He Loves Me For Me
Chapter 27
My eyes slowly crept open as I woke up. My arms stretch while my fingers extended. I got up early today so I could make breakfast for my grandparents. My plan was to butter them up into helping me pay for my trip to Florida with Eve. My feet touched my light pink slippers as I stood up. I made their favorite. Blueberry pancakes with fruits and coffee. I waited for the smell of my pancakes to wake them up.
"Morning." I greeted them.
"Morning honey. Is this for us?" My grandfather asked.
"Yup." I smiled lightly.
"What do you want?" My grandmother said figuring out my plan.
"Sit down first." I said.
"Ok. Eve and I want to go away to Florida for Valentines weekend. The problem is I can't afford the plane tickets by myself. Would you be willing to help me out?" I asked scrunching up my face.
"Sure." My grandfather spoke taking a sip of his coffee.
"Yeah. I think you could use a vacation. You're always either at work or school or the club." Agreed my grandmother.
My face oozed with excitement. That was really easy. I thought I was going to have to do a lot of begging and convincing.
"We'll pay for most of the ticket and even give you spending money." Said my grandfather.
"Thanks so much!" I said kissing them on the cheek each.
I ran up to my room. I picked up new phone I struggled to buy and called Eve.
"Eve, pack your bags because we're going to Florida!" I screamed.
"You serious?!" She asked.
"Yup! My grandparents are going to help me pay for my ticket. I'll buy two tickets and you'll just give me your half." I said.
"Sounds like a plan! Lets go shopping later together! Meet me at my house at 4:00pm, k?" She said.
"Ok, bye." I said hanging up.
I laid back onto my pillow. A stupid smile was plastered on my face as I looked up at the ceiling. Florida was going to be soo much fun. I promised myself that I wasn't going to get down about Harry. This trip was strictly based on having fun!
Four o'clock came fast. Eve and I went to every store in the mall. We shopped for bikinis and summer clothes since it's warm in Florida. We also picked up a couple of club dresses incase we wanted to go out. Of course, even with our breakup, people recognized me, asking for pictures. At times it got overwhelming. I thought I left that all behind when I left Harry. But obviously not. I got home with fifty thousand bags. Tired and afraid my arms were going to fall off from my body, I plopped them on my floor when I got to my room. Sadie came into my room, barking and running around the bags, tearing little tiny pieces.
"I'm gonna miss you, Sadie." I spoke into her fur.
I would be leaving in less than two weeks. Then, not seeing Sadie or my grandparents for about a week. I changed into my pjs and literally made a mental list of everything we were going to do. Hitting the beach, club, restaurants, shopping. I fell asleep, my brain becoming overworked with everything I was trying to think of.
The week zoomed by. By the time I realized, Eve and I would be leaving tomorrow. I sat on my floor the night before we were suppose to leave. A bunch of items were scattered across my floor.
"Clothes, shoes, toothbrush, soap. Tampons, just incase. Lotions, makeup." I muttered to myself quietly.
"I think I got everything." I spoke to Sadie.
He head was tilted up, staring at me. Her brown eyes were causing my heart to melt with sadness.
"I wish I could just pack you in here!" I said hugging her.
Her fur tickled and warmed my face. I was close with Sadie, but I think I grew closer to her after me and Harry split. It sounds silly to grow close with a dog, but she comforted me. I just hope I don't grow old and alone and have a hundred dogs.
Ok :)
