Lost In My Mind
Harry’s P.O.V
I nervously shake my left leg as Louis and I wait to hear anything, they’ve whisked away Nina into a room for testing and x-rays, I cringe at the thought of her in any pain.
“Hey man” I feel Louis’ hand on my shoulder blade “You look like a mess, she’s going to be fine, it was a soccer injury not a car accident”
I breathe in and sit up straight, cupping my hands together “I just want to see her”
Louis opens his mouth but then closes it when the rest of the group immerges from the elevator.
“How’s she doing?” Zayn asks while walking up
“No idea yet, they haven’t let us in the room” Louis answers for me, he understands how I feel right now, which is why he’s my best friend.
“That was a dirty play” Liam sulks and sits beside me, I nod emotionlessly.
“She is going to be alright though right?” Niall looks around at the fearful faces.
“I think she is going to be just fine” Dominic, Nina’s father immerges from behind.
“ Harry, could I have a word in private please?” He ushers me forward.
I stand confused and follow him down the hall.
“ What can I do for you Mr. Jones?” I furrow my eyebrows and place my hands in my pockets.
“ I understand how you might be angry with me, as Nina is but I need you to know that everything my wife and I have done has been to protect Nina and Tia, you’ll understand one day when you have children” He says quietly, avoiding my eye contact.
I smirk slightly “ You don’t have to explain yourself to me Sir, with all do respect I think Nina deserves more of an explanation than I do”
“ I like you Harold, I do, you seem like a better boyfriend to Nina then Tom was, what’s going to happen when your band goes off this break of yours and you start your tour?” he says with icy intent hidden in his voice.
I can’t think of an answer to his question so I quickly avoid it “Did you know about everything? Nina’s brother, the will, the way her parents actually passed away?”
He pauses and a sinister look flashes briefly through his eyes “ I don’t know what you’re on to boy, but you best keep the knowledge you’re assuming private from Nina” He says guiltily
“ I would hate to see you and Nina break up, but accidents can happen and I’m not entirely sure you are the best thing for my daughter” He smirks small and walks away.
I wait several minutes before returning.
“ Hey the nurse says we can see Nina now” Tia informs me upon reaching them
“ Mom and Dad just went to get coffee” She answers my questionable look
“Would you guys mind if I went in alone first?” I ask, my voice sounding hopeful
“Not at all, she’s your girlfriend” Louis chuckles sarcastically
Nina’s P.O.V
“Alright Miss Vinci, it won’t be necessary for you to spend the night, but you will need to be woken up by someone every three hours to take the medication required for the mild concussion you have achieved, also your ankle is twisted and inflamed, we will give you crutches to help you walk for the next week or so, continue to ice if pain doesn’t subside” The doctor looks up at me from his clip board.
I glance up confused, my head has never hurt this much before. “Um okay” I groan and he places the prescription on the nightstand, smiling he says “Your loved ones can come in now”
“Harry” I breath when I see him appear, his face drops when he notices the IV in my left arm.
“Oh Nina” He rushes forward and elopes me in a soft gentle hug, stroking my hair slowly.
“ I’m fine I promise,” I say weakly, trying to hide the pain in my voice, I don’t think he’s buying it though.
“I can come home today” His face lights up a bit.
“Hey beautiful” Louis appears in the doorway with the rest of the group
“Nina you played amazing, that girl made a cheap shot” Liam says frantically
I laugh as they usher into the room.
“Nina” I hear the voice of my father
I feel my stomach drop as I see the guilty faces of my mother, father and Tia standing in the archway.
“Thank god you’re okay” my mother walks over to my bedside, opposite to were Harry is standing, she lifts her hands to my face but I turn away to avoid it.
“You’re still upset,” She says with disbelief
“Upset? I’m not upset, I’m furious and what nerve you have to come here,” I snap at her
“Don’t you dare talk to your mother like that” Dad yells and I feel the entire atmosphere in the room change.
I narrow my eyes at his angry face “She’s not my mother”
“Nina” Harry warns when he sees me wince from the pain in my temples
“No, I don’t want them here” I look up at him
“Nina please” Tia began, a few tears trailing down her face.
“No, just go please” I stammer, and close my eyes.
“This is unbelievable, lets go” Dad urges icily, they walk to the door but Tia stays 4 feet in front of me staring at me hopelessly.
“Tia” Dad calls out
“Tia lets go” He speaks again
She pauses but then spins around and follows them.
“I should talk to Tia” Niall announces before leaving
“That was a little harsh Nina” Louis scolds
“What was harsh was they fact they lied about me having a brother for 12 years, now lets go home please” I stand, with Harry holding onto my waist and grab the crutches left against the wall.
3 days later
“Stop fighting your injury love” Harry laughs at me as I struggle with my crutches.
“ I hate these fucking things” I chuck them across the hotel room floor and sit down on the edge of the bed frustrated.
“At least your head feels better” Harry sits next to me and plants a kiss on my shoulder.
“And the paps have stopped taking pictures of me” I whine
“They haven’t stopped baby you just haven’t left the hotel in days” Harry smiles big, revealing his dimples.
“I need to move out of the apartment with Tia, I need a new start,” I say quietly
“Move to London with me” He grins seductively and whispers in my ear.
“I just want to go somewhere quiet and write, that’s all I want to do, I don’t even want to go to school anymore I just want to write” I look at my knotted fingers
“I really want to see all the places my parents owned homes” I admit shyly
“Then lets go explore” He chuckles and rests his head on mine, I smile but then my stomach turns.
“I want to take Wyatt with me, these homes are every bit his as they are mine” I add, watching Harry’s face drop from excitement to sadness.
“I don’t know how I feel about you travelling without me” He brushes his hand across my cheek gently.
“You travel without me all the time” I reply
“That’s because you’re stubborn and wont come with me” I feel him smile as he buries his head in the crook of my neck.
“I need to resign from school, and move out of mine and Tia’s apartment” I frown I miss Tia.
“What about us?” I hear the fear in his voice, I pause confused.
“What about us baby?” Wrap my arms around his neck
“ If I let you go travelling with your brother, you’re not going to resign from us right?” He stares at me with his glossy eyes all joking has escaped from his face.
“Never, it’s me and you forever” I say quietly and take out the H necklace rested around my neck. His mouthparts before gently pressing his lips against mine, “ I love you Nina” He breathes on them.
Tia’s P.O.V
“Niall?” I stand up out of my bed, and stare at the clothes scattered around the room from the events that took place last night, I pick up his shirt and slip it on.
“I’m in here babe” I walk out and see him in the kitchen wearing nothing but his boxers cooking something on the stove.
“Good morning sunshine” He walks over and twists his arms around me I giggle as he lets go.
“Have you thought of a plan yet?” His tone goes serious and I frown
“To get Nina to not hate me? No I don’t know what I’m going to do” I look down at the food he’s put in front of me.
“ I didn’t know Niall Horan was a cook” I wink at him
“Actually Harry’s a far better cook than me, but I’m good at breakfast” he sits up at the bar beside me
“I need to get out of here, I hate this apartment without Nina” I run my eyes over her bedroom door.
“Come stay in London with me” He says enthusiastically
“Are you already asking me to move in with you?” I almost choke on my orange juice
His eyes widen “ No! Just come stay with me for a while until you know what you want to do”
“ I do love London,” I laugh at how scared his face looked
“I’m leaving this weekend if you want to come” He raises his eyebrows.
“ I might, but I need to talk to Nina first” I look down at my bare feet and say sheepishly
“I think I can help come up with a plan,” He says mischievously.
4 days later
Nina’s P.O.V
“Well I can finally walk without these things” I stride out into the dining room of the hotel penthouse.
“NINA” Dani and El spin around, happiness instantly runs through me
“Oh my god!” I limp up to them I hug El and then look at Dani, she’s gotten so much bigger than the last time I’ve seen her, I rest one hand on her tummy “You look amazing with a baby bump”
“ Only 2 more months” She glows with pride, Liam walks up behind her and rests his palms on her belly.
“I can’t wait” I smile up at the cute couple.
“ Dani, looking good” Harry strides into the room, and drapes his arm over my shoulders
“Hey Nina, Harry, can we talk to you?” Dani looks nervous as she asks us.
Harry and I look at each other “Sure” He answers as we follow them into Liam’s room.
“ So with the baby coming soon we’ve had allot of decisions to make” Liam starts shaky. Dani grins up at her boyfriend before cutting him off.
“ We’re wondering if you guys would be the Godparents, along with Zayn and El” She smirks and rubs Liam’s forearms
I pause and look over at Harry “ Well man I can’t say no, I’d be honored” Harry and Liam clasp hands and pull into a hug.
I give a half smile and speak quickly “I’d love too”
Dani gives a small squeal before pulling me into a full blown pregnant hug, tears and everything.

“I can’t believe they chose us as godparents” I fall back onto Harry’s bed, I quickly wrap my hair up into a messy bun and think of all the reasons Dani would pick me over her or Liam’s family members, Harry touches my chin and it breaks my train of thought.
“I don’t know why but just be happy about it, Dani really likes you” He hovers over me and brings his face close to mine I giggle and grasp his cheeks with my two palms.
“You look so sexy in nightwear,” he says huskily. I press my mouth onto his, and his tongue invades like an explorer discovering something foreign. I grind my hips up against his pelvis, receiving a small moan from his mouth –
“Nina, there’s someone here for you” Louis barges in with Zayn at his side
“Good god you two are like rabbits” Louis says pretending to be outraged.
“Who’s here Louis?” I ask annoyed
“Come see Nineeners” Zayn sounds concerned which can never be good, I push Harry off of me.
“This better be good” I walk out
“Nina” Tia calls.
