice Paige but I’ve talked to him for two seconds, let me get to know the boy first.” I said to her. She nodded at me, smiling largely.

“You really like him don’t you?” I asked knowingly. She nodded instantly.

“I love him, it’s so hard to explain and say why, but I do.” Paige struggled for words. Casey and I shared a look.

“We know,” we both said together as I winked at Paige.

“What do you know?” Harry asked, coming up behind me and resting his hands on my hips while I cut up the potatoes Casey sat in front of me.

“Girls stuff, stuff that you don’t know.” I teased him as he nuzzled my neck with his nose making me smile.

“So what are you two doing while you’re here?” Cody asked, taking a seat at the counter. I turned to Harry who shrugged.

“This is your country, I figured you would have ideas.” I laughed at his comment.

“I’ll think about it. I was thinking we could go snorkelling at the Reef.”

“Where we went at Hervey Bay?” Paige asked. I nodded at her.

“Yeah because then we can just drive there and back. Sound good?” I asked Harry who looked at me blankly.

“I have no idea what all of that meant. What’s the Reef?” He asked confused.

“The Great Barrier Reef mate.” Trent let him know. He nodded in understanding.

“Sounds good,” he said. “Can we just sleep tomorrow though?”
I laughed and agreed with him.

“We should go to the beach on Saturday?” Paige suggested. I nodded instantly.

“YES, I miss the Coast.” I cried out.

“We have a beach you know.” Harry told me sitting down on a chair next to Trent.

“Yes honey, I’ve been there.” I rolled my eyes at him. “But I’m sorry, they’re just not as good as ours.” I shrugged as he rolled his eyes at me.

“You are so less Australian when you’re back home.” Harry muttered making us all laugh.

“Actually you’re Australian accent is really weak now. Some of your words are coming out British.” Paige told me, my mouth dropped open in shock as Harry did a quick fist pump.

“Are you serious?” I asked upset. Casey and Paige nodded, I turned to Harry who shrugged and nodded as well.

“No I don’t want you’re accent!” I said accusingly to Harry.

“I thought you liked my accent?” He asked hurt.

“Yes sure, on you I do! But I want to hear it from you, I don’t want to speak like it!” I groaned. “I’m going to have to fix that while we’re here. Only Aussie terminology from now on!”
Casey and Paige snorted.

“You’re going to sound like a bogan.” Cody commented making me throw a potato at him. He laughed and caught it easily.

“I am not a bogan!” I defended.

Notes

I'm curious if any of my non-Australian readers know what a bogan is?? :)
