We first made eye contact in the stands at a football game, he helped out the drill team girls, and I was in the marching band. My path was suddenly obstructed by twenty screaming fans as we made a touchdown, which was a rarity for our school to score any points. He turned and looked at me, and we stared at each other for a moment before he laughed and retrieved me from my cowering position on the other side of the adoring fans, making sure to place his hand on my back to lead me back to where the drum line where finishing our fight song.
The rest of the game, we kept looking at each other, then he’d wink at me, causing me to blush.
“Hey!” someone yelled behind me as I headed back up toward the band hall after the game was over. I turned around to see him running up behind me. My heart began to flutter.
“Hi!” I smiled at up at him.
“What is your name?” he asked me.
“Kayelee,” I said as I shifted my cymbals in my hands, “What is yours?”
“Harrison,” he smiled back down at me. His beautiful smile made my heart melt, “can I have your number? You are very pretty, and I want to talk to you some more?” he handed me his phone, and I typed in my name and number before handing it back to him. He smiled at me again before he had to run and help with the drill team.
I smiled the entire way to the band hall. Once I was all packed and ready to head home, I felt my phone vibrate.

My entire face lit up in excitement. Guys like him don’t usually show any interest in me, so this was nice.

Hey!*
Since it was after a game, we didn’t get to talk very long before I passed out, but Harrison was the last thing I thought of as I fell asleep.
