The Shadows Behind Us

Hannah's POV

Liam and I were going out for a date. It was our first year anniversary, since we became a couple. Louis is.... Somewhat fine with it, and the rest of the boys love us. Me, mostly(lol).

We walk over bridge, right above a river. Liam stops me in the middle and points down the little river. I see our reflections, both of ours, in he moonlight.

"You're so beautiful, Hannah. I love you," he says. He kisses my cheek lightly. I blush at the occasion, as I do every time.

"Liam, I love you too. There's no other place I'd rather be than in your arms.... Or at IHop, but that's not important right now," I say making him laugh.

I really do love him. I believe I've met Mr.Right. Although that Danielle chick, his ex girlfriend, doesn't like me, I don't care. As long as he loves me, and I love him, we'll be alright.

Liam hands me a Pink rose.

"Oh, Liam! I love pink roses!" The pedals were closed, not letting me be able to see the bud. I frown.

"Open the pedals," he whispers. I do as said, care fully slipping each pedal down, and look at it.

The diamond as bug as a large pea.

The brass structure perfectly fitted.

I look up at Liam, who takes the ring and gets on one knee.

I gasp, bring my hands to my mouth.

"Hannah Keller, would you make me ever so HAPPILY, and be my wife?" Tears prickle my eyes. I look at Liam.

His big, round brown eyes. His little new buzz cut. All these LITTLE THINGS I love about him. A clock in the distance struck twelve times.

This was one of our many to come MIDNIGHT MEMORIES.

All of this came from the shadows. THE SHADOWS BEHIND US.
