“How may I help you two ladies?” The waitress asked Ajla and Jasmine at their table.
The waitress kept sweeping her long jet black hair out of her face, as her red nails seeped into her lips, waiting for their responses. And she constantly kept feeling the smoothness of her olive skin.
Jasmine ordered and then she glanced at Ajla, waiting for her answer. She didn’t respond. Her gaze was so dazed that it took the waitress five times to ask repeatedly what Ajla wanted.

“Um, Miss? You okay?” the waitress asked worriedly as she waved the serving tray in front of Ajla’s face, looking around for assistance.

She finally snapped back in reality, confused by the waitress staring straight at her, and Jasmine leaning across the table holding on to her face. They saw that Ajla was okay, so Jasmine slid back to her seat, twiddling her fingers in impatience as the waitress was still over towering her, requesting for and order.

“Oh! Sorry! I was just thinking!” Ajla excused herself as she hid her face behind the menu, embarrassed.

“Damn, just order already!” Jasmine smirked as she looked up from her phone.

As Ajla was ordering, Jasmine locked her eyes on Ajla’s face. She still saw the scar on her lip from what happened almost seven years ago, which made her shiver. Harry has always said that it was her fault, and she believed it the whole time and still does, which is why Jasmine has refused to seen Ajla.
Trying to change her subject, she started texting Niall while Ajla was still chatting with the waitress.
Babe, Harry’s bdays in a couple weeks… should we get him something? Xx She texted to Niall as she waited for a response.
She squirmed in her seat as she felt the vibration of her phone in her lap.
Nah. Harry would ask us if he did so no. PLEASE whatever you do, stay away from Ajla. He’s pretty pissed at you right now. Niall texted her.
Jasmine as offended by the text, which made her toss her phone in her purse, without replying. She crossed her arms while tapping her foot impatiently, until Ajla finally finished. She looked over at Jasmine.

“So sorry! She’s just an old friend.” Ajla apologized as she placed her elbows on the table, holding up her face with her hands.

Jasmine rubbed it off, and they giggled. But then within minutes the table was silent. Ajla wanted to ask her friend so many questions, including with her new love life with Niall. But suddenly her phone rang, it was Harry. She looked at Jasmine for a response, and she waved her hand to let her go.
She got up and her body tensed up when the chair squealed against the floor as she pushed it in, and hurriedly grabbed her phone from her jacket and answered it.
“Hello?” She mumbled into the phone, trying to keep her voice down in the restaurant.

“Ajla!! Where the hell are you?! It’s been almost two hours! Ethan is crying for you and I can’t calm him down!” Harry’s voice roared loudly as Ajla placed her hand onto the speaker, trying to keep anyone from noticing.

She was aggravated that her afternoon had to end with her end, but then again she realized that they were adults and no longer teenagers that had a free day. She kept telling herself that she had a family to go to.
She hung up the phone and turned to go back to her table to grab her bill. But when she came back to the table, Jasmine and all of both of their belongings were gone.

Sorry if Chapter V isn't that great. I rushed through it because I got some messages on when the next chapters will be up. I'm working on Chapter VI right as I speak. Or type. idk.
