*Harry's POV*
I couldn't wait for tonight. Addi's friends and I had been planning this for a few days. We knew that she needed a little pick me up and this seemed like it would do the trick. We hopped out of the car greeted by the brisk wind. We started running, trying to avoid the next big gust of wind. I pulled the door open and she ran through it and I soon followed.

We turned the corner and she smiled when she saw them sitting at a table near our lane. They turned around when they heard Addi squeal and they all joined together in a group huddle. I grinned as I looked at them try to catch up on the last few weeks. I took my phone out of my pocket realizing that this could take a few minutes. Suddenly the chatter stopped and I looked up to see all three girls looking at me.

“What are you waiting for Styles, your one of us now.” Layne said winking. I shrugged and ran over to them and joined in the group hug. Moments later we began our game. Mackenzie was up first. She had chosen a bright purple ball that was probably a little bit to big for her. She dragged it to the lane and slid it across the floor. It started straight and then quickly turned right into the gutter. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Addi sitting on the bench a few feet away from me. She had her phone in her hand and was scrolling through it, a dazed looked on her face.

“Ah-hem. Adds you ok?” I questioned sliding closer to her. She didn't respond at first so I lightly shoved her knee with my hand. She turned her head and looked up at me. Her eyes twinkled and she had a huge grin on her face.

“Tricked you! Yeah, i'm good. Thanks again for making me come. It's definitely worth it.” I playfully pushed her away and went back to my seat.

After two or three frames we all decided we were sick of bowling. We needed a little break. None of us were very good, or competitive for that matter. We decided that we would head over to Addi's to watch a movie. I offered to drive and we all piled into my car.

Layne sat in the passenger seat and Mackenzie and Addi took the back. Layne reached across the dash and turned the music and we all sang along. We danced, laughed, and goofed of until the car pulled to a stop in Addi's driveway. I looked in my rearview to see Addi smiling and laughing with Mackenzie. I'd say that tonight was pretty successful so far.

*Addison's POV*
After deciding to watch Paranormal Activity (I had lost the vote) we all squeezed onto the 3-person-couch that was directly across from the t.v. I sat next to Harry right up against the armrest. I hid behind my knees as the movie started not quite sure what to expect. Harry put his hand on my knee and squeezed it forcing me to open my eyes. I squinted at him and I saw him giggle. Throughout the movie Layne, Mackenzie and I kept moving closer into the middle. By the time the movie was done the three of us were almost completely hidden behind Harry's shoulders. As the credits rolled there was a unanimous sigh. WE all erupted into laughter.

“Why did we even watch this if all of us were going to be freaking out?” questioned Layne.

“My point exactly,” I replied as I hopped out of my seat. “I'll go grab us some food.”

After making some chips and cheese I balanced the trays as I navigated towards the living room. I turned the corner to see all three of them sprawled across the couch sleeping. It was only 10:30, what had gotten into them? I chuckled setting the plates down. I figured that Mackenzie and Layne could just spend the night but I couldn't let Harry stay. The boys would freak out if they ever found out. I walked around to the front of the couch and lightly shook Harry. He didn't budge.

“Harry, wake up. Harry!” He squinted and his big green eyes opened looking straight into mine. “You've got to go. You can't stay tonight, sorry!” He nodded and slowly got up from the couch. I put my arm around him and showed him to the front door. “I just wanted to say thanks. This really means a lot. Things are getting better and you're a big part of that.” I smiled.

He looked at me and pulled me into a hug. It felt warm. I could feel his hand resting on my back, making a swirling design across it. He cupped my head in his hands. They were rough and strong against my soft cheeks. “I'm glad Addie.” He let go, tracing his finger across my cheek as he turned. I watched as he walked back to his car. Layne and Mackenzie were right; he was a really great guy.

CHAPTER 11-

*Addison's POV*
It was now mid-November. The air got colder and the leaves were beginning to change. It had been almost 7 months since my mom passed. We were 2 months into the school year. Things kept moving on, and so were we. By now we had learned to cope without my dad. He didn't come home drunk as often but he still went straight to his office, rarely even speaking to us anymore. I hadn't had a real conversation with him in months but it didn't bother me as much anymore.

Harry, Mackenzie, Layne and I hung out a lot more now and we were all really close. If we all couldn't hang out I would just hang out with a few of them. Today, Harry and I decided that we were going to take Evelyn mini-golfing. We had done it several other times and thought we should get in one last round before it closed up for the winter. He was already at our house before I had even gotten ready so he and Evelyn were hanging out downstairs as I finished up.

I pulled my hair to the side of my head and braided it quickly. I grabbed a pair of dark skinny jeans and slipped them on, pulling on a striped v-neck and my rain jacket as I ran out the door.

“I'm ready!” I called as I walked down the stairs. They weren't in the living room. I looked towards the front door and saw that it was open. Harry was sitting next to Evelyn on the front steps. She looked at him, laughing as he was moving all around trying to act something out. After several moments of watching I realized he was pretending to be me getting ready. His dark brown curls fell into his face as he began to “apply mascara.”

“Hey um, hate to break it to you. But I didn't do that much primping and priming for you two.” I said, winking at Harry. I walked over to him, wrapping my arms around his broad shoulders, messing up his hair with my hand. I looked down at him and he was smiling, his dimples more obvious than ever. We all stood up and hopped into Harry's truck and headed to go play mini golf.

*Harry's POV*
These last few months have been a lot of fun. I have gotten to know a lot of new people and really gotten close with Addison and her family. My mom has become obsessed with not only Ads but also her family. She will not stop reminding me to invite them for dinner sometime. I drive, completely absorbed in my thoughts when I see a hand wave in front of my face.

“Um, hello there. Harry you just missed the turn.” I look to my right to see Addison giving me a stink eye. I did it back and she erupted into laughter, Evelyn soon joining in. Addison's dark hair blew lightly across her face. Her freckles crinkled as she bent over in laughter. She pulled her self together and caught be staring.

“Harry, pull yourself together, you a mess today.” she smirked. I winked and continued driving until we made it to the mini golf place.

I hopped out dragging Evelyn over my shoulder and started chasing Addison. At this pace we would never get done with our game.

*Addison's POV*
We had just made it home from mini golfing and ice cream. Evelyn was exhausted and fell asleep in the car. Harry offered to bring her up well I popped us some popcorn. Soon enough I heard the stairs creek as Harry tiptoed down them. He looked like an idiot, he was like an elephant trying to be as quiet as a mouse. He pulled the bar stool out and plopped down.

“So Adds, hows it going?” he asked, pulling out his phone.

“Good, did she wake up at all?” I asked. I poured the popcorn into the bowls and slid one across the table towards him.

“Yeah. Hey! My mom just texted me and asked if you guys wanted to come for pizza tomorrow night? She has been dying to meet your family, as you know she's a little obsessed with you.” he said enthusiastically.

My stomach dropped. Did that mean she wanted to meet my dad to. I hadn't actually said a word to him in weeks. He was becoming an absentee. Harry instantly realized my change in mood. He pulled his chair back and walked towards me. He lifted my chin up to look at him. He gave me a pained smile.

“Your dad doesn't need to come if you don't want. It could just be your brothers, you, and Evelyn if you want. I didn't mean for it to upset you I just didn't want to assume he wouldn't come.” he replied looking down at his feet.

A single tear fell down my cheek but I wiped it away before he noticed. “No! I'll ask. But we will definitely be coming.”

We smiled and he kissed my temple. “Okay good, well, I better go. Are you going to be okay? You said the boys will be home soon?”

“Yeah. I'll be fine. See you tomorrow Harry.” I said, smiling.

He turned around and walked to the front door. His arms swayed as he walked, his hair moving along with his body. As the door closed I headed up stairs to get my rest for the night.
