The Deal

Chapter Fourteen

*Olivia Harper*

The pain in my stomach was unbearable. I felt like I was going to throw up. My throat was absolutely dry. I opened my eyes, and the light streaming through the window hurt my eyes. I squeezed them shut again, laying still in bed. I felt terrible, and even moving a finger made me feel like I’d explode.

I was an idiot. How could I drink so damn much, knowing I had school the next day? I don’t even know how I managed to get off bed. After about ten minutes of dry heaving into the toilet bowl, I managed to drag myself to the sink and brush my teeth. After taking a shower, I downed two Tylenol tablets and and about two glasses of water. A nap would have helped, but I had to get my ass to school.

By the time I went down for breakfast, Linda and dad had already left. I hurriedly gulped down my breakfast and left for school.

As I drove to school, I tried to think back to the events of the previous night, trying to recall anything. All I remembered was walking into the house and dancing with a few people. After that, I’d probably started drinking and that’s the part from where everything seemed hazy. I remember staggering from one place to another and grinding against random boys. I remember knowing I should stop, promising myself that every cup I took would be my last, and finding myself breaking that promise as soon I emptied the cup of its contents.

Harry. I remembered Harry. Nothing else, I just remembered him hovering over me as I sat on the bar stool, downing drink after drink. I remembered tight grip around my waist as he supported my weight, I remembered his arms around me. I didn’t know when he’d left, where he’d left me, who he’d left with. I just remembered…him.

Had I apologized to him? Or had I just thrown up all over his clothes?

I parked the car and got off. As I walked to school, I spotted Lexi walking in the building.

“Hey, Lex!” I called out. She didn’t hear me though, but just continued walking. “Lexi!” I frowned when she still didn’t turn around. “Alexandra!”

She did turn around when I called her by her real name. I grinned and caught up with her. “Hi, you.”

“God, Liv, you know I don’t like anyone calling me that.” she snapped.

I laughed. “Well, you weren’t listening so I figured that would be the best way to grab your attention.” I said.

“You’re so annoying.” she grumbled, rolling her eyes.

“What crawled up your pants this morning?” I asked her, confused.

“Shut up, Liv!” she snapped. “God, you think you’re so funny, don’t you? Just…leave me alone, I have class.”

I watched, confused, as she stalked off. Had I done something? The last time I’d seen her, she seemed fine.

“Hey, there.” someone bumped my shoulder. I turned to see Harry standing behind me, smiling down at me with his signature half smile. “Didn’t think I’d see you here.”

“Why?” I asked him.

“Aren’t you hungover as hell?” he asked.

I chuckled. “You have no idea.” I said. “Hey, listen, you were there at the party last night, right?”

“Mmhmm.” he nodded, as we started walking to class. I was glad we were talking normally like this, and he didn’t seem pissed off or mad.

“Did I…what…what the fuck happened last night?” I asked him.

“You mean besides you declaring your undying love for me?” he asked.

I looked up at him. “Be serious.” I mumbled.

“I am,” he insisted. “You were all “o-m-g, Harry, I’m in love with you!”.”

I laughed. “You did not just say “o-m-g”.”

He laughed too. “Okay, I’m kidding.” he told me. “Nothing, really. You just got a bit too drunk last night, is all.”

“So I didn’t…like…you know, do anything stupid?” I asked him. “Because Lexi won’t talk to me. I tried to talk to her and she just snapped at me and walked off.”

“Oh, right.” Harry said. “She was having fun last night, so. And then we had to drop you home, so you sort of rained on her parade.”

“You guys went together?” I asked him. “Last night?”

We’d reached my locker. Harry leaned against the locker next to mine as I fished my books out. “Yeah, she suggested.” he said. “So I figured, well, why not, you know?”

“Oh.” was all I said. Then I took a deep breath, and turned to Harry. “Look, Harry, I wanted to say something to you.”

“Let me guess—” he started

I cut across him. “No, it’s not ‘o-m-g, Harry, I’m in love with you’.” I said, grinning.

“Damn!” he joked. “Okay, no, what is it?”

“Harry, I…I mean, I shouldn’t have snapped at you like that. I’m, you know…I—”

“Wait, wait.” Harry said, holding his hands up. “Are you…apologizing?”

I looked down, embarrassed. “So?”

“Wow.” he breathed. “Olivia Harper…saying sorry?

“It’s not that big of a deal!” I insisted.

He laughed. “Olivia, you don’t have to.” he said, and placed his hand on my shoulder. “It’s okay.”

I sighed, relieved. “For real?”

“For real.” he smiled. Then he leaned forward, placing his lips right next to my ear. “If you really want to make it up to me, though…maybe we could meet near that huge brick wall behind the ground during lunch.”

I quickly caught on to what he was saying. He pulled away, and I grinned. “Oh, you bet I’m going to make it up to you.” I told him. “See you, Harry.”

“See you.” he winked, before turning around and walking off.

I spotted Lexi standing near her locker, texting. I quickly walked up to her, and tapped her shoulder. She looked up, and her expression hardened. “What do you want?”

“Lexi,” I said, “I’m sorry for ruining your night.”

“Oh, Harry told you, huh?” she asked me. “It wasn’t just my night you ruined, you know?”

“Look, Lexi,” I said, “I said I’m sorry. We go out and get drunk all the time. Why is this suddenly such a big deal?”

“It was always a big deal, Liv!” Lexi sighed. “God, you don’t think anything you do has consequences? This isn’t just about this party only. You just go out and get drunk and expect everyone to take care of you. You ruin everything all the damn time. “

“Lexi stop over reacting!” I said. “God, since when did you and Harry become so close anyway?”

“Why, are you jealous?” she asked me, rolling her eyes. “How does it matter? You’ll find some other guy to clean up your mess pretty soon. Sticking to one boy isn’t your thing, is it?”

“What—?”

“You moved on from Dylan pretty quickly.” she said. By now, people who were walking by were staring at us.

“Lexi, stop it, you’re making a scene.” I siad. “Look, I just wanted to say sorry.”

“Oh, yeah.” Lexi snorted. “Sorry fixes everything. You think Harry isn’t pissed off with you? He’s just too nice, Liv. He’s tired of taking care of you all the time. He’s just too nice to say it. Or maybe it’s just your little deal. He walks around behaving like your servant in exchange for sloppy blowjobs!”

Now people did stop and stare shamelessly. I looked around, embarrassed. “Lexi—”

“You’re a whore, Olivia.” Lexi said. “You go around hooking up with boys and use them to satisfy yourself, and then dump them. That’s what you did with Dylan too, isn’t it? Him cheating on you gave you a good excuse to dump him on his ass and make him the bad guy. You’re going to do the same when you get bored of Harry too, isn’t it?”

“You’re dragging this issue, Lexi!” I said. “Stop going all ‘PMS’ up my ass because you didn’t get one night with lover-boy.”

One night.” she said. “This has been going on ever since your mum died, Liv. The only thing you’re good at is going out and getting drunk. I’m so tired of your bullshit.”

“Well then you could have said!” I snapped. “You didn’t have to put up with it.”

“Don’t you dare make this about me.” she said. “Don’t you know what your real reputation in this school is? Everyone thinks you’re a whore. Everyone knows you’re a whore. You go out, get drunk, hook up. You’re a waste of space, Liv. Your dead mum must be so proud!”

I stood there, shocked as she yelled out her last sentence. The whole hall was silent, and I stood rooted at the spot, unable to believe what she’d just said. I felt tears sting at the back of my eyes.

“Slut,” she spat. “Next time you have to lose it like that, don’t come to the same party Harry and I are at.”

She pushed past me and walked off. I was left standing, as everyone crowded there continued to stare at me. I fought the urge to sink to the ground right then and there, and spun on my heels and pushed past everyone. I found myself face to face with Harry, who was standing there with an expression that told me that he’d everything. I pushed past him too and ran.

Olivia ran straight out of the building. Everyone was mumbling to each other. “Don’t you all have classes to attend?” I snapped out loud. “Scatter.”

Everyone walked off together in twos or threes, still chattering about what had just happened. Throwing aside the fact that I had class, I ran out in the direction Olivia had just gone. I burst through the doors, and looked around. I went to the parking lot to see if her car was till there, or if she’d made a run for it. I sighed, relieved, to see her car was still there. I was about to turn, when I noticed she was sitting inside.

I walked up the her car and gently tapped the window with my knuckles. She looked up. Her windows were so tinted I couldn’t see what her expression was like. I held up a hand to wave at her slightly. Open, I mouthed.

She opened the door and stepped out. Her eyes were slightly red, and her cheeks were wet. She hurriedly dabbed at them with the back of her hand and looked up at me. “What?” she asked, her voice cracking.

I reached out to pull her into a hug. “Harper…”

“No, no,” she said, pushing at my chest. “Harry, I’m fine. I just—”

“You’re not fine.” I said. “You know it, and I know it.”

She looked down, hiding her face from me. I could hear her quiet sobs, and I sighed. “Olivia, Lexi was just angry, that’s all.” I said, and took her hands in mine. “Hey, look up.”

“No.” she whimpered.

I put to fingers under her chin and tilted her face upwards. “Look here,” I said. “It’s okay.” I bent down to hug her. She wrapped her arms around me and cried into my shirt. I let her do so, not saying a word. I only stroked her back and held her as she did so. She clutched the back of my shirt tighter as her sobs grew, and I tightened my grip around her. I placed a kiss on top of her forehead, mumbling what I hoped were soothing words.

After a while she pulled away.

“Fuck, I hate crying.” she muttered, sniffing. She stroked her cheeks with my thumb, wiping away her tears.

“You look really cute when you do, though.” I said, tweaking her nose. “You look like Rudolph.”

She let out a watery chuckle. “She didn’t have to bring mum into this.” she said.

“She didn’t.” I agreed. It was true. In fact, Lexi shouldn’t have said any of the things she’d said. “You okay?”

“I’m fine.” she said. “I just need to get a grip, is all.”

“Hmm, wanna ditch school and grab some coffee?” I asked her.

“Actually, I have something else in mind.” she said, smirking up at me. I grinned, knowing where this was going.

“Oh?” I asked her, placing my hand on her small waist. “What is that?”

“I believe I said I was going to make it up to you.” she said, reaching up to kiss me.

I placed my hands on the car, on either side ofher head, and leaned in and kissed her back. It didn’t take too long for the kiss to heat up, before my tongue was battling with hers. I placed my large hands on either side of her waist as our bodies pressed together. Her hands fisted my shirt and our bodies flattened against each other’s, till we were connected everywhere—lips, chest, hips, knees.

I moved my lips down to her neck, and she gasped. “Get in the car or someone will see.”

The next three minutes or so passed by in us hurriedly getting into the car and shedding our clothings. I couldn’t wait to get her out of her clothes.

I pushed her on her back onto the back seat, and was about to kiss her when she stopped me. She placed a small hand on my chest and smirked. “Sit up.” she said.

I did as she said. She crawled onto my lap and kissed me roughly. I massaged her breasts with my hands and he lips moved to my neck. She sucked on my skin harshly. I could feel my cock throbbing, and all I needed to to was be inside her. She took my cock in her hand and pumped it slowly. I threw my head back against the seat and let out a loud huff of breath. I looked at her just in time to see her spreading apart her lips and grinding gently against my cock.

“Fuck,” I breathed. She whimpered and I leaned forward to take her breast in my mouth.

As I sucked on her nipple, our movements became more and more desperate and urgent. I bit my lips to stop gravelly form tumbling out of my mouth as we rocked our hips against each others, gripping her waist tightly.

“Harry,” she purred in my ear. “Shit.”

“Need to be—inside you—” I gasped.

She stopp grinding against me, and lifted her hips slightly before lowering herself onto me.

“Ahh.” I groaned as her tight, wet heat surrounded me.

A few seconds later, she started moving. At first the pace was slow, but soon her hips were moving erratically against mine, as loud moans escaped her mouth. Her hands were sure to leave prints on my shoulder where she’d gripped them too hard, but I didn’t mind. As she bounched on my cock, I sucked on her neck, muffling my moans against her skin.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck,” she chanted. “Harry!”

I knew she was close, I could figure it out by the way her moans were becoming increasingly high pitced. I was close too. I thrusted my hips upwards to meet her thrusts, and the car was filled with moans, pants, and the noise of our skin slapping together.

“Damn it, Harper,” I moaned. “You’re so tight.”

Her walls tightened around me and she came, throwing her head back and letting out a loud, high pitched moan that was almost a scream. Her tightening walls sent me over the edge and I groaned, shooting my liquids inside her.

“Ah, yeah.” I hissed as our hips gradually stopped moving. We stilled our movements, breathing hard as both of us tried to catch our breathes.

Olivia leaned forward and rested her forehead on hy shoulder, panting. “Amazing,” she breathed.

I smirked. “I am.” I told her.

After a few minutes of silence, she pulled away and looked at me. “Harry?”

“Mmm?”

“Do I piss you off all the time?” she asked me. “Are you tired of having to run behind me and taking care of me when I’m drunk?”

I shook my head. “No.” I told her. “Of course not, Harper. To be honest, I love it when you’re drunk. It’s like being with a five year old.” I laughed.

She smiled. “If I piss you off, will you tell me?”

“I have a feeling I won’t ever have to.” I told her, and tweaked her nose.
