Chapter 17
*Maddy's POV*
I cautiously made my way downstairs to investigate what the noise was. As soon as I reached the bottom of the stairs, I heard the once voice that I wanted to hear the most.
"Hey love" I turned around and saw Louis smiling at me.
"Louis!? What are you doing!? I thought you weren't going to be back until after Christmas!" I said jumping into his arms. He just laughed and looked down at me. Then he leaned in and kissed me.
"You don't know how badly I have been wanting to do that."
"So explain to me how you got home!"
"Well I am not 100% sure what Liam did, but all I know is that we are here! We made it back
home just in time for Christmas day!"
"Louis, you do not know how glad I am to have you here with me! Now it feels like Christmas, and I don't feel so alone." I said hugging him and breathing in his scent.
"I'm glad to be here too. Now, I need to tell you something and I hope that you will help out."
"Alright….?"
"Okay, well Liam wants to propose to Amity tonight and he asked for our help. The boys and I learned a new song that we are going to sing and we need you girls to come with us to "kidnap" her. Are you in?" I was shocked. I am so happy that Liam is finally going to propose, it is finally time!
"Are you kidding me!? Yes! Of course I will help! I am so happy that Liam finally decided to propose!" I said so excitedly.
"Alright, well as much as I really want to stay here with you and just cuddle, we have to go and get the plan in motion! Oh, and I love your Christmas outfit." He said grabbing my hand and leading me to the door.
"Thank you, and you look pretty snazzy in your tux yourself." I said while I quickly grabbed a jacket and we headed out the door to the car. The whole ride there Louis didn't let go of my hand, and I was glad he didn't. I just wanted to make sure that he is there with me, that I wasn't imaging it all. Just to feel him next to me. Once we arrived at Amity's house everyone was already there waiting for us. We were going to drive her to the place and everyone else was going in 2 other cars. Louis got out of the car and ran over and opened my door for me.
"What a gentleman." I said to him as he grabbed my hand and we walked over to the others.
"Alright, so Liam is at the park waiting for us. Now let's go knock on the door and kidnap Amity!"
"Shh Harry! You're going to give away that we're here!" Zayn said glaring at him.
"Sorry." Harry whispered. We all walked up to the door and Niall knocked. Once she opened the door we all knew exactly what to do.
"MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!" We all shouted. She looked shocked to see us all. I could tell she was searching for Liam, but he isn't here. Louis quickly grabbed her arm.
"We must be going," he said and grabbed her coat off the rack, holding it open for her to put on. She slide her arms in.
"I'm glad to see you guys and all but I have a few questions-" I started to tell us but Zayn quickly cut her off.
"No time to talk," he said and threw her shoes over to her. She put them on and we quickly rushed her out the door. She had somewhere important to be.
"What the hell is going on??" She asked yet again as we lead her to the car. Louis opened the passenger door for Amity and pecked me on the cheek before getting in the drivers side. I have missed him so much…
"What the hell Lou!" I asked once he got in the car. He just smirked at her.
"You'll be thanking me later," he said while waiting for the other cars to head out before us.
"Can I least ask you where we're going?" I asked curiously, she does not like not knowing things.
"That would ruin the surprise," Louis said, keeping his eyes forward.
"OHMYGODDD," She just groaned. We quickly arrived to the place where we were supposed to and it was amazing. A perfect place to propose. Score one for Liam. Louis stopped at the gate and looked over at her.
"Ready?" He asked.
"What's going on Lou?" She asked still not liking the fact that she had no idea what was going on. Louis hopped out of the car and opened her door. Then music started playing.
Louis held out his arm for her to take and she accepted. He then started to sing.
"Am I asleep, am I awake, or somewhere in between?
I can't believe that you are here and lying next to me
Or did I dream that we were perfectly entwined?
Like branches on a tree, or twigs caught on a vine?" I just love his voice. Once he finished he looked over at me and smiled almost assuring me that he was singing about me.
Niall then came into play and linked with her other arm and conned the song.
"Like all those days and weeks and months I tried to steal a kiss
And all those sleepless nights and daydreams where I pictured this,
I'm just the underdog who finally got the girl
And I am not ashamed to tell it to the world,"
Zayn and Harry then walked out from behind the bushes and sang together.

Foolishly, completely falling
And somehow you caved all my walls in

In love with you," they always sound amazing. These are some crazy talented boys. Niall and Louis stepped back and Harry and Zayn linked arms with her and continued walking.
"Should I put coffee and granola on a tray in bed
And wake you up with all the words that I still haven't said?
And tender touches, just to show you how I feel
Or should I act so cool like it was no big deal?" Harry sang first.
"Wish I could freeze this moment in a frame and stay like this
I'll put this day back on replay and keep reliving it
'Cause here's the tragic truth if you don't feel the same
My heart would fall apart if someone said your name," Zayn sang last before they starting singing together.
"And truly, madly, deeply, I am
Foolishly, completely falling
And somehow you caved all my walls in

Truly, madly, crazy, deeply in love with you," At this time they arrived to where Liam was and she was so happy to see him, if she hadn't already been crying, she would be right now. Harry and Zayn let go and she went to Liam.
He grabbed her hands and sang his part to her.
"I hope I'm not a casualty,
Hope you won't get up and leave
Might not mean that much to you
But to me it's everything, everything," the boys continued to sing while Liam talked to Amity.
"Amity, I love you more than anything in this world. Right now, I'm living my dream. I always thought I would say that because of my fame, but it's because of you. You're my everything. When I see my future, I can't picture it without you. I've stood on stage in front of millions of screaming girls, but I've never been more nervous than I am right now," He got down on one knee.
"Amity Gracelyn Hemmingway," he then pulled out the ring, "Will you marry me?"
Tears just started falling down her face and she nods, He slid the ring on her finger and kissed her. This was probably the cutest thing I have ever seen! Louis walked over to me and put his arm around me.
"Aren't they just so cute?" He asked me.
"Almost as cute as we are." I said smiling as he hugged me, "I am so happy for them, it is finally time that they took it farther."
"I'm happy for him. He found the girl he wants to spend the rest of his life with."
"Have you ever thought that maybe you might have…?" I bravely asked wondering what his answer would be.
"I think I might have." He said grinning down at me before he kissed me. I hope that maybe one day he would be mine forever, but that can wait. I just hope it will come true one day, one day.
"Merry Christmas, Louis."
"Merry Christmas, Maddy." I can't wait for tomorrow and all the surprises I have left for Louis.
