Haunted By Love

Liam was leaned against the door frame of my bedroom. We stared at each other, none of us talking. I walked to by drawer and searched for something to wear. When Liam realised I was ignoring him, he sighed and he was the one to break the silence.

‘’I’m sorry. I just… panicked. You seemed so scared when there was nothing in the basement, just like you saw a ghost or something.’’

‘’Maybe I did.’’

‘’Listen, Enda: this ‘I can communicate with the other side’ thing is frightening the hell out of me. You’re my sister-‘’

‘’Your freak sister.’’ I corrected him.

‘’Enda, for God’s sake! Put yourself at my place! I don’t know how to deal with your… ability! It’s… not normal!’’

‘’You think I don’t know that? That I’m not normal? Of course I am not! And it’s been that way for two years! You didn’t figure that yet?’’ I yelled.

‘’How could I know you’re telling the truth? I have no proof, so it’s kind of hard to believe you!’’

He was right, though. I could I prove myself to him?

‘’I’ve got an idea.’’ I said.

I closed my eyes and tried to concentrate my mind on Niall’s aura. Just when I started, I felt his aura just next to me. To not freak more my brother, I connected my soul with Niall’s.

‘’I have a favor to ask you. Just do what I say, okay?’’ I said telepathically.

‘’Alright.’’

‘’Concentrate on this room. You feel everything: the ground, the walls, the ceiling, and the air. You are truly here. When you are ready, say ‘I’m here’.’’ I instructed.

‘’Enda, what is your idea?’’ Liam asked, clearly impatient I was silent for a moment. I gestured him to wait.

‘’I’m here.’’ Niall said in my mind.

Just like with Savannah yesterday, I felt his voice entered me, going through all of my body. Finally, my brother will believe me. Finally. I smiled at Liam.

‘’What?’’

‘’Don’t you see him?’’ I gestured Niall.

He looked where I pointed and frowned.

‘’See who?’’

It did not work. Why it did not work? Liam sighed.

‘’Wait! It-it worked yesterday!’’ I reconnected with Niall’s mind. ‘’Said it another time.’’

‘’He won’t be able to-‘’

‘’Just do what I say!’’

He sighed mentally and did what I asked another time. Liam was still not convinced. What is happening? It worked the other day with Zayn! Zayn saw the little girl! Why can’t Liam see Niall?

‘’Enda, stop. You’re just making things even worst. Just. Stop.’’ Liam cut me from my worries. Soon, he was the one fighting with his thoughts.

‘’Just… I never saw you terrorised in the basement. And you never tried to do whatever you tried now. Nothing ever happened, okay?’’ He finally spoke and left.

He’s moving on? This quickly, with no explanation from me? Or he’s just giving up, like he always did. No, something is wrong with him. But maybe I should play is game too, like nothing happened yesterday.

I closed my door to make sure Liam or Granny wouldn’t hear me speaking, well… alone.

‘’I don’t understand. It worked perfectly the other day.’’ I said, scratching my forehead.

Niall didn’t spoke a word. When I looked at him, he avoided my eyes. Okay, he definitely knew why it wasn’t working.

‘’Since I’ve met you, you’re always like you’re hiding something. If you want me to send you to Raj, it’s not going to happened if you continued acting like that.’’

He sighed. He ran his hands through his hair and rested on top of his head. I crossed my arms and waited. I’m not leaving this room until I’ve squeeze some words out of his mouth.

‘’I’m not what you think.’’ He started. Suddenly, he shut his eyes furiously, just like he was in pain. ‘’I-I have this voi-‘’

Niall was interrupted by his on scream. What the hell is going on?

Oh no guys! I completely forgot I had to post another chapter yesterday xD so I'll post 2 for tonight :)
When I woke up today, my head was full of idea and twisted events for this fic! So I'm really inspired right now! :D
