Ana’s POV
My first impression of Zayn is mixed. He pretended to sabotage me, then hit on me in a way Doc used to hit on me. I think I like him as a friend, but I’m also weary of him. I shake my head to clear my thoughts and Harry walks over to me.
“I know I told you that you don’t have to tell me how you got away, but can you tell me why you can’t tell me?” He asks. I have to admit. I’m a bit shocked. It thought Harry didn’t care. I’m also a little angry. Does he think I’m keeping things from him? I know I am but he doesn’t and he has no right to question my integrity.
“Because I don’t want to talk about it!” I yell throwing my hands up in the air. I walk into the kitchen and set my hands on the table. He comes over and places his hand on the small of my back.
“Why not?” He asks calmly. My anger fades when I hear his concerned voice. He’s only trying to make sure I’m okay and that fills my eyes with tears. I turn and bury my face into his chest and sob. He strokes my hair.
“Shhh. It’s okay, Love.”
“I seduced him,” I whisper quietly. He takes my face in his hands.
“I’m sorry but I didn’t hear you,” he says apologetically. I shake my head and laugh.
“Go figure. The biggest secret I have, the hardest thing for me to admit, I say and you don’t hear.” I’m still laughing manically and Harry gets a worried expression on his face. “I seduced him. I went up to him and I had sex with him willingly to get his gun.” I can tell he heard me by how his expression changes. It switches emotions until it settles on concern.
“I’m so sorry you had to do that. I know you thought I would think less of you, but that’s not true. I think you had nothing else to do and it was either have sex with him or stay there until he kills you,” Harry states understandingly. I smile. I don’t know how he gets me so well, but he seems to know exactly what to say and do to make me feel better. I lean back and bring my lips to his. The kiss is short and sweet. “On another note, what do you think of Zayn?” He asks. I laugh. He wants to find out if I’m into him.
“I have a secret to tell you,” I whisper getting close to his ear. I breathe on his neck and his breathing quickens. I smile to myself.
“What’s the secret?” He asks.
“I’m in love with you.” I’m really nervous telling him this. We haven’t known each other long and he might not feel the same way about me. He pulls back sharply and looks me in my eyes. He breaks out in a huge, sloppy grin. He smashes his lips against mine and spins me around against the wall. He breaks from the kiss to grab a breath.
“I love you too.” Those little words make me melt. We spend the rest of the night in a blur of happiness. We make love, get drunk, (I know I don’t drink, but it was actually fun!) then call the boys over for a party. We’re both a little tipsy when they get here, but we don’t care.
“Well you two seemed to have a little fun without us,” Louis says walking in. Brandon shakes his head and grabs himself a glass. I giggle and look at Harry. We look into each other’s eyes for a minute before Niall swings me off into some sort of dance that involves lots of spinning.
“You are my favoritest Ana in the whole world!” He screeches. It seems he had a bit of alcohol too.
“And you are my favoritest Niall in the whole world!” I yell back. We both fall over the coffee table and lay there laughing. Harry comes over and offers his hand to me and I take it. All of a sudden, I feel sick.
“I’m just gonna go to the bathroom,” I say. Time to go puke.
Harry’s POV
I laugh at how easily Ana can get drunk. She really doesn’t know how to hold her liquor. The door opens, and I peek over to see who it is. Liam has no idea he’s not in a secret club and Zayn doesn’t know we’re having a party, but there is Zayn. He walks in and someone comes in after him. I freeze where I am at the sight of the guy we saw in the convenience store. Kyle stares back at me with a smile on his face.
“Nice to meet you.” He says, offering his hand to me. I shake it numbly. I grab Zayn and pull him to the side out of earshot. Louis and Niall have equally blank expressions as I do. Brandon just keeps drinking because he doesn’t know who he is.
“Why did you bring him?” I demand in a whispered voice.
“He’s an old family friend. He can help Ana,” Zayn insists. I want to strangle him.
“Have you told him about her yet?” I ask. If he did then this is all over. Ana will be doomed.
“No. I was going to let her do that.” I sigh in relief. “Where is she anyway?” He asks looking around.
“Not coming out here. Get Kyle out of here. NOW.” I order Zayn. He looks at me confused.
“How did you know his name?” Zayn asks. All of a sudden, he realizes what’s going on. “That’s the Kyle?” He asks. I nod my head slowly. “It can’t be. I’ve known him forever!” His voice raises higher. I quickly shush him.
“It is him. We saw him at the store and Ana froze. Ana isn’t scared of much but she is terrified of him. Now get him out of here.” I see the bathroom door starting to open and I quickly duck into it, shutting the door behind me.
“Hey!” Ana protests. I shake my head and put my finger to her lips. I’ve lost my buzz and Ana can tell something’s wrong.
“What’s going on?” She asks in a whisper. I just shake my head again. I put my ear against the door and wait. After a few minutes someone comes up and knocks.
“He’s gone,” Louis says. I breathe a sigh of relief. I walk out of the bathroom with Ana in tow. Ana looks between the five of us Zayn is still here but it looks like he got Kyle to leave. Nobody is drinking, they’re all just staring at the floor.
