Serving Liam

Let's Be Idiots

“I have to be honest. I don't feel comfortable going back to your hotel. Maybe it's just me, but it feels...trashy."

"Oh no no, you know I don't mean it like that?" Liam didn't want to scare her off.

"I know. I just remember hearing the stories from my mom about my dad. I would still love to hangout with you, I just rather it be at my apartment."

"I only offered my hotel for the room service...and because I didn't want to be seen at your place." After seeing Piper's reaction, he realized that came out wrong. "Because once seen there with pictures floating around, you’d never be left alone…For safety purposes."

Piper grinned at his attempt to fix it. She wasn't demanding an explanation, but he gave her one anyway. The driver reached her apartment building, leaving her unsure whether she blew it or not with Liam. Especially after hearing him tell the chauffeur to wait as he'd be right down.
Thankful for his manners, Liam accompanied her to her door and waited.

"So I guess this is goodnight then?" she lamented.

"Absolutely not! Were you still willing to stay up...with me?"

Piper nodded as she fiddled with the keys in her hands.

"Right, so I'm going to swing by my room and grab some things...Cheese or pepperoni?"

"What? Umm pepperoni?"

"Very we'll then. I'll be right back. Don't go anywhere!"

Piper chuckled at his silly remark then did a little spin after she closed the door. He was coming back and they were going to have a whole thirteen hours to themselves. First she had to get rid of the jitters, reaching in the cupboards to make herself a glass of wine. Then she threw herself on the couch with her phone and did the unthinkable. Searching for videos of One Direction on YouTube, she sipped her wine amused by Liam's lines and appearances.

Liam quickly dodged any female huddles to make it in and out of the hotel unseen. Stuffing his bag with what looked like clean clothes, cologne and a toothbrush. He quickly called his tour manager, Paul, and told him that he'd be on time for sound check tomorrow. Unfortunately, the kitchen was closed.

Thirty minutes had flown by, distracted by the substitute, Piper almost didn't hear the subtle knock on the door. She skipped barefoot and let the boy in. Escaping a laugh as Liam wore a gym bag over his shoulder, holding a grocery bag and small bouquet of flowers. With a cheesy smile he waddled into the kitchen.

"What is this?" Piper asked surprised.

"A romantic gesture...I'm going to serve you tonight," he flashed his pearly whites.

Piper stood back and watched as he heated the oven and ripped out the frozen pizza from its box. Searching in the cabinets he found a glass vase and filled it with water for the flowers. Lastly, he placed the small frosted cake in the fridge with the six pack of Coke. Moving around like if it were his own place, Piper wished that were only true. But as she fell in love with the idea, she remembered that this was probably a one-time thing. He had to leave soon, so there was no sense in getting too attached.

"Are you impressed?"

"I'm very impressed...the more I'm with you."

"While you were being honest earlier, I'd like to take a shot by saying that the kiss earlier today was-was unbelievable! I'll never forget it."

"I'll share one more thing with you..." Liam leaned in to listen. "Later."

"What? You can't do that! Bloody hell!"

Piper began laughing. He was such a kid at heart, obviously younger and it showed with the way he hung out with his friends. That was fine, but it only confirmed the idea that he couldn't handle a relationship with his flashy career. Any excuse would do to convince herself out of the feelings she had for him.

Wanting to believe it was no big deal, Liam still couldn't get her out of his mind. Even after the first time they met, he thought of her often; single or not. For once he wanted to live in the moment and not worry about tomorrow. And in this moment the pizza was done.

They moved to the living room, watching a horror film that seemed more funnier than scary as they ate their pizza. Piper didn't notice how Liam was constantly watching her. Her every bite, sip, laugh and squirm. When she'd look back at him, his chest would grow tight and release once the eye contact was broken. Not knowing why it was taking him so long to kiss her again.

Stuffed, they laid against the backrest growing lazier by the second. Piper stood up to walk to her open bedroom and took out two articles of clothing from the drawer. Liam's vision followed her around the apartment, eyes widening while she slipped out of her white pants. Although her back was to him, he could still admire her bare silhouette and adorned underwear. Removing her top, Liam's jaw dropped witnessing she had nothing underneath. His imagination was scrambling to finish the blanks, not able to see her completely and wanting to remain discreet.

Effortlessly slipping into a pair of shorts and tank top, she sighed, now more relaxed than before. When Piper turned around she saw Liam turn his head immediately, appearing innocent. She didn't mean to tease him, but she felt comfortable around him. Humming softly she walked around to plop herself next to his side; watching him gulp and blush.

"You look like you've seen a ghost," she grinned maliciously.

Liam's eyes turned to her, weakened by lust. He wanted her more than ever now; her frame, face, mind and heart. It scared him that it no longer felt light and bubbly but torturous to be this close without touching her. Feeling a glimpse of that obsession and wild spirit, a lot like his fans reacted around him. Sure he looked calm, but inwardly, he felt as though his emotions had taken human form and wanted to tear through his skin.

Piper read his stare and knew what this night really had planned for them. She was ready to be entranced by this charming foreigner. But here she sat comfy while he still had his stiff clothes.

"Don't you want to change?"

Liam nodded and snatched his bag without saying a word. Following her example, he changed right In front of her; observing her move into the kitchen from the corner of his eye. He remembered the cake and happily fetched it from the fridge. Searching for a fork, Piper cleverly had one in her hand and handed it to him. Opening the container, he fed her the first bite. Piper lifted herself to the counter as they continued to share the chocolate dessert.

With each bite, he'd remove the fork from her mouth ever so slowly, hypnotized by the chocolate and her lips. On the last one he quickly leaned in to lick off a drop of chocolate from her lower lip. Piper tugged him by the shirt where he automatically fell upon the target.
Releasing all objects, euphoria hit him as he experienced the flavorful kiss. His hands fell lifelessly on her thighs, slowly regaining feeling from the touch of her warm skin. Piper kissed him with such ease leaving Liam's head swirling. Something else was taking over, possessing him in every inviting way. He only hoped he'd read the signs right.

Liam's hands slid to Piper's backside where he pulled her in closer, lifting her even. Crossing her legs around him while holding his neck, he carried her out; raising her higher without interrupting the kiss. Meaning to place her on the bed, Piper pulled him down with her so that they both fell. Laughing, but not letting it interfere with the moment, Liam laid on his side and began caressing Piper's face.

"You make me feel different," he smiled affectionately.

"I have a silly confession. When I see you with your friends and living this glamorous life, I think you're just a silly kid. But when you kiss me...I'm convinced otherwise."

"I suppose you are right, I am a kid . . . loving my job. But I can’t help that you make me feel different…manlier I guess."

"How do you really feel?" she asked curiously delicately touching his chin.

"Like I never want to leave your side…and it makes me nervous. What's going to happen when I have to leave in a couple of days?"

Piper snuggled next to Liam, trying to comfort him.

"I’m nervous too, but let’s not think about it right now," she was glad she wasn't the only one.

Liam wrapped an arm around her as they laid in bed. Nestled on his bicep, Piper gazed at his heavy eyelids and permanent grin. Carefully slipping away, she got up to turn the TV off and pick up a few things. Glancing over at the five foot ten sleeping beauty; hard to believe thousands of girls wanted him and there he was in her bedroom.

The night didn't turn out like she had envisioned but she still had him for ten more hours, even if he was asleep. Gulping down a glass of water in the dark, about to turn her bedroom light off, she jumped at Liam's touch. He was standing behind her shirtless and awake.

"You startled me. Weren't you supposed to be asleep?"

"I was merely resting my eyes. A power-nap if you will," Liam slithered his arms around her hips and dragged her back to the bed.

Managing to free herself for an instant to turn off the lamp, she climbed into bed.

"If we're going to bed than I must warn you…I sleep naked," Liam smiled.

Hearing her whisper a smile, Piper placed her hot hands upon his chest, instantly feeling her heat penetrate through his skin. Eyes not fully adjusted to the darkness, her scent led him towards her neck. Smelling her from the curve of her shoulder up to her ear and playfully tracing the outlines of her body as his eyesight eventually returned. Every sense within him yearned to move forward but his conscience screamed for him to yield.

"Piper I can't do this..."

"Oh?" She choked and slowly removed a hand.

Liam caught it and held her hand back down on his chest as he continued to explain, "I can't do the meaningless hook-up, it's just not me. You have to believe me when I say that I like you more than a lot.”

“I do too,” she whispered. “It doesn’t make sense in my head, but I do.”

“I just need to know, can we find a way to make this work?”

Piper sat down for a second. How were they supposed to make this work exactly? She was obviously wrong about this being a casual one-time thing. But maybe the best solution, and the hardest, would be not to sleep together.

“Liam, I…don’t know if we can; if it were only that simple.”

“Then I’m going to take the sofa.”

Making this one exception, Liam took to the couch with his shorts on, frustrated as can be. Unclear whether he was mad at the situation, traveling so much and not being able to sustain a healthy relationship, or mad at himself for listening to his conscience. It was close to 3 o’clock in the morning. He should have been sleeping by now on a regular night but tonight was supposed to be all about Piper and not his stubbornness.

Piper laid wide awake. Forcing herself to face the opposite direction, when in reality she wanted to be face to face. Regretting the truth that came spewing out, but she couldn’t lie to him. She knew the outcome, her parents were proof; his ex-girlfriend was proof. Still, the invisible force pulling them together could not be severed.

There was a creak on the floor. The clock read 3:34 am. Sluggish feet pounding on the floor when Piper soon felt the bed dip, a heavy body laid alongside her. A weighty arm wrapped around her hip as she felt his forehead rest upon her shoulder.

“I’m sorry for being such an idiot.”

Piper turned on her back and gazed into Liam’s sleepy black eyes. He was tired but unable to let this go. He slid his hand up to her cheek and lowered his head to plant an apology kiss. Feeling her hand reach behind his head and pushing him deeper, he rested his hand back on her hip.

Heavy-eyed but not enough to prevent him from kissing her, he refused to stop till the sun came up. Piper welcomed whatever amount of affection he wanted to give her. It didn’t take long for their kiss to regain its strength needed to awaken the two.

Liam held firmly to her waist, caressing her stomach with his thumb as it yearned to wander off. His steady pace broke as his tongue swirled enchantingly in her mouth. Tiny moans escalated along with the temperature of the room, or so it seemed.

His hand began to travel to and fro, up her back and around her stomach. Having lost all notion of space and time, their sensual kisses and fondling turned into a magical and intimate hour. Leaving the two bare and exhausted. Liam then cuddled behind Piper, soon both sound asleep.
