Riley's P.O.V

Cara and I walk into the cafeteria and go grab some food before I lead her to the lunch table where Harry and the rest of our group is sitting. As we approach them I see that Harry is bouncing his leg, something he does when he's trying not to show that he's nervous. I look to Cara and notice she is staring at Harry as well. I can't say I blame her, my boyfriend is gorgeous.

We finally approach the table and Harry looks up at me and he looks very upset. What did I miss? I make a note to ask him what's wrong after I introduce Cara. "Hey guys. This is-" I begin.

"Cara?" Perrie asks, shock written on her face.

"Hi Perrie. Long time no see." She says. I'm not sure what to make of her tone. What am I missing here?
"Oh you two know each other?" I ask Cara.

There is an awkward silence for a moment as I look at everyone's faces. "We all do." Harry says. His tone is clipped and is making me really nervous. He stands abruptly and moves me so I'm standing behind him. "You think you're slick don't you?" He asks Cara angrily. Alright now I am completely confused. "You knew who she was." He says pointing to me.

A sly smile spreads across her face. "No, but I guess I just got lucky."

I place my tray down and step around Harry. "Does anyone want to tell me what the hell is going on?" I say losing my patience. I look at Harry who is still glaring at Cara, his jaw clenched. I then look to Cara who still has that sickeningly sly smile plastered on her face. When neither of them respond I look to the others. They all drop their eyes to avoid my gaze. "Liam?" I ask, knowing he's the only one who would be smart enough to tell me the truth right now.

He looks at the three of us standing but then keeps his eyes on Harry. A few more awkward seconds go by and Harry speaks "You should go." Cara chuckles.

"You weren't the one who invited me here so it's not up to you." She answers. She looks to me then, "Riley, do you want me to go?" Harry looks at me then and I feel everyone's gaze on me as well.
I feel my nerves start to rise. I look into Harry's eyes his face is still hard with anger but his eyes are pleading. I look back at Cara "I... I think it's best if you go. I'm sorry." I decide. She scoffs and walks past me, shoving my shoulder. Once she's out of earshot and I notice everyone has relaxed I sit down in front of my tray. Harry sits down next to me and turns his body to face me.

"Thank you Riley. You need to stay away from her, she's not a good person." He tells me as he takes hold of my hand. I rip my hand away from him. He raises his eyebrow.

"Can you tell me what the hell that was about?" I asked frustrated.

He takes a deep breath and runs his hand through his hair. "Ri. This is not the place to talk about this. How about you come over after school?" I think about this for a minute and nod my head. The rest of the lunch Harry and I keep pretty quiet.

Harry's P.O.V

Riley and I get to my house and I lead her straight to my room. She sits on the bed and looks at me expectantly. I pace in front of her for a few moments, trying hard to keep myself calm. I still haven't figured out exactly how to put this. "Before I start... I just want you to promise me something." I tell her as I stare at her from across the room.

"Harry what is it?" Concern is etched across her face.

I get on my knees in front of her and take her hands in mine. "Please just know that this was almost two years ago. I don't want you to think of me differently." My eyebrows are so furrowed I am sure it almost looks like a uni brow.

Riley removes one hand from my hold and runs it through my hair and to the back of my neck. "Just tell me what's going on Haz."

I take a deep breath again and close my eyes. I release the breath and kiss Riley's hand. I open my eyes and look into Riley's blue ones. Here goes nothing.
