(Chapter six)
Annabelle's P.o.v:
*3 Week's Later*
"You haven't talked to him in three weeks?" Jadyn asked as we sat in the hospital cafeteria.
"No... he's been avoiding me." I say as I play with my french fries, dipping it in ketchup.
"Why are upset about it?" She asked, wiggling her eyebrows. "OMG! Did he fuck you then dump you cause I swear, I will rip his stupid, horny ass-"
"-Shut up! There are kids here!" I said, slapping her arm, lightly.
"Well did he?"
"No. He kissed me then got all freaked out about it and left." I said as I took a sip of my Pepsi.
"Pussy.." She murmured. I let out a laugh.
"Eh.. I guess I'm over it.." I trailed off as I dip my french fry in her milkshake. She didn't seem to care.
"Have you seen Adam lately?" She asked, doing the same as me and taking a french fry, and dipping it in the milkshake.
"No.. He has work and University." She nodded.
"How about you and Liam?" I asked.
"He went to go see his family so, I've become a loner." She said making a puppy face and sniffing.
"Aww, a lost puppy!" I say sarcastically, pointing at her face making both of us laugh. I saw her eyes widen behind me, making me want to turn around. But she didn't let me, grabbing my arm.
"Act like you can't even remember him. Best kind of revenge." She said, making a proud face.
"Why? He didn't do anything to-"
"-Yeah I know but he's with a girl. So, act like he's not even in the room." She said, biting off her french fry.
"I have a boyfriend!"
"Really? Because you should have thought of that when his tongue was down your throat!" She whisper-yelled.
"Whatever.." I trailed off, again, looking down at the fries and grabbing the salt shaker. I looked from the corner of my eye. But he didn't notice since my hair was in the way. Thank you, hair! He was with a girl, around his age. Wait! It's that night nurse, Spencer! She checks on my aunt and gives her, her pills. She's not very nice though. She has those eyes and look of a bitch. You can tell if you look at her.
"I swear, if looks could kill... She'd be dead." Jadyn said, laughing.
"Shut up'." I groaned, annoyed.
"Why can't you just admit you like him?"
"Cause, I don't. Nowhere near it." I said as I dipped the fry in again.
"Yeah? Then why do your eyes light up when you look at him?'' She fought back.
''Ugh! Is it bad? ..I feel like a whore!'' I murmured, playing with the fires. ''Sad part is, I don't even know him very well..'' I said, feeling worse. I mean, I have a boyfriend and I'm hanging out with another guy? Or ''getting to know him''. When I know I have a boyfriend! I swear I feel like a thirsty slut.
''Nah... Maybe, it's... erm... Love at first sight." She said, looking over at him. I threw a french fry at her when she did.
''Don't stare! And I don't believe in that bull shit..'' I said, swirling my fries in the milkshake.
''You have to see it to believe it." She said, grabbing a french fry.
''Shit he's coming over!'' She whisper-yelled.
Suddenly I felt... Nervous?
I looked through my hair and she was right. He is coming over. With her. Is he trying to make me jealous? Because a girl does not look pretty when she's jealous. It turns into World War 2. I looked again through my hair and I saw that he was looking at me. He bit his lip and turned the other way. Like three tables from where Jadyn and I wear at. When he looked at me I got that warm tingling feeling again. Ugh. Why?
I saw him and her sit down, having their breakfast. They were talking. I couldn't hear them nor wanted to see them, in fact. I turned my attention back to Jadyn who seemed to be thinking. Hard. I waved my hand over her face to get her attention. She snapped out of it and looked at me. She had a huge grin on her face. Kinda like the Grinch that stole Christmas cartoon, but less scary.
''Pretend you're talking to Adam!'' She said handing me my phone that was on the table.
''So, you can play the jealously game too!'' She said as she put it up in my face.
''Why would I want to do that? I have a boyfriend!''
''Okay... yeah. whatever.. Just make him feel bad for pussy-ing out the other day." She said still holding my phone.
I guess it wont hurt will it? I took it out of her hand and placed it in mine. Looking down at it, I bit my lip and pretended to smile at the screen, like I always do.
I held it up to my ear and bit my lip, swirling a bit of my hair in my finger.
''Hey, baby..'' I trailed off, sounding excited.
''I miss you, too..'' I say as I let go of my hair piece and play with the french fries.
''It's working.'' I heard Jadyn say. That gave me a bit of confidence. But not so much.
''Uh.. Tonight? How about around 12? Noon..'' I said looking up and seeing Harry stare at me, but looked away fast. "Oh, okay I- no I get it.." I said.
"Adam! Don't be so dirty.." I murmured the last part. I heard a huff. I don't know why, but this is fun. "But I... erm..Yeah.. Did you study?' I said not really knowing what to say now. Great.
"Good.."

I winced at the loud ring in my ear. Which even made me drop my phone. Great. I leaned over and picked it up. My eyes went to Harry and there he was laughing his ass off. Well, fuck him. I pressed the answer button. To talk to real Adam not fake one.
"Hey."
"Hey baby! I took the hole day off so that we can be together." I heard him say, happily. I felt guilty.
"That's great!"
"Where are you at babe?"
"Dumb hospital.." I said, making sure Harry heard it. What the fuck?
"With who?"
"Jadyn."
"Where in the hospital?"
"Cafeteria."
"Aright, close your eyes." I closed them and then felt to hands slide to my waist. I opened them and turned around on my chair.
"Hey, baby." He said, smiling, as he started kissing me. I kissed him back. I heard a gagging noise. Jadyn.
"PDA!" She said, annoyed, making me laugh. Adam took a chair from the table next to us, not far from Harry's.
"Sorry.. What we having?" He asked as he took a french fry and dipped it in the milkshake. I gasped as he put a dab on my noise then leaned up and kissed it.
He is perfect. Why am I so caught up with Harry? He's like 6 years older than me! I have Adam and I love him. That's that, I can't be going around slutting it up with Harry. I have a great boy who loves and cares for me. If that's not enough I don't know what is.
