Listening to Niall

"Gosh, why is he still here?" I say giving him a cold glance.
"Who is that?" Louis asked waving back.
"What are you doing?" Eleanor got hold of his hand pulling it down.
We sat ourselves at a table, and open our menus.
"So are you going to explain who that bloke is?" Niall asked
"That is Peter" I answer him without looking up from my menu.
"Hello there, glad to see you back so soon Jamie"
I look up to find Peter standing next us. Before I have a chance he is already introducing himself to Louis and Niall shaking their hands.
"Niall! So nice to finally meet you"
"Same here" Niall was being polite.
I exchange looks with Eleanor, both of us not able to do much without causing a scene
"So what are your plans for your time here?" Peter asked them
"Well our lot from school are coming over tomorrow. We're having a belated Christmas party" Louis lat him in on our plans.
Eleanor and my heads turn to him fast trying to catch his eye to make him stop talking before its too late
"Nice, sound like fun" He smiled "Maybe I'll stop by"
"I don't think it is such a good idea" I say
"Why not? You should come! the more the merrier" Louis said not catching on
"Ace! I'll see you there- where are you having it?" Peter smiled a winning smile
"At the Local" Louis said.
"Are you mad?" Eleanor whispers at him harshly when Peter went back to his table
"What?" Louis looked at her confused
"Do you know who that was? It was Peter, Jamie's old boyfriend! Why did you invite him?"
"Oh I didn't know, why didn't you stop me?" He raised his eye brows
"We tried but you blabbered on and on"
"Will it be a problem Jamie?" Niall asked looking at me.
I don't want Peter to come, but I'm afraid stating that out loud will make it seem as if there might still be something there.
"Well why should there be? She's with you now" Louis said, making my mind up for me.
"No . no of course not" I give them a weak smile "The more the merrier right?"
We order our food and the boys start a school related conversation.
"You should have said you don't want him there" Eleanor whispered to me
"And how would that look?" I say miserably to her
"You must stop being so nice to everyone and start speaking your mind Jay" She said
"What is that?" The boys turned to us.
"Nothing" I say. Eleanor gives me a look but keeps quiet.
After lunch we went to the shopping center to kill some time
I helped Niall get some new clothes, and got some new jeans myself.
Eleanor was looking for a dress for new years.
I love going shopping with Niall, finding it much easier, fun and less tiring then shopping with a girl or for myself.
In the evening the four of us went out for a movie and I was glad that for once since I was back home we haven't ran into Peter.

"Hello!! Merry Christmas love!" Perrie gave a big hug and a kiss leaving Zayn to deal with their bags.
"A little help love?" He called out to her
"Niall be dear and go help my slacker of a husband" she kissed his cheek.
"Gosh Perrie I'm so excited you came" I give her another hug blissful that my friends arrived.
"Where are my two favorite girl?" She referred to
El and Louis.
"On their way over.. don’t you know? The ones closer are the ones who are always late" I laugh
"Louie is probably having hair trouble hey?" She winked, turning to hold the door open for the boys.
"Merry Christmas babe" Zayn said passing me to pit the bags down.
"When are Liam and Harry coming over?" He asked rolling his shoulders to get rid of the tension of driving for so many hours.
"On their way.. maybe they should stop at El's first to drop of their bags" Niall said
"Whatever. . They can do that later too" I say, walking them all to the kitchen fetching them some beverages.
As we sat and talked, telling each other about our Christmas eve Eleanor, Louis, Harry and Liam walked in.
"I will never get over the fact that you two just march into each other's homes like this" Liam leaned to give me a hug and kiss "Merry belated Christmas" He said
"You too love, Hello Harry" I gave him a hug.
"So I'm just letting you lot know that Peter Jamie's ex might join the party tonight" Eleanor let them all know.
"How did that come about?" Harry asked
"The twit here invited him" She tapped on Louis's arm.
"I really didn't know" He exclaimed
"Whatever, let it go he probably won't show" I say
"Are you mad?" Perrie turned to Louis, "Why were you even speaking to him in the first place?"
"He said he didn't know, and like Jay said he probably will be a no show" Niall tried stopping them.
"Oh yes he will, Jamie you know he will never give up on a party, especially if he was invited" Eleanor raised an eye brow.
"When are we giving each other presents????" Liam asked changing the subject.
"At the party" Zayn answered.
We had a tradition, each gets one present from the group instead of everyone buying a million presents.
"But what if Peter shows?" Liam wanted to know
"What about it? Because of the presents? I don't really care, he knows he is not part of the group" I shrug
"Gosh I am really excited for the party! It feels as if I haven't seen you lot forever" Perrie clapped her hands in excitement. That put a smile on my face making Eleanor and I laugh, going in for a girls hug.
"I will never get this side of girls" Louis shook his head watching us
"Yeah.. it's beyond me mate" Zayn agreed
"They've been doing it forever" Niall chuckled
"Girls.. you can't live without them, but you'll never understand them" Harry pitched in.
"Aced it, you did" Liam banged on Harry's back, proud.
"SO what do you want to do? Feel like having a rest after the long drive? Refreshing yourselves before the party?" I looked around at my friends, giving them options for how to carry on the day before it's time for our belated Christmas party.
"I would like to lay down for a bit" Zayn said
"My poor baby, he did drive for quite a long time" Perrie kissed his cheek.
"Come on then, let me show you to where you'll be staying" they follow me down stairs to where my parents made a little flat. It had a room with a king size bed, bathroom and a little kitchen bar.
"This is gorgeous" Perrie was looking round.
"Yeah thought you'd like it" I smiled at her "There are towels in there" I point, and shampoo and all over there.. If you need anything let me know"
"Thank you Jamie for having us, this will be so much fun" Perrie gave me another hug
"Blimey you get more cuddles then I do from her" Zayn shook his head smiling
"Jealousy does not become you darling" I give him a little wave climbing back up to our fiends.
"So what about you?" I ask Liam and Harry.
"I'm good, what about you Haz?" Liam turned to him
"I'm quite fine, but let's keep it low key, like, watch a movie or something"
"That could work" Niall agrees with him
"I'm up for a movie too" Louis got up and walked into the living room to look through all of the DVDs we have.
We follow him in and decide on watching 'The sound of music' since there wasn't anything better to see.
Needless to say we were all asleep before the governor came back with his girlfriend.


"Party timeee" Liam walked into the local with a fist in the air.
"Sometimes I mistake him for a girl" Louis whispers into my ear. I giggle and give him a little shove.
We all were wide awake and ready for some fun after our little sleep over on the couch.
We girls put on cute dresses for the occasion and the boys wear button down shirts as we do every year for our Christmas party.
We found a spot with soft and cozy cushion and sat ourselves down with the bag of presents and games Louis put together.
"Hello what would you fancy drinking?" The waiter approached us.
"We'll all have beer please" Louis said since it was part of the tradition- beer for Christmas and wine for New years.
The waiter left to fetch our beverages, while we were talking among ourselves not starting the party until the beer was at the table.
"Here is to year three together, and our new member Harry Styles, may our tradition go on" Louis held up his jug of beer.
"Thank you Louie, here is to friendship, lovely people who I grew to know and love" Harry added
"Here is to us" Liam said his turn
"To many more of these gatherings to come! Blessing is in the bottom" Niall finished
We all clanked our jugs and took a sip from the beer.
I snuggle up to Niall shifting closer to him, happy and calm spending the night with my friends.
"I love you" He whispered in my ear and kissed my neck.
"I love you" I giggled to him.
"Ok ok! Come on! Let's start with game number 1" Louis stands up.
"Here we go" Niall mumbled which made me laugh even louder.
"I heard that- you will be starting Niall" Louis handed over a crown for him to put on his head.
"We will attach a card to the crown which you'll need to guess what is on it" Louis fastened a card with his own name on it.
"We answer his questions with a yes and no answer".
"All right then, is it a human?" Niall asked
"Depends who you ask" Zayn answered, we laughed at that.
"Human! In did a human and a rather dashing one as well" Louis raised his voice to be heard over our laughter.
"What happen to a yes and no answer? And it's Louis" Niall smiled taking the crown off his head.
"How did you know?" Louis asked quite happy with himself
"You know, the moment you said dashing I just knew it, you pretty face" Niall chuckled
"All right who is next? Harry" Louis gave him the crown. The word Harry had was Ariel, which sent all of us in to giggles once more.
"Human?" He asked
"Demon" Eleanor said
"That shouldn't be so hard then- boy or girl?"
"Yes or no answers mate" Liam reminded him
"Is it a female then?" Harry corrected himself
"Yes" We all answered
"Do I know her?"
"Yes"
"Know her as in met her- not famous girl" Harry checked
"Know her as in know her" Perrie answered
"One of you lot?"
"No" I said
"You're cheating" El pointed at him
"It was a yes and no answer I'm doing just fine" Harry pointed back "Is she from school?"
"Yes"
"Is she from my class?"
"NO- we don't know any girls from your class"
"Right, umm… let's see.. from Jamie's class then?"
"Yes" Liam said
"EL you called her a demon- Ariel!" Harry took of the crown to check his card.
"Wow Harry is good" Niall nodded his head impressed
"Na… It was a lot of Eleanor's help.. Demon kind of gave it away" He smiled his dimples showing.
"Ok, Jamie your turn" He put the crown on my head which started a new wave of laughter.
"Is it human?" I asked
"NO" They all answered together laughing
"Why did I get a hard one?" I asked folding my hands
"Come on Jamie" Louis said "Play along
"Is it in this room?" I asked again
"Yes" They shouted
"Is it a piece of clothing?"
"I wish" Perrie touched her heart and her and Eleanor laughed, making Harry for some reason turn a little red in the cheeks.
"Is it part of Harry?" I ask knowing us girls have a weak spot for this lad
"It is!!!" The both sat up excited
"Harry's curls?" I remember El saying she was dying to run her fingers through them
"NO" They made a sad face
"HA!!! Harry's dimples??!?" I stand up
"Yes.. God now we know what you girls talk about when we aren't around" Niall winked at us, watching us girls high five each other happy with ourselves.
"Hi" We all look up to see Peter standing with Damien
"Peter! Come join us" Louis shouted, the alcohol and buzz making him much louder then what he is usually.
"You have a thing for Harry's dimples?" Niall said into my ear, as Peter and Damien sat to talk to our friends.
"But I have a bigger thing for your eyes" I kissed his cheek "And your nose" Another kiss "And your lips" I kiss his lips and smile at him. Turning back to our friends I see Peter watching us. I was happy to know I didn't care for him anymore. I didn't mind him even crashing the party, as long as Niall was by my side.
"Ok whose turn now? Zayn!" Louis gave him the crown
"You playing a game?" Damien asked
"Yes and no game- watch and learn" Zayn said putting the crown to his head and letting Louis fasten a card.
His card was Jamie.
"Human?" He asked
"Yes"
"Female?"
"Yes"
"In this room?"
"Yes"
"Love of my life?" Zayn turned to Perrie
"NO" We answered
"Wait! You want to tell me we aren't the love of your life as well?" Eleanor demanded to know
"You know you are love" Zayn winked at her "SO it is one of you both.. let's see"
"Ask if she has a thing for Harry's dimples" Liam said making us all laugh again. Peter and Damien exchanged looks obviously feeling a little left out.
"I wanted to ask if she's dating blue eyes but that won't work ether" Zayn raised his hands in a 'what will I do' gesture.
"Is it El?" Zayn asked
"No!!!" We all shout
"I feel like we should have a penalty for whoever gets it wrong" I say smirking at him
"I think it's presents time" Liam picks up the bag
"But I have another game" Louis said
"Theyaren't going anywhere love, we'll go back to them later" Eleanor promised him and made him some room next to her.
"First present goes to the new member- Harry" Liam hands over the package.
"Thanks guys" He smiled up at us
"Open it first" I nudge him. Harry opens his present to find inside a beanie, plaid shirt and a laundry punch bag.
"Cool" He smiled picking it up, "So you lot remembered how messy I am".
"And hinting you need some new cloths love" Perrie added
We always make sure that Christmas presents were funny ones.
"Louis, your go" Liam gave him his package.
Louis got a tea cup that said on it off when the mug was cold and on when it was hot, and a new case for his phone since he always breaks it.
Eleanor got a beanie too and a new umbrella, this one was black from the outside and was a blue sky with white clouds from the inside.
Liam got flying model since we always said he should be a pilot, and Zayn got socks and boxers after complaining Perrie always lost the ones he had put in the wash.
Perrie got a pocket mirror and a makeup bag since she doesn't leave the house without one, and Niall got a football with all our signatures on it. I got sleep wear since that is the first thing I put on when I get home. After putting away the presents we started up the games once more, letting Damien go. I excuse myself to the bathroom, thinking it's a good time to go and not miss my friends make fun of themselves.
"Jamie wait up" Peter calls me before I go in
"What do you want?"
"I wanted to tell you, I'm getting engaged" He said. I watch his face, no smile on his face or in his eyes.
"Are you playing me?" I ask him
"No"
I leave him standing and go into the bathroom, I really didn't care about him getting engaged just wondered why would he want to tell me. When I come back out he is still there.
"I won't get engaged if you'll tell me not too"
"What?" MY eyes go wide
"Why would I do such a thing?" I Demand to know
"Jamie we were together for 4 years, we belong with each other, if you tell me not to marry that girl I won't I'll be with you"
"Did you just hear yourself? You're mad! And I'm with Niall! I love him!" I say
"You know deep down inside you love me" Peter comes closer to me
"NO I don't" I say
"Yes! You just don't remember" Peter leans down and kisses me on the lips. I stand shocked for about a second then push him back and slap his face.
"Don't ever touch me again" I yell and turn to walk away. As my eyes move to where I was heading I see Niall standing in front of me, and by the look on his face he had seen enough.
