Wild dreams can come true.
Chapter 1
It was about 3 p.m when I arrived at the NYC airport. It was getting warmer by the minute and I could feel the sweat running on my nose making my sunglasses slip. I walked throught the big glass doors and found myself outside of the airport holding my two, huge suite cases. You see, I just flew away from home, Greece. I'm so lucky I got to be accepted at NYU to study Music& Arts! I just wish I could have squeezed more clothes in my suite cases! I got in the first taxi I could find, as the driver helped me put my things in the port-bagage. "Where to miss?" the driver asked me. "Huh...?" I said sounding surprized and lost at the same time. "Oh, wait just a sec...sir.... I've...got the...um....adress on my...cell..." I said while trying to find my i-phone in my purse. I could feel the taci driver roll his eyrs up to the celling then back at the little car mirror. "Oh, here! Umm... 26 and Bleak street please...?" I commanded him in a shy way. After almost 2 hours of being stuck in the summer traffic, the taxi finally stopped in front of a huge building that was surrounded by lots of grass. "Oh my god! Here we are! The NYU dorms! I can recognize it from the pictures I saw on their website!" I almost svreamed. The poor taxi driver just stood sprachless and then got my bags out of the port-bagage. I paid, thanked him and started walking towards the big entrance. When I was finally in the building I fell a cool breeze drying the sweat on my arms and legs. "Can I help you, miss?" a calm, alomost robotic voice asked. "Uh, me?" I said while snapping out of my mezmerized observation of the big room. "Yes." the woman behind the reception counter said. "Oh, um, yeah, I'm registered for a room..?" I said. "Your name please?" she said. "Um...It's Maria Georgiadou...?" I said and then spelled it for her. "Alright miss Georgiadou... Dorm 258." she said while giving me a paper and a plastic card. "Oh, thank you!" I said with a big smile on my face but while I was turning around I bumbed on my suitcases and almost fell. "Wooooow!" I said and finally got back on my feet.
