Snake Eyes (Louis Tomlinson Fan Fic)

Surprise

**Skipping Ahead to The Next Day**

LOREN POV

I've been back from university for two weeks and basically locked away in my bedroom suite. My father came to England for my graduation from Judge Business School at Cambridge. I graduated top in my class in international finance and business. It wasn't really a surprise. I had no social life at uni so all I did was study. Who am I kidding? I've NEVER had a social life.

My life has been spent at one exclusive school after another. I attended the Ecole des Souers Dominicaines here in Monaco for my primary education. It's an all girl boarding school run by the Catholic nuns. My father believed it best that I be secluded away from society because of his business, He's the fourth richest man in the world, behind the oil barons. It's a dangerous life. My father explained that he sent me away to school to protect me. After I was born, there were kidnapping threats and one attempt so he did everything to keep me safe. Unfortunately, safety meant a lonely existence. Always locked away with guards, no friends. If it weren't for the nuns, my professors, and guards I'd have no human interaction.

My father visited as much as possible. I know he loves me and everything he does is with the best intentions, even though his love is kind of suffocating. Hopefully, my life will change a little now. He can't keep me secluded forever. There are no more schools to send me to and certainly no reason to send me to the abbey. My hope is he will groom me now to take over his empire someday. The thought of me having a family of my own seems ridiculous. I don't know how to talk to men and, even if I did, I wouldn't know what to say. Who could I even trust? Anyone who would give me the time of day would only want me for my impending inheritance.

If you got a look at me, you'd understand. My father does not allow me to be fashionable. My clothing is expensive, but dull. Everything is boxy and covers me from neck to toe. For several years, I thought it was a religious thing because my father was so insistent on my wardrobe. I've never worn makeup, and my hair - don't get me started. It's a dark brown, frizzy disaster that's long and boring. I've always envied other girls at school with their sleek, glossy manes. Unfortunately, anything that would make me attractive was off limits. Apparently, the risk that paparazzi would find me and photograph me was high. I certainly was nothing that would attract media - I was unattractive and I did nothing scandalous.

Do you think I am feeling sorry for myself? Don't. I am simply stating facts. We all have our lot in life. Mine is a life of seclusion and looking like a 22 year old kindergarten student. If I can at least find meaning in working for my father, that should be all the fulfillment I need. That's why I am a little excited this afternoon. My father told me this morning to come to the casino office after lunch. He said we need to talk about my future and I am hoping this means I can work for him. It's just so exciting to get out of this mansion. Maybe he'll let me get a makeover and start dressing normal if I am to be involved in the business. I mean, I've got to be safe behind these walls. I am just so excited to find out what the future will bring!

Matheo and Lucas, my guards/drivers, escorted me to the casino in our bullet proof limo. As they brought me through the private back entrance to the casino offices, my heart began pounding. This is the most nervous I ever was in my life. What proposal could my father have for me? Perhaps he would make me a finance director since that is my business area of interest.

After snaking through private tunnels, we walked into my father's office through the secret entrance. His assistant, Gretta, greeted me with a hug and instructed me to go right into his office as he was expecting me. She looked a little nervous. That or she was horrified at my appearance. She hadn't seen me in two years. Perhaps she was hoping I had blossomed into beauty resembling my mother. That would never happen. My mother was a flawless beauty. Instead, Gretta was treated to the same "gooch" (as the boys at school so graciously called me) appearance I always sported.

Shaking off Gretta's expression, I walked into my father's office prepared to meet my destiny. "Hello Dad!" I chirped and was met with my father's warm smile with a hint of a smirk on his face, "Hello my love. Are you ready to meet your future?" My smile faded as I looked towards two young men sitting across from my father's desk. They turned to look at me and I was greeted by a curly haired boy with a horrified look on his face. Okay, I know I look hideous to this guy, but he could at least try to hide his shock. Slowly, the other young man turned to look at me and I watched in horror as the most beautiful blue eyes I've ever seen changed expressions from one of disgust to pure hatred.

"Oh, I'm sorry to interrupt! Gretta told me it was okay to walk right in," I said extremely embarrassed and uncomfortable with these two men.

"No darling, it's fine. These gentlemen are here for our meeting," as soon as he finished speaking I heard the man with the beautiful blue eyes scoff. Why was he being so hateful?

"Oh well then," never forgetting my manners, I walked towards the men to introduce myself and shake their hands. We were taught in business communications to put your bashfulness aside and play the part of the confident business person. This was the only situation I had confidence.

"Hello, my name is Loren Franchescho. Nice to meet you." The curly haired boy gained his composure, shook my hand and spoke but wouldn't meet my eyes. He had beautiful green eyes and was so handsome.

"Hello Loren, I'm Harry. Harry Styles."

"Nice to meet you Mr. Styles."

"Harry is fine." He gave me an odd look.

"Then, please call me Loren."

"Do you not know who I am Loren?" he asked looking confused.

"Uh no? I assume you are a business associate of my father. I just returned from Cambridge and I haven't been in Monaco much while I studied at university the past four years." I turned to look at my father questioningly and he just sat there with a smirk on his face.

"Oh." Harry looked even more confused. I decided to move on.

"Hello, Loren Franchescho," I reached my hand out towards the brown haired, blue eyed god sitting before me and braced myself for the skin contact...that never came.

"Harry might fall for your shit, but I won't," he spat and before the gasp escaped my mouth, Matheo and Lucas pulled the man from his seat and jacked him up against the wall.

"Mr. Tomlinson you WILL show my daughter respect at all times or there WILL be serious consequences!" my father shouted as he rose to his feet.

"Please stop! Release him!" I didn't understand what was happening, but I couldn't watch this man get hurt. Matheo and Lucas forcefully sat him back in the chair.

"Well then, I suggest you not play me for a fool any longer and pretend you don't know who I am and that daddy didn't get his little girl exactly what she wanted," he spoke so coldly to me. What could I have possibly done to this man to make him hate me?

"Da-a-ad? What is he talking about? Am I going to work for HIM?" I stuttered. I didn't understand what was happening.

"No darling. You work for no man," was my father's response and he shot this Mr. Tomlinson a dirty look.

"Now Mr. Tomlinson, I will give you a second chance. Would you care to introduce yourself to my beloved daughter? She has no clue who you are and to accuse her of anything would only cause me to make good on my, uh promise," my father spoke with a tone that had a touch of venom. I don't know what is between my father and this man, but it is not good. Something about the way my father said 'promise' sounded more like a threat. The man glared at him.

"Fine!" I was taken back that anyone dared speak to my father with that tone. He is a very powerful man.
The man stood up. I stretched out my hand again, but he refused to take it. Instead, he placed his hands on his hips and put that look of pure hatred on his face before he spoke.

"I am Louis Tomlinson, worldwide pop sensation from One Direction, and I am being forced to marry you!"

I could not have possibly heard that correctly.

"Come again?" Is all I could manage to get out as I looked between my father and the man.

"Yes darling, you are to marry young Louis here," my father stated as if it was the most expected issue on earth.

"Nooooo!" I shrieked.

"My thoughts exactly," my supposed soon-to-be husband sassed and he was rewarded by Matheus knocking him out.

The last thing I remembered hearing was Harry and I yelling to stop hurting Louis and then everything went black.
