Christmas Wishes
Chapter 21
*Maddy's POV*
I awoke early the next morning with Louis' arms wrapped around my waist. After everything that went on last night, all the engagements, I decided to spend the night over with Louis. I turned over and gave him a quick kiss. His eyes quickly fluttered open with a slight surprised look on his face.
"Good morning!" I said cheerfully to him.
"Good morning beautiful." He said smiling to me.
"Merry Christmas." I said smiling at him before I quickly kissed him.
"Merry Christmas, should we go open presents?" he asked pulling the covers off the both of us.
"Yes, let's." I said jumping up. We both walked downstairs and I noticed there were a lot more presents than when I went to bed.
"What is all of this?" I turned to him smiling, but still had a confused look on my face.
"Looks like Santa came" He said smirking at me, "Come on" He said grabbing my hand and leading me to the couch.
"First open this!" He said throwing a present at me. I read the tag and it said 'To: Maddy From: Santa'
"What is it?" I asked inspecting the box.
"I don't know! It's from Santa. Open it and find out."
"You're really going to play along with this whole Santa idea?" I asked
"I don't know what you're talking about 'playing along' Santa brought these gifts and I have no idea what they are." He said pretending like he had no clue. He can be such a child sometimes, but I love it. I just shook my head and opened it up.
"Oh my gosh, Louis it's beautiful!" I said pulling out one of the most beautiful dresses I have ever seen.
"Alright this one next!" He said throwing a mother wrapped box at me.
"No I am not opening another until you open one, too." I said getting up and heading over to the tree. I grabbed one of the presents I had gotten him and threw it over to him.
"Fine, if I have to open a present I will." He said sarcastically. He opened it up and smiled. It was just an outfit I had bought for him, but he seemed to like it. We opened presents, well I opened most of them, for another half hour or so.
"You know Louis, I thought we said we were only going to get each other a couple of gifts, and not go crazy!" I said to him. About a month ago we told each other that we were only going to get the other a few presents. He did have a lot more money than I had, I only had so much, and I didn't want him getting me a million more presents than what I got him, which he did anyway.
"Maddy, like I said, I have no idea what you are talking about. Santa brought most of these for you, I did not." I said, he will not quit with this Santa thing.
"Fine, well then thank you santa!" I said to the sky which earned a little chuckle from Louis.
"I have one more present for you." I said getting up and walking over to the tree to get him the key to my apartment I got him. I walked back over and handed him the small box.
"Now whatever could this be?" He said looking at it.
"You'll just have to open it and see." He then quickly tore off the wrapping paper that covered the small box. He opened it and read the note out loud that I put in with it.
Louis,
You know how much I love you, and you know how big of a deal this is for me, but I wouldn't want anyone else to have this but you. I trust you with everything I have and am. You always have the ability to make me smile and laugh no matter how sad and down I may be. You are my best friend and the one I love the most. I am so glad that you came into my life. You are my world. I love you!

He then looked back in the box and saw the key.
"Maddy, are you serious? I know how big this is for you." He said with a big grin on his face. He then pulled me into a huge hug, "Thank you, I love you so much!" He said into my ear.
"I love you, too" Really though, a lot of people would be like 'really? a key to your apartment? That's lame' but to me it is so much more. I don't believe in living with someone before marriage, it's a personal choice. Now he has a key and he can come and go from my place as he pleases. For me, it's a huge step. He is also the first serious boyfriend I have ever had, so it is kind of a big deal for me, and Louis knows that.
"So I kind of have one more gift for you as well." He said pulling away from our hug and walking into the other room. a few minutes later he came back with a card.
"Here, this is for you." He said handing it to me and then taking his seat back next to me. I quickly opened it, I read the card first.
Maddy,
You are my everything, I can not tell you how much I love you. I absolutely adore you. You are the most beautiful person I have ever laid eyes on. Everything you do is spectacular and makes me smile. Whenever you laugh, I can't help but laugh as well, and when you smile, I smile. Wow, sounded a little like Justin Bieber there… Anyway, I don't know where I would be today if I didn't have you. I love you so much! Merry Christmas babe! ;)

I almost started crying just reading the note, that for real is the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me.
"Don't cry!" He said wiping away I had starting to make its way down my face. I laughed a little and looked to see what else was in the envelope. I gasped once I saw what was inside.
"You didn't…" I said looking at him with a shocked look on my face. He just smiled at me. Inside
were 2 tickets back to Utah, my home.
"We are going back to spend 2 weeks with your family." He said to me and I practically jumped on him hugging him.
"I can't believe you did this!" I said so excitedly! He hasn't ever officially met my family. He has FaceTimed them with me before and have talked to all of them, but he hasn't met them face to face.
"Yup, now I can officially meet your family and you can see them for the first time in like, what, 6 months?"
"Louis, you are the best boyfriend I could ever ask for!" I said hugging him yet again.
"Now, you haven't been believing the whole Santa bit, but what is this?" He asked holding up the note I wrote to Santa the night before.
"Um.. Okay well you weren't going to be home and I wanted nothing more. I didn't know what else I could do, so I wrote a letter to Santa." I said explaining myself.
"That is probably the cutest thing I have ever heard." He said giving me a kiss. This is the best Christmas I have ever had.
