"Oye, mate. You look like you've just got kicked out of the band." Zayn said, as I got in. I looked at him. "They didn't."
"Not yet. They said if I don't get my act together, then I'm out." Zayn punched the wheel, accidentally hitting the horn. People turned their heads. He muttered something, then drove off. "What did they mean 'get your act together'?" He asked. "Someone got pictures of me going nuts in the kitchen yesterday. I have a week to figure out how to move on with my life. And hope the pictures don't get released." Zayn punched the wheel again this time missing the horn. Tears formed in my eyes.
"I swear, if they kick you out. I'm leaving." I looked out the window. He turned on the radio. I wish he hadn't.
"Recently released. Pictures of Niall in his house throwing things against the wall have been released to the public. Experts believe it is due to the recent death of Meliday Flynne, his girlfriend at the time-" Zayn quickly turned it off. I held my breath. Then, Zayn's phone rang. He picked it up.
"What?...sorry....yes....here." He handed me the phone. "Its management." My face went white. But I slowly took it. Zayn kept hitting the wheel.
"Niall?" He asked.
"Y-y-yeah?" I managed to say.
"The pictures have been released." He said.
"I know." I said.
"If you can fix this, you can stay. But, if you can't..."
"I know. I will." The end of dial tone rang through the phone. I sat there for a moment, tears streaming down my face. "H-here." I handed him his phone. He took it and slammed it down.
"They better not have-" I shook my head.
"No. But now I have to fix this." He pressed on the gas pedal. Which sent us speeding down the interstate. He slowed down. He found his phone, and started dialing.
"Hey Liam...yeah....with me....not yet....a week...I know....mhm....no....I'll try not to....let the guys know....see ya." He hung up. And we were silent the rest of the way.

(Next Day)

I walked down the street. This was the first time in a long time that no one was screaming my name, or chasing me down the street. Instead, I was ignored. Paul and a couple other security guys were with me. The others were behind me.
"You boys hungry?" Paul asked. I nodded. The others agreed. We walked into a pizza parlor. I sat in a booth. The others joined. We ordered a pepperoni pizza. A couple of girls walked up to us.
"Can we have your autograph?" The older one asked.
"Sure." I said, grabbing my pen. We all signed it, they smiled. Then ran back to their parents. I smiled. "Forgot how much I missed the fans."
"Yeah." Harry said. We all ate the pizza in silence.
"Guys, what are gonna do?" I asked, throwing the pizza on my plate. They looked at their plates.
"I don't know, mate." Louis said.
"What if...what if I can't fix this?" I said.
"You will." Zayn finally said. He's been pretty quiet for a few days now. "I have an idea. But, your not gonna like it."
"I won't like not being part of One Direction, either. So, just tell me."
"You need to find someone new." My stomach twisted. I nodded. And poked at my pizza. "It'll make people think you've moved on. They'll forget about the pictures. I know its not going to be easy. But, its our only chance." I nodded.
"Let's do it." I said, looking at them. I grabbed my pizza, and started eating. I saw Meliday standing next to us, smiling. The guys looked behind me. Liam started shivering.
"Why did it just now get cold." Meliday rolled her eyes. And slapped him. But not enough to hurt him. "Did anyone else feel a really cold breeze hit their face?" I just started laughing. They all stared.
"Niall...are you laughing?" Paul asked. I started laughing more once I realized I was laughing. Everyone got their phones out, and recorded it.
"Niall can laugh!" Harry yelled. Soon, everyone was laughing. I looked at Meliday. She smiled. And then a bright light showed. She walked towards it. Snow fell around her. And I remember how she loved the snow. She started spinning around. She looked at me.
"Goodbye." I whispered. She smiled, and whispered thank-you. And she was gone. I kept smiling. The guys looked at me. But instead of questioning, they smiled.
"Hey, can we get two more pizzas over here?" I called.
"Yep!" The chef yelled back. I stood on my seat. And grabbed a spoon and my glass. I clinked the spoon on my glass. Everyone stared.
"Can you record this?" I asked the guys. They got their phones out. "I know most of you have recently noticed my...inappropriate behavior lately.." Hey! I used a big word! "And I want to apologize to all my fans for my behavior. So, I am having a competition. I am offering a chance for all girls for a chance to go on date with me." The girls in the room cheered. "All you have to do is share the awesome news on Twitter. Let them know, I have finally moved on!" I yelled. People yelled, and got their phones out.
"Posted." Harry said. The others nodded. Liam handed me my phone. I got on Twitter. The video was viral.
"Wow, that was quick." I said. My phone rang. I sighed. "Yes?" I asked.
"You fixed it?" He asked.
"Uh-huh. Finally realized I won't get better if I don't let go." The boys smiled.
"The pictures were forgotten. Everyone is going nuts about the new contest. Great thinking." I put it on speaker phone.
"So, can I stay in the band?" I asked, everyone looked at the phone. He was quiet.
"Yes, Niall. You can stay in the band." Everyone cheered. Our pizza was delivered. And we ate, happily.
"So, what are you gonna do now?" Louis asked. I thought about it.
"I think I'm gonna adopt Midnight." They looked at me, curious. "She saved my life. I owe her at least that." They smiled.
"That sounds like a great idea." Zayn said.
