Homecoming

Riley's P.O.V
"Boo!" I jump about ten feet in the air when someone grabs me from behind while I'm at my locker. I put both my hands on my heart and turn around to see a laughing Harry. I can't help but laugh along with him, his laugh is pretty infectious. I shake my head at the still laughing boy.

"Glad you think giving me a heart attack is funny." I say, going back to my locker to finish getting ready to go home.

His laughter slowly subsides and he wipes the tears from his eyes. He's still smiling though, making those dimples that I love appear more prominent than ever. "Sorry. I couldn't help it. You were just so zoned out into your locker. To be fair I said your name when I was a few steps away." He explains as he leans against the locker next to me.

"Lies, I don't believe you." I say shoving him a little, he's too strong for me so he barely moves. He chuckles again though.

I am just closing my locker when I notice Lou and El walking hand in hand towards us. They are so cute, they've been completely smitten since they got together. It's quite adorable. "Hello love birds." I say as they reach us. El giggles and gives me a quick hug. We all walk outside and to Louis' car. "El can you come over? I need help with science and I know how amazing you are at it." I ask her as we get closer.

"Sure no problem." She agrees.

Louis frowns "Thanks for stealing my girl Ri. What if I was planning on taking her home and having my way with her? You'd totally be cock blocking!" Lou says rather dramatically. I chuckle but El goes red and hides her face in her hands.

"Such a drama queen. Don't worry Lou I'll come over and you can have your way with me." Harry says winking at him. Me and El chuckle.

Louis' eyes go wide and a huge smile spreads on his face "I THOUGHT YOUD NEVER SAY SO!" He yells and jumps into Harry's arms. Harry attempts to carry him like a baby but can't stand straight because he is laughing too hard.

"Well it looks like you've got some competition El." I say after calming my laughter.

Once we've all calmed down we pile into the car and drive to my house. We sing obnoxiously to the crappy songs that come on but then the boy's favorite song, Teenage dirtbag, comes on and they hush me and El. I look at El and she's holding back a laugh and mouths for me to listen closely.

"Her name is Noel, and I had a dream about her. She rings my bell, got gym class in half an hour. Oh how she rocks, in keds and tube socks. But she doesn't know who I am. She doesn't give a damn about me." Harry sings. Wow, I remember him singing when we were kids but his voice has changed so much and he sounds.... Amazing. There's a rasp to his voice that gives me goosebumps. I look to Eleanor and she's smiling widely.

The he boys sing the chorus and another verse together and then Louis sings alone. "man, I feel like mould. It's prom night and I am lonely. Low and behold, she's walking over to me. This must be fate, my lips shake. How does she know who I am? Why does she give a damn about me?" I am pleasantly surprised by Louis' voice, it has a very sweet sound to it. I smile and Eleanor who I swooning over the boy.

They sing the rest of the song. Harry going completely crazy with the rock music pumping through the speakers. I chuckle as I watch him. When the song is done El and I clap and Lou thanks us mimicking Elvis. Harry blushes and looks at me. "You sounded amazing!" I tell him. He smiles and thanks me.

"Alright get out of my car! I have a hot date to get to!" Louis yells as he pulls up to my house. El and I laugh as we get out. She gives Louis and quick kiss and we say goodbye and walk into my house.

Harry's P.O.V
If can't help but stare as Riley walks away. Louis drives away and I look back to the road. We get to his house and we head straight to the kitchen. Louis throws me a beer and he takes one for himself.

"So, you gunna tell me what you're going to do about Riley?" He asks rather bluntly.

I choke a little on the sip I just took. "Uh, what do you mean?" I ask as I finish choking.

Louis rolls his eyes "Don't play dumb. I saw you flirting at lunch. I'm guessing her date didn't go well and that you freaked out yesterday for no reason. Now is your chance to make a move before another guy comes along and steals her from you." He says to me.

I tense up at the image of Riley with someone else. I can't let that happen. I sigh and take another sip from my beer and nod in agreement. I know he's right but I don't know what to do. "I've got to go to the loo." I say suddenly. I take the walk through the house and think of a plan. I stare in the mirror and try and give myself a bit of confidence. I've never had trouble talking to girls, it's always come easy for me. With Riley it's different though, she makes me really nervous. I take a deep breath. Alright I need to do this. I search my pockets for my phone so I can call Riley and ask her on a date but I must have left it in the kitchen.

I walk back and my phone is on the counter, I look to Lou and he has a smug smile on his face. "Whats up with you?" I ask him. He shakes his head still smiling. I grab my phone and see it's unlocked already and opened to my messages. It vibrates in my hand and I have a text from Riley.

Ri <3: Oh, ok. Sounds good =] see you tonight then.

Huh? I glance up at Lou his is trying not to laugh. I look back at my phone at the previous message and it says "Hey gorgeous. How about I show you how a real date is supposed to go? Me and you, dinner tonight. Pick you up at 8?" My eyes go wide and Lou finally laughs. I look up at him and he shuts up quickly. We stand there for a minute before I bolt for him. He darts out of the kitchen and up the stairs. "YOURE DEAD LOU!" I yell after him. He runs into his room and locks the door.

I hear him laughing from behind the door. "Haz listen. You needed a push. So, I had to do it." He explains. I shake my head. I guess he's right. But that was more of a shove.

"Yea a push Lou, not a shove!" I yell at him. I hear him laugh and open the door with his hands up in surrender.

He chuckles. "You say shove I say nudge. WHO CARES THOUGH?!?! You've got a hot date tonight mate!" He says shaking me by my shoulders.

I think for a minute and then smile finally. He's right, this is exactly what I wanted anyway right? Suddenly I realize the reality of the situation and become incredibly nervous. I feel the blood drain from my body.

Lou laughs. "Relax Haz, everything will be fine." He says guiding me to the kitchen.

I hope he's right.
