Riley's POV:

Finally it's Friday, and everything still feels foreign. I'm walking into school side by side with Dixie, Perrie and Zayn... without Harry. I know this isn't something I should feel weird about, but I just do.

I think I'm happy, I mean Dixie understands everything about the whole Harry/Seth situation and Perrie and her seem to get on fine... But there's something inside me that feels unfulfilled, like this is everything that I want but it's not enough. In my heart I miss Harry's hand in mine, the kisses we would share, even the confidence he would give me walking into the building, but at the same time my mind is screaming 'he's a bad idea.'

So I remember I'm better off, and so is he.

"Riley, are you sitting with me today?" Dixie asks, unlinking our arms and opening her locker.

"I can't, I promised Liam I would help him with our history homework!" I sigh, and she gives me a smile.

"I'll come if you want?" She suggests, and I feel a little been guilty. Niall, Louis and Liam are pretty annoyed at me for making up with Dixie, but I honestly think they're just saying what they think Harry would.

"You don't have to, I'll see you last period in Anatomy?" I suggest, and she nods with a smile while walking in the other direction.



After the first three classes, I'm totally bored out of my mind. When I arrive at English, I step inside and notice that the teacher is changing seats.

"In the back left we have new guy, ex captain and hockey boy..." Mr. Michaels announces, and I roll my eyes. Seriously? I have to fucking sit next to Seth? The only plus side I can find in this is that Danny Bright and I are pretty tight, well we used to be.

"Hi Riley." Seth smiles, and I slide into the seat next to him.

"Hey Ri, long time no see?" Danny gives me a warmer smile and pulls out the chair to sit beside me.

"Hey Danny!" I giggle, sliding in beside him, I guess we're pretty good friends after all.

"You look great... New clothes?" He asks, admiring my sudden change in attire... thanks to Dixie bringing me back to how I used to dress.

"Old clothes." I wink, and he nods with another smile.

"Does this mean you're single?" He asks, and I suddenly feel Seth's eyeing me. Am I single?

"Umm," I stammer nervously, "I guess you could say so." I smile, and at the same time I glare at Seth. Fucking tool, smirking at me.

"Well since you're back to your old self which I'm totally happy about," he teases me, shaking my shoulders around lazily, "I'd like to invite you and your friends to the hockey party tonight... it's gonna be the craziest one yet." He smirks, and I can't help but have a genuinely huge smile plastered across my face.

"Alright, does Dixie know?" I ask, and he let's out a laugh.

"Please don't bring Dixie... by friends I meant those guys you sit with at lunch, Liam and Niall are pretty chill and Louis' hilarious. Zayn's always welcome and so is his bird." He suggests and I almost squeal with excitement.

"I'm bringing Dixie," I laugh and so does he, "but thanks."

"Eyes up front, Danny, Seth and Riley!" Mr. Michael's voice booms through the room, and the three of us laugh... not that Seth had anything to do with the conversation whatsoever.

So for the first time in maybe two months, I just got invited to a party, and not even one in another town or from Nick and Cody... a fucking hockey party. The best part is, the biggest hockey player invited me, so it's a win win! I can feel my old self coming back and I love it... Harry Who?

Harry's POV:

"I don't have an anger problem, this is stupid and I'm not doing it." I spit to my mother through gritted teeth.

"Harry! I don't know what you want me to do. You're not in school for another 5 days, you're moping around the house like a child, and I can't remember the last time I've seen you like this!"

"I'm completely fine mom, I'm fine!" I screamed back, slamming the bathroom door, locking it and turning on the shower water.

I don't need 'therapy' or 'help' because all I need is Riley. All I see when I wake up, when I walk down the stairs, even when I'm sleeping is Riley. I fucked up, I should have been up front about everything when I first met her or I should have protected her better... I'm just a fuck up.

I scroll through my phone to look for some sad music to ease the pain, so I start off with Fall Out Boy and let it go from there. When I start undressing and put a foot inside, I get a text from Louis.

Louis: Party tonight at that hockey players house... Danny Bright?
Me: How the hell did you of all people get invited to a party at his house?
Louis: I didn't get invited, Riley did... he's pretty interested in her from what she gushed about over lunch.

My fists clench into balls when I even think about Riley flirting with another boy, and one that's not even Nick. It's not like she went back with her ex, or even went for Seth to spite me, she's getting around with a completely different guy.

Me: Are you sure about this?
Louis: 'He's so cute, he really invited me, can you believe it?! I'm so happy!' blah blah blah
Me: I'll be there... pick me up?
Louis: Will do! Should I tell Riley you're going?
Me: No, I've got this under control.

I'm never gonna let my girl get hurt again, and I'm gonna get her back... the only question is, how the fuck am I going to do that?
