Chapter 8
When I finally pull myself together and begin the long, long walk home. The long walk home gives me plnety of time to hink about what Harry has just said. I can't believe he mentioned the running, after everything that has happened.
*Flashback*
Tuesday 11th of July 2006 12:14 am
I can not beleive I am in Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. The munchkins look nothing like they do in the film. They're yellow and red! And they taste like Skittles! I can't stop licking there faces. They're red, and red is my fav.... SMASH!
My dream was rudely interupted by the sound of glass breaking. It sounded like it came from the front room. I quietly make my way downstairs trying not to wake my Mum and Dad. As I walk closer to the front room door I hear my Dad, 'Please, John, don't do this, we will give you all the money we have, please'. John? John Pilling? Na, can't be.
Soon as I peer through the crack in the door, I regret it instantly. I see my Mum an Dad on their knees, hands tied behind their backs. My Dad has blood covering his face which I'm assuming is from the cut on his face. My Mum has blood coming from her nose. John is just standing there with a knife in on hand and a gun in the other. 'Shut Your mouth! I don't want anything from you but to see you suffer'
Before I knew it, John lunged the knife into my Mums back. I had to cover my mouth so he wouldn't hear my sobs. I was frozen to the spot. tears flooding down my face as I watched my neighbour stab my Mum over and over again. I could do nothing but watch. And neother could my Dad. When my Mum was no longer moving, he put the gun to the back of my Dads head, 'Please John, dont hurt Hol...' BANG! 'Arrgghh!'. This time i could'nt help but scream as the loud noise rang through my ears. That's when John saw me. I immediatly ran to my OTHER neighbours house and she calle the police.
*2 Weeks Later*
This is it, my turn to take the stand an tell everyone what I saw. I've been in the care of my Grandma. I will have to stay with her now. She did'nt want me getting up there. but I have to. To put John away forever.
When I finish I look up and see John staring at me with hate and anger in his eyes. Then the jury leave to make a decision. After a long 2 hours, they find John Pilling guilty of my prents murders and he senteced to life in prison.
After the trial, me and my Grandma have to leave Chesire and make a new life in Bury. I persuaded my friend Amy and her family to come with us. She is now called Beth. I am no longer Holly Mae Jackson. I am now Eve Michelle Jones. Michelle after my mother, who I will never see again because that monster took her and my father away from me.

It's about 9:30pm and me and Harry are walking to the bus station. But since we left McDonalds, I can't get rid of the feeling that someone is following us. I try to brush it off but i can't.
'So yeah, I've applied for the X Factor and I'll be auditioning in a couple of months.' As I was taking in Harry's words I hear a thump and see Harry hit the floor. Before I can react I am dragged into a near by alley. I am pinned against the wall with a knife being held to my neck. 'Never thought you'd see me again did ya?!' the stranger spat. As I opened my mouth to reply. The stranger removed his hood. The stranger was no longer a stranger. My eyes widened in shock. Matt Pilling. 'H,,H,How did you find me?' 'Oh, things are easy to find when you look properly'. I was speechless, in utter shock. 'Well, what do you want?' i bravely asked. 'Well, Holly,' it made me sick how emphasised my name. 'I want you to suffer like your parents did'. Before a reply could even enter my head, Matt was knocked to the ground by Harry. All I could do was run and leave Harry to fight for himself even though he saved me. I heard Harry calling me but my legs just kept moving. 'Eve, he's gone!' Soon as those words left his lips, I stopped and collapsed to the floor crying knowing I would have to explain everything to Harry. I was gently pushed behind a shop where Harry's lips met mine. I instantly felt calm and safe. 'What's just happened Eve?' Harry whispers whilst his forehead rests on mine. I moved my head to the side and told everything. When i built up the nerve to look at him, his eyes were filled with tears, 'You're Holly Jackson?' 'What, you know?' i was bewildered, I mean i knew i was from the same place as Harry, but I didnt know he knew. 'Yeah, course I do, I didnt know you but everyone knows what happened, and all I knew of the girl was that she was in the same school and year below, but I never met her.' i stayed silent shocked at what I was hearing. 'I fancied her though' A smile played on my lips. 'You look alot different now'. 'well, that was a long time ago, can we go?' Harry nodded and with that we went home.
