I'm Birdie

"I gave you away because I was having a terrible time with your father. He made me get a divorce. Since he was the one paying the bills I didn't have enough money to support both of us yet alone myself. I took you to an orphanage. I hated leaving you but I knew it was for the best. I was homeless for a couple of months before I got a job and bought an apartment. I really love you though and even though I haven't been in your life long I love you." She started crying

I stood up and walked over to her side of the booth. I pulled her in for a hug and tried to sooth you.

"I really love you Birdie. You are so beautiful and I wish I didn't have to give you away. I wanted you to be happy and be surrounded around people that love you." She sobbed

"Mum. I am happy and I am surrounded by people that love me and one of them is you. I love you too." I smiled

She looked at me and she kissed my forehead. Suddenly I felt the last piece of my heart fall perfectly into place. I felt so happy. I felt loved. I felt complete. Ingrid was the only thing I was missing.

She reached behind her neck and put something into her hand. She gave it to me. I opened my hand and saw a beautiful silver heart shaped locket. I opened it and saw a photo of a little girl. She looked so much like me.

"That's you. I put that in there because I had hope. Hope that I would one day see you again." She smiled

"It's beautiful." I smiled back

I put it on adm looked at the picture again. I shut it and finished my coffee. When we both were done we payed and walked out. We went for a walk to the park. I told her about how I met Louis from One Direction at UNI which was before he left because he was way way way to busy. I told her about how I'm in love with someone known worldwide. I told her pretty much my life.

"I have a pretty cool Mum too. She's so beautiful, down to earth and loving. I really liked meeting her again.'' I smiled

"I have a beautiful daughter. She's accomplished so much and she has come so far. She's found love and has found some amazing friends." She laughed

"Thanks Mum. I love you." I giggled hugging her

She gently stroked my hair. It felt so nice.

"I love you too little one." She said letting go

We walked to Harry's house. When we arrived I raced to the door. I opened it and saw Harry standing in the hallway smiling. I ran to him and hugged him so tightly. I'm pretty sure he couldn't breath.

"You were right Harry. Thank you for making me go." I whispered

"Are you going to introduce me?" He whispered back

"Oh right. Mum this is Harry my boyfriend, Harry this is Ingrid my Mum.'' I smiled

HARRY'S P.O.V

Birdie ran upstairs and I showed Ingrid the living room. We sat down and we talked.

"Ingrid, I really love your daughter and I was wondering if you'd be ok with me asking her to marry me?" I smiled nervously

"Harry, I know you love her and I know she loves you. I'm perfectly fine with you asking her. You are a very good young man you know?" She smiled

"Thank you." I smiled

Just as I said that Birdie came in smiling. Oh god I hope she didn't hear!

Once Ingrid left we sat in the living room snuggling eachother. Birdie was telling me about how it was. She said that she had the best day. She seemed so happy which makes me happy. When shes ok I'm perfectly fine. I really love her.
