Reality Ruined My Life

*Cameron`s POV*
"Bright skies with no clouds all through the area today. Temperatures should be getting up to nearly 90 degrees today! If you plan on spending your day outside, remember to wear sunscreen!" A woman with an annoyingly high-pitched voice yelled out of my television. I rolled over and blindly groped my nightstand, trying to find the remote. Once I found it, I pressed mute and let out a sigh. I grabbed my phone, unlocked the screen, and found two new messages from Calla. I smiled as I saw the picture of her and Alli tanning in the sun. This summer was going to be so boring without those two. Mostly Calla. I already miss her like crazy. She`s been my best friend since third grade, but that`s all we`ve ever been. Just friends. What if I want it to be more than that? Whatever, it will never happen. She`ll never like me like that.
The time on the clock showed that it was 10:23 am. Heaving another sigh, I rolled out of bed and took a shower. When I was finished, I went back to my bedroom, got dressed in a t-shirt and shorts, and texted Calla.
How`s it going in Cali? Missing you guys here ): -Cam
I pressed send and got a reply almost instantly.
It`s great! We miss you too Cam! But Calla misses you more ;) -Alli
My smile widened and I set my phone down, thinking about Calla. This was the first time I wish summer would go faster.
*Alli`s POV*
"Louis, put me down!" Calla yelled, pounding Louis` back with her tiny fists as Louis carried her around over his shoulder. I smirked and grabbed Calla`s phone and opened her text from Cameron.
"Hey Cal, Cam texted," I singsonged, waving her iPhone around in the air.
Louis turned around and set Calla down, a confused look on his face. "Who`s Cam?" He asked.
Calla came over to her chair, snatched up her phone, and scrolled through the messages with Cam. "He`s our friend back home," She explained briefly, texting him back.
Sorry, Alli took my phone. Talk to you later (: -Cal
Niall nudged Calla. "Riiiight, friend," He smirked. Louis glared at him and he raised his hands in surrender.
Calla set her phone back on her chair, covering it with a towel. "He just wanted to say hi," She shrugged it off.
"Let`s go get smoothies, on me!" I smiled, trying to change the subject. All the boys nodded energetically.
"I`ll beat you all there!" Liam cried out, sprinting away.
"No you won`t!" Zayn screamed, chasing him and leaving Calla, Louis, Harry, Niall and I in their dust.
"Okay then," Louis said, throwing his arms around mine and Calla`s shoulders. "Let`s go!"
