While walking, I turned to look at his lips several times, wondering why I hadn't let him kiss me. I could almost hear Karen's voice in my head saying "Never too easy, never too tough", something she said very often and I tried to convince myself that keeping him from doing anything right now was fine. The whole thing had just started. I guess he noticed because one time that I looked from his lips to his eyes, I realized he was aware of my lip-spying and his lips had formed a smirk.
Suddenly a car passed quickly past us, but not too quickly to stop me from recognizing it.
It was my mom's car.
"Quick!" I yelled at Harry and started running. It took him a couple of seconds to get it, but when he did his eyes opened widely and he started running as well.
I ran as fast as I could, trying to keep up with Harry's pace, because he was much faster than me and also trying to get to the store before whoever was driving realized we weren't there and drove back.

All of a sudden I started to hear some weird noises. I didn't know where they came from until I felt something inside my pocket shake and realized it was my phone. I had service! I jumped happily behind Harry.
"There's service in this area!" I yelled. "There's service! We're not lost anymore"
"And there's the store" Harry said. From where I was I could only see some lights and a sign that said 'The ville's store'. The lights grew bigger with each step we took until eventually we arrived.

I opened the door and found my mom dialing a number on a fixed phone and my dad talking to an employee.
A small bell hanging over the door rang and both my dad and the employee turned to look at us.
"Jennifer!" he said and poked my mom. She hung up at the middle of the conversation. I walked over to them and my mom basically jumped on me.
"Where where you? Oh my God, I can't believe this, Jennifer, what were you thinking about? Do you think it was a game?" and blah blah. I didn't really listen to it because I knew she did it when she was nervous or worried. It was her way of showing she cared, only it didn't really show unless you knew her well. My dad made her stop with her scolding and made her calm down.

"I'm fine, mom" I said, hugging her and giving her a kiss on the cheek. The same to my dad.
My mom nodded, her eyes almost tearful. "I know" she said. "It's just that-- I-- We were so worried!"

"I know" I said and we hugged again. "But I'm fine, i'll explain what happened when we get home".
After that my dad cleared his throat and looked at Harry who was awkwardly standing by the door.

"Oh.." i said unsure. "This is Harry" and we almost kissed a few minutes ago. "Harry, these are my parents" And please don't be affectionate right now if you don't want my dad to hang you.
He politely greeted them. My mom smiled at him and my dad slightly nodded his head as a reply.

"Well..." said my dad. "We better go home now. You have school tomorrow, don't think you've pulled through this one, dear".

I looked up at Harry, who was shyly smiling at my parents.
"Do you want us to take you home, Harry?" asked my mom.
"Oh, don't worry" he said. "I'll just call my sister. She'll be here at any minute". It seemed like he was sure of what he was saying and I would've believed it if it wasn't because I already knew his sister took a long time to drive from one place to the other.
"No way, we're taking you home. Your sister will arrive here tomorrow if you ask her to come pcik you up" I said. Harry laughed but rejected my offer.
"I insist" said my mom. "There's no problem with that. We'll take you home".
"Well, thank you" he said and we all got into the car.

I felt Harry look at me, but whenever I tried to look back my dad either cleared his throat or asked Harry about random stuff such as "What kind of music do you listen to, Harry?", "Where are your parents right now?" or "Are you going to school tomorrow?" and Harry would just answer to his questions saying "I like Pink Floyd", "They went to Chelsea to visit my aunt" and "I guess so".

We told my parents what had happened and why we had got lost. We only didn't tell them we were constantly having arguments nor that we held each other's hand and that I had fallen asleep with my head on his shoulder. We just told them we had a little tiny short fight and Gordon had gotten annoyed very quickly so he did one of his jokes and locked us up inside a utility room. Then that Harry had managed to open another door and that we had to go find the grocery store to have service.
My parents couldn't believe Gordon was still that immature to lock us up and not even go back for us, but I told them that he would probably get grounded and that they didn't need to get involved too much.
When we arrived at Harry's, there wasn't any space to park the car near the entrance, so my dad had to drive a bit further.
"Here you go son" said my father.
"Thank you so much" said Harry. "Nice to meet you".
We got out of the car and I followed him to the door.
"You didn't have to follow me up to here, you know?"
"I know, but I still have your jacket" I answered.
"You can give it to me tomorrow" he said. "It doesn't matter".
Silence.
"Sooo..." he said to break the silence. "You do like me, right?" I instantly blushed and he smirked.
"Don't get too excited about this", i said.
"Why not? I like you too, Jen". He leaned but stopped before coming too close to me. Instead he pinched my cheek. "Goodnight" he whispered.
"Goodnight" I said and placed a peck on his cheek, then turned around and walked back to the car.
