Breathe

“ El the gift shop won’t have tests” I heard Dani say as El’s eyes were scanning the shop. They both looked at me. I heard the elevator ding again and out came the angry One Direction.

“ Um run” I pushed them towards the doors

“ STOP” I heard Harry yell but we had already left the hotel

“ They won’t follow us out here” Dani reassured me as we slowed down our pace to walking

“ So were do we go?” El asked me

“ Um there’s a pharmacy about two blocks down,” I pointed

The pharmacy smelt like a hospital and Dani had spent twenty minutes looking through all the tests, El and I were leaning on the aisles as she looked at the non-digital tests for the fourth time.

“ Seriously just pick one Dani” El snapped at her.

“ Please pick one,” I asked more gently while slapping El’s arm

“ Okay this one” She picked up one with purple packaging

“ You should buy more than one,” I said while grabbing a couple different kinds

“ Why?” she looked confused

“ So that you know for sure, you should never go off of one test, all tests are different” I smiled warmly at her and she pulled El and I into a swift hug

“ What would I do without you two” she grinned at us.

We got to the cash register and Dani waited to pay for her tests.

“ Maybe we should buy the boys snacks as a condolence” I suggested

“ Great plan!” El was excited as she led me into the candy aisle.

“ Louis likes these” El said as she grabbed a couple red candy packages

“ What does Harry like?” I asked shyly

“ Gummy bears” She smiled at me and squeezed my shoulder

Dani walked up to us

“ Lets go girls, why are you getting candy?”

“ Well we have to tell the boys something as to why we left when we return” El explained


“ The total is 70.23” The lady behind the cash register said. El and I looked at each other completely amused by how much we spent on candy. We handed the women the money and left the store.

I noticed Dani walking slower than the rest of us.

“ You okay?” I asked cautiously. Dani ran into the grass and threw up all over the ground.

“ Jeez babe maybe you are prego” El made a uncomfortable grunt

“ What do you think Liam would do?” I looked at Dani

“ I don’t know that’s the scary part” Her eyes started watering as we walked back into the hotel lobby.

We entered the elevator before Dani said

“ Okay so when we get in I’ll run upstairs with the tests and you guys take the candy to the boys and act like nothings wrong and be extra touchy with your boyfriends okay?” Dani sounded so funny but we both nodded at her “ And then come up and meet me in the bathroom I was in earlier”

We entered the hotel room to see the boys all sitting in the kitchen which was unexpected, we looked at Dani who quickly walked past them all and up the stairs leaving El and I in the One Direction ring of fire.

“ Where are you going” Liam called out to her but didn’t get a response. El and I threw on our flirtiest smiles and walked over to the group.


“ We went to get you guys candy!” I said while walking over to Harry and sitting on his lap.

“ YEAH, look at it all!” El dumped it out on the table “ We nearly spent 100 dollars on you guys”

They didn’t say anything and Harrys body tensed up more and more each second; damn they were really mad. I kissed Harrys cheek and he flashed me a horrible look.

“ Okay well you guys can cool off me and El are going to go cuddle” I got off of Harry and he tried to hide his disappointment.

“ Yeah you guys are lame” El walked over to me and wrapped her arm around me

“ Who needs Louis when I have you baby?” She looked down at me jokingly.

“ Yeah sorry Harry” I joked back and El and I turned and started walking towards the stairs.

“ They were so mad they wouldn’t even talk to us!” I laughed as we walked up the stairs

“ Eh they’ll get over it” El was laughing to.

We entered the bathroom to see Dani sitting on the counter

“ Ready?” she asked, we both nodded

Dani sat down and started peeing with the stick between her legs.

“Ew” El turned away

She got up and put the stick on the counter

“ Now we wait 15 minutes”

15 minutes later Dani looked at me

“ Check it” she nodded in the direction of the stick. I took three steps closer to the test and bent my head over it to see the results, there was no way in hell I was going to touch it.

“ Dani.. It says you are” I looked at her panicked face

“ Okay well you said yourself we should do more than one test right?” she eyed El and I both, I nodded slowly.

25 minutes later Dani had to pee again she sat down and went on the stick for the second time, again she put it on the counter, 15 minutes later she looked at me and I looked at the test.

“ It says yes again” I bent my head down to the floor as El slid down the wall and brought her knees up to her chin

“ Lets do an other one” Dani picked up the purple packaged ones.

“ Dani sweetie you’ve done 22 tests and they all say yes..” El put her hand on Dani shoulder

“ We’ve been in here for 2 hours its almost 3 in the morning” El motioned her to leave the bathroom. I was almost passed out on the floor.

“ I’m pregnant” Dani whispered to herself and fell to the floor crying

“ Its going to be okay” I crawled over to her and she sat her head in my lap, her tears were making my jeans wet.

“ Come on, lets go to bed” I got up and helped Dani to her feet, she couldn’t stop crying and was almost unable to walk on her own. I saw El wrap toilet paper around her hand and place each test back into the plastic pharmacy bag and then follow us out of the bathroom.

“ Do you want to sleep in Liam’s room?” El asked her as we walked down the hall, Dani flashed El a what- the- fuck -do –you- think look and we opened Liam’s door. It was empty which told us the boys weren’t in bed yet. We sat her down on the bed and both kissed her forehead.

“ I just want to be alone” She said while crashing her head into the pillow and letting her sobs out, El placed the pregnancy tests on the night stand and we left the room.

“ I’m going to bed, can you tell Louis to come to bed as well?” El asked me before turning into Louis room, I gave her a quick nod and headed towards the living room.

I walked in to see Zayn and Liam playing Xbox while the others watched. Harry saw me and followed me with his eyes as I walked around the couch and stepped over Niall towards him. I sat on his lap.

“ Please don’t be mad at me baby” I spoke softly into his chest. He looked down at me and I placed my hand on his cheek. He wrapped his arm around my back and leaned forward to press a kiss on my lips, I felt the heat grow larger between us as he slipped his tongue inside my mouth. I moved my lips in sync with his.

“ Not wanting to see this make out session,” Liam said before getting up and leaving the room

“ Me two” Zayn got up and left

“ Me three” Niall walked into the kitchen

“ I’m going to go find Eleanor” Louis got off the couch

“ Oh, she’s in bed waiting for you” I broke the kiss with Harry

“ She better be after the stunt she pulled today” He said while grinning at Harry

After they all had left it was just Harry and I, he picked me up bridal style and led me towards his room.

“ Want to go to bed?” He asked as he noticed me falling asleep in his arms

“ Mhhmm” I said without opening my eyes, cuddling into his neck. I heard him chuckle
