Votes/Rates
Different from content rating, rates are what you think a story should be on a scale from 1-10. The rating of your story averages out into decimal points if ratings vary. If your story is new, your rating doesn't show until at least three people have rated your story.
How you do this:
For those of you who haven't figured this out, here's how you rate a story. First of all, you have to create an account. On the right side of the screen under 'author' and 'stats', you'll see a box that says 'Rate this story:' and below the words there are ten gray stars. You simply scroll you mouse over whichever star amount you're rating the story (10 being that best, 1 being the worst) and click it. You'll notice that the Stats box disappears when you do this. It's completely normal. Every time you go back into the story, the rate you've given will show the stars in gold.
What to do:
Rate the story by plot/storyline, grammar, spelling, punctuation.
What not to do:
Whatever you do, do NOT rate someone's story poorly just because you're jealous of their story. If you don't have anything nice to rate, don't rate the story at all.
You can always go back and change your rating, and yes, you can rate your own story.

Hi! I don't normally do this but I'm just gonna get right on it.
