Monsters Aren't Born, They Are Made....

Chapter Three

The next day we were at the police station.

My mum and dad were talking to some officers or more like having an argument with them "What do you mean you can't start a search yet? Our daughter-"

"Sorry Mam but you don't understand, many teenagers just go missing but it doesn't mean anything terrible happened to them, You can wait for one more day can't you? If your daughter doesn't turn up then we will start to search for her"

"No! Its you who doesn't understand..."

I sat on a chair outside the office my mum and dad were in. My head in my hands, an empty feeling inside my stomach.

Was this what everyone else who had their sister taken away from them felt like? We used to joke about it sometimes, my sister and me like "I wish you weren't my brother/sister" and now it had actually happened..

"What are you doing?" A voice suddenly hissed from behind a corner, I jumped slightly then relaxed as the guy defiantly wasn't talking to me that however was over when a familiar womens voice answered "I couldn't just leave them, what your asking me to do is impossible!"

"Your putting them all in danger!"

Was that? It couldn't be... I whispered softly slowly getting up "Gemma?"

There was a gasp from behind the corner of the wall where the guy had been talking, my eyes widened as I hurried over to where the voice was as soon as I turned the corner, all I saw was the door to the main police building closing.

Without thinking I ran towards the door and swung it open, my heart pounding in my chest. I caught the sight of brown hair go into another policemen's office, I followed.

Swinging the door open, where the lock seemed to have been broken I ran over to an open window and in the distance spotted two people running away from the building.

"Gemma!!!" I yelled and to my relief they stopped running, the women turned round and I let out a gasp...Gemma, it really was Gemma.

She seemed to shake her head at me before she started running again with the guy. But I wasn't letting her get away from me that easily. I didn't think about my worried parents once they figured out there son was missing to or the office as I stepped on the table near the window, scattering papers everywhere then jumped through the window.

I let out a groan of pain as I slipped and landed on my backside, dam it! Not doing that again. Desperately I stumbled upwards and yelled across the field that surrounded the police station "Gemma! Gemma!" I screamed but there was no reply.

She seemed to have dissapiered but I wasn't giving up, I had to find my sister! I had to! what if she needed me? What if she was in trouble?

With that thought I started to run where I had last seen her, at the other end of the field near the abandoned train tunnel, that my mother had told me they had started building it 30 years ago but never finished it once it became clear the train was going through a different part of the city.

I got to the abandoned Tunnel panting, where was she?

I looked around but all I could see was the dark and the bricks of the tunnel.

Nothing, just silence…

Then…

“Harry” A quite voice murmured behind me.

I spun around so fast I almost fell over my own feet.

“Gemma?”

She looked completely different from when I’d last seen her...
