Remembering Myself
Not So Lucky
*Liam's POV*
"Andie? Andie!? Are you okay?" She just collapsed in my arms, just went limp. I have no idea what to do. My best bet is to go to the village and see if anyone can help her. I quickly picked her up and ran over.
"Help! Someone please help me!" I yelled as I reached the village. There were some people standing around then an elderly man approached me.
"What's wrong?" He asked
"I don't know, we were on a ship yesterday and she fell off during a storm. I jumped in after her and saved her. I found a cave and we spend the night there. When she woke up the next morning she didn't remember ANYTHING. So then we decided that we would explore and we came across this place. We were starting to walk here when she had a flashback then she just passed out. I don't know what to do." I explained to him speaking a million miles an hour.
"Take her here." He led me to a small building. Once we got inside I placed her on a bed and he started to examine her.
"She has a really bad concussion and is severely dehydrated. Other than that she is fine, but I want to keep her here for a little while. I should probably look at you too." He said to me after a few minutes. I agreed and he started to look at me.
"Looks like you are dehydrated as well. Let's get you some water and I want you to drink that all day. Now, please explain to me again how you guys got here, and I would love to know your names."
"My name is Liam and she is Andie, we met the other day. We were on a ship heading for Ireland. Me and her were on the deck just talking. A warning came over the speakers that we were heading for a huge storm and they wanted us to stay in our rooms until it was safe. We were turning to head back to my room when the ship hit a bump or something and she fell off. I turned to see her calling for help in the water. No one was around and she started to drown. I jumped in after her and found her. I quickly swam the best I could to the rocks I saw. I then found a cave where I carried her. After we reached there I think I passed out. The next morning we woke up and she didn't remember anything. She didn't remember her name, who I was, where she was, or what happened. After I told her what I knew, we decided we should go look for water and see exactly what kind of place we were at. After a few minutes we came across this place. When we started walking over she had a flashback. She got really frightened and I gave her a hug, then she just fainted." I explained to him.
"Sounds like you two have been through a lot in the past 24 hours." He told me and I just nodded.
"Well, you are on the Isle of Man. As you can see it's just a small fishing village, but lucky for you, we are here and able to take care of you the best we can."
"Where? I don't think I have ever heard of this place. I can't express how grateful I am. Thank you so much. I don't know what we would have done if we didn't stumble across here."
"It's nothing, you can help repay us by helping around the village once you get better."
"I promise I will do whatever it takes. Do you know if there is any way we would be able to make it back to Ireland soon?"
"No, not soon. We have a ship that comes through once a month to help bring us little supplies we cannot get for ourselves, but that came about 3 days ago. So it seems like you will be here for at least a month." He explained and heartbreak and panic ripped through me. I have my friends and family waiting for me back in Ireland. I have things I need to do. I don't want to seem snobby, but I am Liam Payne. I have songs to write and record, tours to practice for. What I mean is that I don't have time to just disappear for a month. From what I know about Andie, neither does she. She has family that has been expecting her. She also has school she has to get back to.
"Are you alright?" He asked me after a few minutes of me being silent.
"Hmm? Yeah, just thinking. It's a lot to process."
"I understand, take your time. I am going to go get you guys some water and I want you to sleep. There is a bed over there, you can sleep there." He pointed to a bed across from Andie's.
"Thank you." And with that he left the room and left me alone with my thoughts.
