Love like Caterpillars
Riley's P.O.V
The girls and I get to the mall and go to the first store we see. We all split up, agreeing to meet at the fitting rooms in five minutes, and grab different articles of clothing. I grab a few blouses, a skirt, and a couple dresses. Luckily me and El are the same size so it makes everything a lot easier. While I'm looking through some skirts my phone vibrates in my bag. I pull it out and smile when I see its a text from Harry.
Harry ;P: Can't wait to see you tonight, I'm sure you're going to look stunning
Butterflies erupt in my stomach. I reply quickly.
me: Starting the flattery early are we? ;P
I go back to shopping and decide to not reply if he texts me back, gotta leave some anticipation for tonight don't I?
We all meet back at the fitting rooms as promised and Danielle and Perrie push us in with outfits they've picked out.
"So Riley. What's up with you and Harry?" Perrie asks as I come out in the first outfit.
I walk to the mirror. "What do you mean? We're friends I guess? I mean it's been years since I've spoken to him, but I think thats what we are." I say. I mean I think I have feelings for him but I mean it's only been a week so it's hard to tell, but I won't tell them that.
Perrie and Danielle exchange a look and I know what's eyre thinking but I grab another outfit and run back into the changing room.
"Well I think Harry likes you." I hear Eleanor say. I'm surprised by this. How can she be so observant of how others feel but be completely oblivious to the fact that Louis is practically in love with her.
"Oh really? You can see that but you can't see the fact that Louis has liked you for years?" Dani says. I burst out in laughter. She completely read my mind.
I walk out in my next outfit and look at El. "I agree with Dani and I've only been here for a week!" I say as my giggling subsides. El just rolls her eyes and walks back into her changing room.
"I think you and Harry would be a great couple." Danielle says. "You guys are already friends, so you know you trust each other right?" She says.
"Well we were friends when we were kids, I mean I trust him but we don't know anything about each other considering we haven't seen one another in so long." I say. Perrie nods her head in agreement.
El walks back out in a very cute dress and we all convince her that she needs to get it. She agrees and goes back in to change. I go in to switch outfits again.
"Well regardless of the time you've spent apart there is still a connection there. I mean why else would he ask you out on this date tonight." El says. I freeze. No he was just helping Louis out, this was just a friend date so that Louis wouldn't be nervous. I keep my mouth shut because I'm not completely sure that she knows that.
I walk out in my outfit and Perrie yells "Ri you look fantastic! If Harry doesn't like you now he'll definitely fall for you tonight!" I laugh and shake my head taking a look at myself in the mirror. I did look really nice. I hide my arm quickly realizing my fading scars were exposed.
"We need to find some jewelry." I say quickly as I head back into my changing room.
Once everything we needed was bought we headed to Eleanor's house so that we can all get ready. Me and El for our dates and Perrie and Dani for the party.
"Alright Louis just texted me saying him and Harry are down the block." El says.
"Alright perfect because you ma'am.... Are.... Done!" Perrie tells me as she finishes up my hair.
El and I face each other with giant grins on our faces. We all walk downstairs and grab our bags. As soon as we're completely ready the doorbell rings.
"COMING!" Dani yells. We follow behind trailing back a few feet.
Once Dani opens the door I see Louis and he smiles widely when he spots El. As we get closer i finally see Harry and he looks straight into my eyes, smiling wide and showing his deep dimples. My heart flutters a little bit. He looks amazing.
Harry's P.O.V
When I finally saw Riley my nerves skyrocketed. She looks absolutely amazing. I can't help the smile that appears on my face. She returns the smile as she walks towards me.
"Hi." She says still smiling.
I reach out to grab her hand and pull her closer. "Hey." I say looking in her eyes. With her heels she's only an inch shorter than me. "You look... Stunning." I tell her. Her smile grows wider.
"Right back at ya." She says winking. I chuckle and look to Louis.
"We ready mate?" I ask once he stops gawking at Eleanor.
"Let's hit the road!" He says wrapping his arm around his date. Both Riley and I laugh at him while El just chuckles.
I gesture for Riley to link arms with me and she does.
"See you guys at the party later right?!" Danielle yells after us. I shoot up a thumbs up.
I lead her to the car and open the door for her to get in.
"So chivalrous." She says giggling.
"Well of course m'lady." I say in an extremely posh accent.
"Your mum must have been furious!" Riley says as her giggling subsides. Louis just finished telling her about the time the lads and I had a water gun fight in the house, completely soaking the new carpet.
I nod as my own laughter subsides. "Yea she was pretty upset at all of us. Gemma just stood back and laughed as my mum yelled at the five of us. You would think twelve year olds would know better." I say chuckling.
"Luckily she forgave us. She had told us we were never allowed over after that but she realized she was overreacting but she did warn us that if we did it again she'd mop the floor with our heads." Louis adds in.
After we all finish telling embarrassing childhood memories we move on to our firsts.
"I'm telling you there should be a class on what to do with your tongue because he just practically licked my face!" El says. We burst out laughing, Riley practically in tears.
Once our laughter subsided El looked at Riley. "So what about you Ri, what was your first kiss like?"
Riley calmed down a bit, taking a sip of her water before looking at us. "Well, I could tell you about my first tongue kiss but I'd rather tell you about my first peck." She says smiling.
*Flashback*(Riley is telling this story)
"HARRY!" I yell seeing him in the tree fort.
Harry looks down smiling at me. "Riley! Come on!" He yells down.
I climb up the ladder quickly and Harry helps me climb in the fort.
"Look at these caterpillars I caught." He says showing me fuzzy little bugs in a clear tub. "I think they're married." He states. "Look they look like they're kissing." He says again.
"Awwww they love each other." I say excitedly.
"Do people always kiss each other when they love each other?" He asks looking a me with a curious face.
"Well, yea. Mummies and Daddies kiss each other so that must be true." I explain confidently.
He looks like he's deep in thought then looks at me and says "Well we love each other right? Because we're best friends." I nod my head in agreement. "So does that mean we should kiss each other?" He asks.
I shrug my shoulders "I guess."
He faces me and leans closer. He closes his eyes and puckers his lips. I lean in closing my eyes and mimicking his face. I continue to move closer until our lips touch. We stay there for a minute until we move apart at the same time. We both smiled at each other and then went back to talking about the caterpillars.
*End of Flashback*
I sit there staring at Riley as she finishes the story. I almost forgot about that kiss. Her talking about it brought back a memory I held onto for a while after she left. I remember telling my mom that I was sad she moved because we loved each other.
"You two were meant for each other!" El pipes. I notice Riley blush at the comment but I smile. I think you're right El.

Kids are so innocent so I thought the flashback was perfect =] not to brag or anything lol.
