I'll Look After You

Movie Night with the Tommo

I reply back to Louis and tell him I would be waiting here for him. After I send the message, I go back to the Twitter app so I could browse some more. After I typed in my login stuff, I noticed I had a notification thing. I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw the tweet that Danielle had posted and tagged me in.

So, @Julia_loveee and I finally got Abby to join Twitter! Follow her @Abbydarlingxo love you best friend (:

A bunch of notifications were flooding in from a bunch of people who decided to follow me. Aside from Dani, each of the five boys, Julia, Perrie and Haley, were following me now. I noticed I even got a follow from Isabelle. Wow!

“You’re too funny, Dani! But I love you too!” I tell her with a slight laugh.

For the next few minutes, I begin to find some more people to follow. I am so lost in my phone; I hardly hear the front door open and slam shut seconds later. Next thing I know, I’m being attacked by someone tickling my sides harshly and I hear a snicker, immediately knowing who it was. Louis. I laugh and try to push him off me but he doesn’t budge.

“Louis stop, p-please!” I laugh trying to catch my breath.

“Not gonna happen! You’re comin’ with me so we can start our movie night,” he comes around the couch so he was standing a few feet away from me, a wide smile across his face.

I let out a laugh as he pulls me up from my spot on the couch and drags me toward the door by my hand. I barely have enough time to grab my purse and put it over my shoulder and tell Dani I’ll see her later and for her to tell Julia I’ll see her soon before Louis pulls me out the door. I didn’t even manage to grab any of my bags from shopping with the girls earlier. Dani calls out that she will and for me to have fun.

“That was kind of rude, Lou, was trying to talk to Dani when you pull me out the door,” I tell him and pout, crossing my arms over my chest acting like I was mad at him as I followed him down the hallway to the door of his flat.

He smiles a bit as he looks at me. “Sorry, I just wanted to spend time with you, Abs,” he tells me as we come up to the door of his flat. He pulls a key out and slips it in the key hole to unlock the door. The door opens and he pulls me inside behind him. “And I saw you’re now on Twitter, thanks to Dani, knew you’d make one sooner than later,” he tells me with a smile as he holds the door open for me.

“Me too,” I tell him with a smile as I walk inside his flat. He leads me into the living room. “I didn’t want to but I did anyway, might as well use it sometime…” I mumble.

“What do you want to watch, Abby?” he asks as he walks over to a cabinet where he kept a bunch of movies.

I follow him over there and stand beside him. For the next few minutes, we look through the tons of movies in the cabinet. There were endless amounts of all kind of movies you could think of; all the way from non-stop action to drama. For the next few minutes, we continue to look through movies. Louis picks out one for us to watch and I decide to pick one, too.

He ends up picking out ‘Grown Ups’ while I decide on ‘Titanic’, which was my favorite movie. I was surprised when Louis didn’t question why I picked it. Ever since I can remember, I’ve always loved that movie, Titanic. It’s been my favorite ever since I first saw it when I was only 13 years old, along with ‘The Notebook’.

It made me happy that he didn’t question it. He’s probably seen it before or something, seeing as he has four younger half sisters. Louis grabs both of the movies in one of his hands before taking my hand in his vacant one. I feel a blush creep up on my cheeks as I look up at him and follow him back to the living room.

“Which one you want to watch first?” Louis asks with a small smile on his face. I shrug my shoulders and smile a bit as we stand there.

“Doesn’t matter to me, Lou,” I tell him with a laugh, “Go put one in and start it,” I tell him and push him slightly toward the television and DVD player so he could put it in. He lets out a chuckle as he goes over to the player, one of the movies in his hand. I go over and take a seat on his comfortable leather couch while he puts the movie in.

After he puts the movie in, he takes a seat beside me on the couch, a smile on his lips. He reaches over and grabs the remote for the TV and the other one for the DVD/Blu-ray player. “Hope you don’t mind if I put ‘Grown Ups’ in first, babe,” he tells me with a smile as he looks over at me. I shake my head and smile a bit, telling him I didn’t mind.

The movie soon starts and I kick my TOMS off my feet, letting them drop to the floor, as I rest my feet on the coffee table in front of us while I watch the movie. As we watched the movie, we crack up at all the stupidly hilarious parts. Every so often, Louis would lean over and whisper some stupid remark in my ear he apparently thought was hilarious. I shake my head at him and pinch him on the side to get his focus back on the movie as well as mine.

We laugh at all of the funny scenes and try to get back into it when it got more serious. It was kind of hard considering it was a comedy about long-time friends who come together again and a bunch of random shit happens to them all and their families. We soon come to the end of the movie.

“Want to make some popcorn before we start the next movie?” Louis asks and looks over at me as the end credits continue to play.

“Sure,” I tell him and begin to stand up from my spot on the couch. Just as I was about to stand up, I am pushed back down on the couch.

“No need to get up, love, I’ll go fix it,” Louis tells me, a smile on his face.

“But I wanted to,” I reply and stand up, shaking my head, the small hint of a smile on my face. “I was going to make some,” I finish as I look at the brown haired boy who stood beside me.

“Can’t we go get some together?” I ask and laugh when I realize how that sounded once it slipped from my mouth.

Louis smiled at my comment and let a laugh from his mouth as he continued to stare at me. He soon opens his mouth to reply, “Never expected something like that to come from your mouth, babe,” he replies with a smirk.

“I didn’t mean it like that, Louie! Don’t take everything so seriously,” I tell him with a smile and push him in the arm.

“Sure, Abby, sure you didn’t, you’re just sayin’ that, love,” he tells me and reaches over to push me in the arm softly. “And no I don’t, you take things more seriously, babe, don’t believe everything you hear,” he jokes before heading for the kitchen from the medium sized living room space.

“Whatever,” I mumble and plop back down in my original spot on the couch.

I cross my arms over my chest and pout a bit, shifting my gaze away from his, pretending I was “mad” at him. A few minutes go by and I glance toward the doorway that led to the kitchen. He wasn’t standing there, must’ve been in the kitchen. I could hear the slamming of a few cabinets and I couldn’t help but laugh a bit. I get up so I could put the movie I picked in the DVD player – Titanic. After doing so, I go and take my seat back on the couch.

I hear the shuffling of something, most likely a bag of popcorn. A door soon slams and some buttons are pressed. Ten minutes later, I hear the microwave go off, and I could smell the amazing aroma of caramel corn through the air around me. It smelled so good; I couldn’t help but smile a bit, my mouth watering at the smell of it. Caramel corn has always been my favorite, has been for the longest time.

Next time I glance up, I notice Louis walking back into the room, a big bowl full of caramel popcorn to the brim. I sniff the air once as he comes closer, the aroma of the flavored popcorn filling my nostrils. He lets out a laugh and takes his earlier spot beside me.

“You’re still mean,” I mutter and turn away from him, trying to not to smile.

“You know I was just kidding, babe, didn’t mean any of that, promise,” he tells me and places the vat of popcorn between us. I turn and slowly reach for a few pieces of popcorn in the bowl.

“Sure you were,” I reply with a small smile and bring it up to my mouth.

I begin to eat some of the small handful as the movie starts. I turn my focus to the screen and chomp on some of the popcorn. As we watched the movie, I glanced over at Louis from the corner of my eye to see him fully engaged in the movie, bringing some of the popcorn up to his mouth to snack on. A small smile appears on my lips as I watch the movie and grab a small fist full of the caramel corn. Every so often, I would feel my hand brush up against his as I reach for some more of the food in the bowl.

My cheeks heat up a bit as I shift my gaze away from his and look back at the TV when I realize what just happened. “S-sorry,” I mutter softly and continue to watch the movie. It had just gotten to the part where Rose first arrives on the ship and Jack along with that friend of his are hurrying to get on with the tickets they won from a round of poker.

Louis tells me it’s alright, from our hands brushing up against each other’s. I couldn’t shake the blush from my cheeks. Is it that obvious that I was falling for him? It seemed like he felt the same way, because I don’t think if he didn’t feel the same, why would he ask me to go out with him in a few days? I shake the thoughts from my mind and try to get my focus back on the movie in front of my eyes.

We laughed at the funny parts throughout the movie. As we continue to watch, we demolish the popcorn in the bowl by the time it’s already halfway over. I was in tears the rest of the movie, once we got to the part near the end when the boat began to sink and Jack and Rose are trying to stay alive. I am bawling my eyes out by the time they are waiting for someone to come find them in the rescue boats because I know what happens next.

The end credits are soon rolling and ‘My Heart Will Go On’ begins to play. I laugh a bit and wipe my eyes with the nearest tissue I could find. “Oh my god, this movie always makes me cry,” I say with a laugh and sniffle as I look over at Louis. He gives me a smile before opening his arms, wanting me to come closer toward him.

“It’s only a movie, love, don’t cry, Abs,” Louis says, a slightly sad tone to his voice.

He wraps his arms around my small frame and reminds me once more that it’s only a movie. I laugh a bit before we part from the hug. We go on and watch a couple more movies for the next few hours. It was a good night in with the Tommo watching movies, that’s for sure. Now, I couldn’t wait to see what was in store when he takes me out in a few days, if only he’ll tell me… I’ll find out soon, hopefully.
