Forgotten
Chapter 8
Kiran's POV
"Y-you do-don't remember m-me?" a girl with brown curly hair asked.
"No, should I?" I asked. Uh... what was my name again... oh yeah! Kiran! Kiran...Kiran...What was my last name? I should have one right?
"Kiran, are you okay?" A girl with blonde hair and big blue eyes asked.
"What's my full name?" I asked the girl.
"Uh..." The girl answered.
I then noticed the girls and boys tear stained faces, "Why were you crying?"
"You we're in a coma," This time a girl with wavy brown answered.
"What's a coma?" I mostly asked myself.
"Is she awake?" A lady wearing a nurse's uniform came in and by now I was just confused but decided to go with the flow—whatever that meant.
"Yes, but she seems to have lost her memory," the girl with curly hair spoke her voice cracking.
"Um... Can I ask where Eve is?" When the girls heard my question they broke down sobbing and the boys had to pick them up—all except for one that is, the one with the curly hair and green eyes.
"Okay I'm sorry but you must go into the hall for a few minutes," The nurse said to the boys and girls. "Okay sweetheart," she said facing me, "My name's Nataline Keepper and I'm your nurse. So what's you name?"
"Kiran," I answered quickly.
"Last name?"
"I don't know," I whispered softly.
"What year is it?"
"2002."
"Okay, that's it for now," she said leaving the room.
Dani's POV
"It's okay, it's okay," Liam was whispering calmingly in my ear.
"I'm afraid that you were right and Kiran has suffered memory loss. She does not remember her last name," She never knew it so thats not that bad, "And she also thinks it's 2002." Oh no, thats the year Eve died. She thinks she's alive.
"Excuse me may I speak to you in private?" I asked the nurse.
"Of course you can," she answered and walked further down the hallway. I quickly followed her.
"I have some good new and some bad news," I said. "The good news is Kiran's last name was kept secret from her so she's not supposed to know what it is and the bad news is that 2002 and was the year Eve, her sister died. So right now Kiran thinks Eve is still alive."
"Then she must not find out until she is in a stable condition and how did Eve die?" she asked concern flowing in her voice.
"Murder," I whispered. The nurse's hand flew to her mouth and she stood there shocked.
"I will release Kiran tomorrow because only she can recover her memory but it has to be by will and hearing this I'm not sure if she'll want to recover. I’m very sorry, Miss. Peazer.”
I ran back to the group and fell in a heap to the floor sobbing and somehow managed to say in between heaps, “She—she —might not recover—cause of—of Eve."
