Reality Ruined My Life

*Louis` POV*
I feel really bad saying it, but I liked going faster on the jet ski so that Calla tightened her arms around my chest. She was just so small and frail, and I felt good that she felt safe with me. We stayed out in the water on the jet skis for at least three hours, because by the time we headed back to the shore, the sun was setting.
"Bonfire time!" Zayn and Liam sang as we walked back to our cabin. They went to our fire pit and brought some logs over while Calla and Alli arranged seven chairs around the pit in a circle.
"We`ll go get some s`mores stuff," I said, nodding at Calla. She smiled and followed me into the cabin. "The graham crackers are in the pantry, along with the marshmallows," I told her, pointing to the pantry. She nodded and opened it, digging around for the ingredients. I snatched two packages of chocolate bars from the fridge and turned around to see her frowning over two packages of graham crackers.
"Honey or cinnamon graham crackers?" She asked, a cute confused expression on her face. Don`t ask me why I did what I did next. I took one big stride forward, trapping her between me and the wall. Then, gently, I kissed her. It was amazing, just like I thought it would be. She didn`t push me away, but she didn`t pull me in either. I think she was in shock. I stepped back and ran my hand through my hair.
"I`m sorry, I shouldn`t have done that, you just looked so adorable..." I trailed off, not making eye contact with her. She only smiled.
"It`s okay, Louis. Really. Now, let`s get back to the fire, okay?" She asked, holding the marshmallows and graham crackers. I nodded, grabbed the chocolate, and led her out of the cabin and back to the fire pit.
"What took so long?" Alli snapped, sitting next to Calla.
"We couldn`t find the marshmallows," Calla lied smoothly, tucking her legs under her in her chair.
Alli`s eyes narrowed as she observed Calla for a moment. Then her gaze darted over to me and I smiled. Her eyes narrowed to even smaller slits and then she stuffed a marshmallow in her mouth.
*Cameron`s POV*
"Cameron!" My mom yelled up the stairs.
"Coming, mom!" I replied and went downstairs.
"I have news!" Mom chirped when I got to the kitchen, where I found her flipping pancakes. "Brenda and Frank have invited us out to their beach home for the summer! They said they have room in their guest house and would love to have us!" She squealed, flipping some pancakes onto a plate and sliding it over to me.
"Really? That`s awesome! When do we leave?" I exclaimed, stuffing a pancake into my mouth.
"Tomorrow morning. You should go pack when you`re done eating," She said, gesturing with her spatula to my plate of pancakes.
I ate my pancakes as fast as humanly possible and then sprinted upstairs to pack. I quickly threw clothes, swim trunks, and other necessities into my bag. Then I grabbed my phone and texted Calla.
So excited to see you and Alli soon! - Cam
I hit send and smiled widely. Tomorrow was going to be awesome.
*Calla`s POV*
I quietly unlocked my phone as I heard it chirp and I read the text from Cam. My nose crinkled up into a frown. He probably means at the end of the summer.

Then I locked my phone and slipped it back into my jean shorts pocket.
"Who was that, Calla?" Zayn asked, peering at me from across the fire.
I flicked my wrist. "Just a friend from back home." I replied. Alli frowned slightly and mouthed 'Cam?' at me and I nodded discreetly.
"Pass the marshmallows!" Niall bellowed, sitting up in his chair and prepping graham crackers and chocolate for what would be his fifth s`more tonight. Alli then tossed the bag of marshmallows at him.
"Niall, you`re gonna be sick, and I`m not going to clean it up!" Louis exclaimed, snatching the airborne bag of marshmallows that Alli just tossed. Then I grabbed the bag from Louis and ate a marshmallow.
"Niall, you`re missing out. These marshmallows are so good!" I taunted.
Before I knew what happened, I was pinned to the sand and Niall was sitting on me, tickling me. "Give them to me!" He screeched, grabbing for the bag. I tried to reply, but I was laughing so hard from Niall tickling me that I could barely breathe.
"Niall...get off!" I managed to squeak in between laughs.
Louis suddenly appeared over Niall`s shoulder and shoved him off of me. "She said get off, Niall." He growled, helping me up.
Niall`s eyes widened. "Calm down, Lou. I was just playing," He mumbled while stuffing a marshmallow into his mouth.
"Louis, I`m fine," I assured Louis as he searched me up and down for any injuries, his blue eyes full of concern.
"Are you sure?" He said softly, pressing his forehead to mine. I nodded, unable to speak as he was so close to me and everyone`s eyes were on us.
Alli coughed loudly, glaring at Louis. I have a slight feeling that Alli doesn`t like Louis.
