I just sighed at the headlines that read all over the internet. I'm extremely happy that I am Niall's girlfriend, this attention is just really weird. It is going to take a while getting used to having everyone talk about me. I only have a few days left here in California before I have to go home and Niall wanted to spend as much time together as we can, and I am not complaining!
"Hey, Mads, you ready to go?" Niall said coming up behind me.
"Yeah, let's go!" I said putting a smile on my face. I had a feeling Niall could see right through it, but he didn't say anything which I was thankful for. We grabbed my hand and pulled me in closer to him. I really liked being able to feel his warmth right against me. It made me feel safe, protected.
"Niall, what are we going to do when I have to go back home?" I asked after a few minutes of walking. We were just walking around on the beach today, well at least for now.
"Don't, let's not talk about that now. Let's just enjoy the time we have together now. We will talk about that later. We still have 5 days together, so let's not spend those sad or anything. We are here now and that's all that matters."
"I have one question for you, do you always know what to say?" I asked as he smiled and laughed a little.
"I am pretty good at that."
"Yes, yes you are." I said smiling up at him while he gave me a quick peck on the lips.
"Um, sorry to bother you, but you two are our OTP and we were wondering if we could get a picture with you two?" Someone asked as a group of three girls walked up to us. To me, this was very new to me, I wasn't used to people coming up to me and asking me to take a photo with me. For Niall, however, this was just another Tuesday. Niall quickly shot me a look to see if I was okay with it.
"Uh, sure." I said with a smile on my face showing him that I am okay with it. They quickly asked someone to take the photo for them and they came and stood by our sides. Two of them were on either end, and another was between us. We quickly took a photo and they thanked us and went on their way.
"Well that was something new." I said to him as soon as the girls walked off.
"Yeah, you uh, you get used to it." He said sounding apologetic.
"I guess so. It's just kind of funny that people are asking me to take photos with them. It's my…. 10 minutes of fame." I said explaining to him laughing a little. I do feel a little famous, and I guess having Niall as my boyfriend makes me somewhat famous.
"Well I'm glad! So, I'm getting kind of hungry. Wanna go grab a bite?"
"Sure" We then walked over to a small shack that sold hamburgers and hotdogs. Niall ordered a cheese burger and I got a hamburger. We sat down in a booth and ate our food. The whole time that we were eating, I could see people staring at us the whole time. It was really uncomfortable at first, but then I decided I should just brush it off. I'm still trying to get used to all of this. It's going to take a while, but Niall is worth it.
"Hey babe, you okay?"
"Yeah, it's just… still going to take me a little while to get used to… this." I said gesturing to everyone staring at us, "but it's okay, I understand and one day I will get used to it."
"I know how you feel. The first time I went out with the boys and had all the paparazzi following us and everyone looking at us, it was really weird. As sad as it sounds, it eventually just becomes normal. I'm so sorry, I really didn't want you to have this happen to you. I feel so bad-"
"Niall," I quickly cut him off, "quit apologizing about all this. I knew that this was something that was going to come with dating you, and you are worth it, every second of it, everything." I said meaning every word. If I didn't care for Niall as much as I do, I wouldn't have agreed to go out with him. He is part of one of the biggest boy bands of the world right now, it's going to happen… a lot.
"Are you sure?" He asked unsure if I was really meaning all I was telling him.
"Niall, yes! Of course I am! Trust me."
"Okay, I believe you. But if you have any problems with it, at any time, you have to tell me, deal?"
"Deal." I said as we got up to leave. Once we got out on the street, we could see tons of girls standing around and walking over to where we were.
"There they are!" Someone yelled at us pointing, they all started rushing over to us.
"Alright, time to run!" He said turning to me grabbing my hand and we had to run away. I never thought I would be running from screaming fangirls...
