Chapter 19
Riley's POV:
Two Weeks Later:
It's been two weeks and my life has slowly become... unexplainable?
For starters, Dixie and I are barely on speaking terms since Harry and I went public.... I wouldn't call it dating because we don't go on dates, but our tongues touch often so I think it's pretty obvious that there's something going on between us.
Zayn still barely speaks to me, but the other boys and I have become sort of close. I've learned to ignore their dirty comments towards me, and Perrie and I have actually become pretty good friends. I sit with them at lunch now, because those pictures on the high school's website made me lose tons of friends.
Oddly enough, Chris and Nick have both become more friendly over the past two weeks. Maybe it's because they're worried, but they have no reason to me. So what if I miss a few football games or maybe some morning classes, I'm doing me.
"Riley, get out of bed! You're gonna be late again!" My mom shouted, breaking me from my thoughts. I've slowly grown to hate school these last two months too. "Anne says Harry needs a ride, so don't forget to pick him up." She called, making me smile. Our parents' friendship is absolutely beautiful.
"Wanna skip third and get lunch?" I asked as soon as Harry hopped into the car. I still like to plan ahead, clearly.
"We have an Anatomy test today, I can't miss again." He groaned. "But if you really want to, we can." He gave me a cheeky smile.
"No you're right, I have to take it too." I laughed realizing he was right.
The rest of the car ride was short and sweet, we mostly made fun of the dance girls who give me dirty looks everyday at lunch. Sucks that I'm the captain of the team still and they can't do anything about it.
Lunch Time:
"I bombed that test. Completely bombed it." Niall sneered as we entered the lunch room. I rolled my eyes and plopped myself down between Louis and Liam.
"Hi Ri." They said in unison.
"Hey guys, what's up?" I asked pulling out my salad and water bottle.
"There's a halloween party in our old town tomorrow night, we're planning on heading over." Liam smiles.
"Can I come?!" I asked excitedly. Last time I was there it sucked and that dick Seth tried to drug me, but Harry told me not to worry about those guys... So I'm not.
"Come where?" Harry says curiously, taking a seat across the table.
"The party tomorrow night, where else?" Louis cheered.
"No." Harry replies immediately.
"Harry! You're not the boss of me!!" I whined, slamming my hands down on the table. "Liam, tell Harry I can make my own decisions." I said through my gritted teeth.
"Umm..."
"Don't do it Liam." Harry shook his head.
"She can go if she wants! I'll watch her the whole time." Louis smirked and high-fived me.
"Seeeeeeeee, Louis thinks it's ok! And Perrie will be there, right Zayn?" I chuckled and gave Zayn and glaring look.
"Yeah." He grumbled.
"Fine. If something happens, it's on all of you." Harry scoffs.
"And by the way, it's a Halloween party so dress appropriately." Liam teased, and I rolled my eyes.
"Pigs. All of you are pigs." I smiled brightly.
