Niall's POV

Niall sat across from Gabrielle at the table. She had been sitting there for ten minutes on the phone calling everyone related to Karmina's book deal. As soon as they had sat, Gabrielle had finished her salad within minutes. He was surprised she had finished eating before him. He, in fact, secretly admired her for it. She noticed him staring and smiled paired with a wink before continuing her phone call. It was that, her spontaneity that made Niall like her. He never knew what to expect with her and loved it. She was his adrenalin and he was addicted to it. Niall was use to girls that he could figure out within the first five minutes, but not Gabrielle. She spoke her mind and did what she wanted. She paid no attention to other people's judgements. The girls that usually fell for Niall were in love with his image not his heart. Though Gabrielle said she didn't want the relationship it didn't mean that she didn't feel for him what he fell for her.

"Are you okay?" She asked him after hanging up the phone.

"Me? No, I'm fine. Are you okay?" He laughed nervously.

"I will be," she gave a week smile, before grabbing a spoonful of Niall's pudding.

"What are you doing?" Niall stared at her, trying to give her an angry look, but all he could do was try not to smile.

"I'm eating it," she licked his spoon slow and seductively. Niall shook his head.

"I won't exchange sex for food," Niall laughed. "No way."

"I wasn't even suggesting that," Gabrielle smirked, while returning his spoon to the pudding. "But surely I can have a bite," she leaned forward, so Niall got a view of her breast.

"Fine," Niall smiled. "But this is your last bite," he warned. She nodded and took a very large spoonful before sticking her tongue out at him.

After eating, they walked on back to the elevator. They passed Karmina's room, without stopping. They could here Taylor's voice from the hallway and Niall watched Gabrielle tense up. He put an arm around her shoulder and continued walking down the hall to the NICU. Once they entered they saw Louis there alone beside a very small baby.

"Is this her?" Niall pointed.

"Yeah, that's Karry. She beautiful like her mother, but I can already see Harry's personality in her," Louis laughed before excusing himself to the loo.

"She's precious," Gabrielle put her small hand on Karry's forehead gently. Niall watched her stare a Karry in awe.

"She truly is," he said softly. He watched Karry crinkle her nose a little before turning her head to the other side. It was incredible to see such a small human being.

"I love babies," she whispered, a hand on Karry's feet.

"You want one? I'll give you one," Niall gestured to the closet door. Gabrielle giggled, before rolling her eyes playfully at him.

"I don't think I'm cut out for motherhood. Karmina would be a great mom, but not me," she looked down to Karry again.

"I think you would be a great mother," Niall nudged her playfully. She looked at him for a few seconds before turning away. "Be with me," Niall whispered.

"What?" She frowned.

"Be with me, Gabrielle." Niall grabbed her hand. "I want to be with you. I think about you everyday all day. My thoughts when I wake and go to sleep are of you. I just can't be away from you," Niall pulled her chin up so she was looking up at him.

"Niall, I told you. I'm not good for a relationship. I cheat, I lie and I will only break your heart. I refuse to hurt you," her tearful eyes looked down.

"We will take it slow. Please all I am asking for is a chance. My heart beats for you, and only you," he put her hand over his heart. "One date, please." She looked at Niall for along time, her eyes darting back and forth in between his.

"Fine, one date. I have already warned you. One date, and that's all." She said sternly.

"If you don't want to be with me after one date, I promise to leave you alone," he slouched slightly so they were at eye level. She nodded, Niall then grabbed her face and kissed her. A sweet, tender, and passionate kiss.

There was a knock at the door and Niall immediately backed off. "

"I hope we aren't interrupting," Zayn stood at the door, next to Liam and Louis.

"No, not at all," it was Gabrielle who answered, for Niall was red in the face. Gabrielle smiled before excusing herself.

"You might want to take a seat, mate. You got a stiffy there," Louis laughed and Niall sat immediately.

"She's got you wild, ey, mate?" Liam patted his shoulder.

"You have no idea," Niall shook his head. "We just randomly hook up constantly but she's afraid of going out with me. She just finally agreed to a date now."

"Well don't mess it up then," Zayn raised his eyebrows while pointing at him.

"I'm already nervous enough, but thank for the advice," Niall's eyes widened. "It just has to be really special."
