New Arrival
“You!” I point at Niall “Find Tia now!” I shoot orders at him, he looks scared at first but stands frantically and starts jogging around the room looking for her.
“Dani breathe, I need you to breathe” I hear Harry soothing her as a contraction pounds its way through her. Shit shit shit… I have no idea what I’m doing I’ve never been in the same room with a women giving labor.
I notice the rest of the group staring at us like baboons, seriously?
“Louis call Liam now and tell him to meet us at the hospital” I yell as I hear Dani scream once more. People have started to surround us and the last thing I want is her to be crowded and in labor.
“Nina, get me the fuck out of here” Dani hisses while clenching Harry’s hand, which I can tell is in pain.
“Zayn, El go get the car started, Perrie you and Niall and Tia deal with these people and the gifts”
“I need my mom I can’t go without her and she’s not here yet” Dani winces as we stand her up
“Perrie! Call Dani’s mom, get her to the hospital as well”
“I’ve called Liam, he’s on his way” Louis announces with a cell phone in the air.
“Lets take her out the back” We struggle to get her through the crowd of people and frankly it makes me mad how they can’t back off when a women is in fucking labor.
“Harry” Dani whines as another powerful contraction comes on.
“You’re doing great Dani we need to get you into the car so you can go have your baby girl” Harry sooths her and it melts my heart. He’s unbelievably perfect.
“It’s too early she’s too early what if she’s not healthy” I see a tear roll down Dani’s cheek as we enter the car.
“Hey” I grab her hand and say firmly “Everything is going to be okay, you’re having this baby now and you’re going to do amazingly”
She gives me a weak smile “Okay lets go do this” I sit back and take a deep breath as Harry speeds past drivers.
Contractions rip through her body over and over again and I feel so bad for her, there’s nothing we can do to make it stop.
When we arrive at the hospital we see Liam waiting outside anxiously with a medical staff, they rush her into a wheel chair and whisk her away into a room.
“No I need Harry and Nina with me” She looks up at Liam who has worry etched in his face.
“Come on” Liam gestures us forward. I follow, walking quite fast, Harry does the same but he puts his hand on my back and he doesn’t remove it.
We practically sprint through the hospital room door, Harry and I stand off to the side as they move Dani into a bed, not once does Liam’s hand leave hers. Harry has his eyebrows furrowed, he’s really paying attention to everything the doctors and nurses do.
We have to leave the room while the dress her into the proper wear, when we return she looks more comfortable, but she has wires and all types of contraptions attached to her and her stomach.
“She’s only 7cm dilated, I’ll be back in 45 minutes to check her again” One of the doctors says to Liam, he nods and the doctor leaves.
“Wh- Where is he going?” Danielle says weakly, it aches my heart.
“He’ll be back soon babe, you aren’t ready to push yet” Liam rubs her hair.
She closes her eyes and pain becomes clear in her every pour. Liam stares at her with a concerned face as a contraction rips through her.

“Okay Danielle” The doctor pauses “ I need you to push”
Instantly she looks scared and grabs my hand with her spare one. The other clasped tight onto Liam and it looks to be turning purple. Harry leans against the window, not in view of any of Danielle. Which is what he wanted, boys are so weird.
“And push” The doctor orders, Dani yells and I’ve lost feeling in my hand. Beads of sweat make there way down her face. She lets out another blood curdling scream and it makes my ears ring. She throws her head back and takes a deep breath.
“You can do it love” Liam presses his forehead against hers and whispers something to her I cant hear. Something about his sweet gesture makes me smile, they are an amazing couple.
“The baby is crowning” “Push!” The doctor demands once more, Dani’s face molds into exhaustion as she lets out another push.
Everyone stops
You could hear a pin drop
Dani’s face turns into relief
Liam’s mouth splits across his face into the biggest smile I’ve ever seen.
Harry moves across the room to us in what seems to be slow motion, his face too filled with excitement.
The cry of a baby fills the room......
Liam grasps Dani’s face, crying and telling her how good she did. Harry grabs my waist and pulls me into a hug, I hold his head as he buries it in my neck.
Liam swiftly cuts the umbilical cord.
“Congratulations, it’s a girl” The doctor holds up the crying baby so Dani can see her.
Tears run down her hollowed cheeks, I’ve never seen her look so weak but she has that proud motherly glow.
They move the baby to get weighed.
“Nina” Dani looks up at me “Thank you so much” I hug her gently.
“Congrats man” Harry pats Liam’s shoulder, Liam pulls him into a hug.
I giggle and the first tear falls out of my eye.
“Here you are” The nurse hands Dani the newborn baby, now calm since it’s delivery.
Harry grabs my hand and we back up giving the new parents a moment.
It’s breathtaking, the amount of love present in this newly formed family is outstanding. I’ve never seen Liam look so proud and happy. They both gleam down at their little one.
Harry rests his head on the top of mine “She’s beautiful isn’t she?” He whispers
I look up at him “She’s the most beautiful little thing I’ve ever seen”
He kisses my temple and I lean into him.
“Ella” Dani speaks, catching us all by surprise “Ella Karen Payne”
She looks up at Liam “ Do you like that?” She smiles
“I love it” He answers.
“Nina, Harry come hold your godchild” Dani teases us from being so far away from them, It’s nice to see her joke even though she’s so tired.
Liam hands me Ella and I stare down at her petite little body, I walk over to the rocking chair at the other end of the room and sit down. She’s amazing, I never knew something so perfect could be so small. I notice Harry watching me.
“Do you want to hold her?” I ask him. He seems hesitant at first but eventually nods.
She looks even tinier in his big arms, he looks down at her and I laugh, another girl has caught the attention of Harry Styles, luckily I don’t mind this one.
“Elle Karen Payne 5 pounds 13 ounces, born at 3:04pm on May 31st 2013” I read off her hospital tag.
Harry has Ella over by the window when the rest of the group herds through the doorway like zoo animals.
“Dani” El shrieks when the baby is in view
“She’s absolutely perfect oh my god” El gawks down at the sleeping baby in Harry’s arm.
Zayn, Niall and Louis hover over as well.
“Harry my turn” Zayn complains
“Fine but this is a tiny human be careful” Harry scolds him before giving the baby over to Zayn.
“Uncle Louis wants a turn too!” Louis gives Zayn a pouty face.
“Don’t forget about me!” Perrie stands up
“What about Uncle Niall” Niall steps in front of Perrie.

“We should give them a moment alone” I suggest, Zayn starts walking out the room with the baby making Dani panic momentarily.
“Zayn give the poor mom back her baby” Perrie yells at him, he chuckles and gives Ella back to her mom.
“We’re going to go get food and be back” El tells the new parents.
“How many kids do you want to have?” Harry squeezes my hand as we walk down the hospital hallway, far behind the rest of the group.
I look up at him, confused, why does he want to know this “I don’t know, 2 or 4 maybe” I shrug my shoulders
His face turns pale and I hear him gulp down. He stutters “F-Four? That’s allot of kids love” He runs his hand through his curly hair.
“How many do you want?” I feel required to ask him
“Well 1 maybe 2 I haven’t really thought about it” He seems concerned about something.
“Any particular reason you’re asking me?” I ask non-chelontly.
He turns in and stares at me, flickering his eyes along my frame. He pauses briefly before saying “Because one day I want to have kids with you, and marry you and grow old with you, you’re the one Nina, and I’ve known that for a while now” His dark green eyes turn glossy and hooded.
His words leave me speechless, I love this man with everything I’ve got.
