Riley's POV:

Practice was brutal, not because of the routine but because of all the questions I got about me and Harry. Nobody can mind their own business anymore, and everyone is so judgmental. I got home and I took a hot shower trying to wash away all of the worry about my reputation-- but no such luck. After eating dinner and doing my homework, it was around 11 o'clock... I guess I'll call Harry now. I dialed his number and he quickly answered.

"Hello love." he said. I glanced out my window and saw him sitting near his, looking out at might. "I can see you." I could hear him smirking on the other end.

"I can see you too." I laughed waving my hand at him. "So let's talk about the pictures." I sighed.

"What about them?" He asked.

"Let's start with why someone would be following you and taking them?" I said rather rudely. Whatever, I want answers.

"It doesn't matter, I'll take care of them. You don't need to worry about it." He said calmly.

"Ughhhhhhh." I groaned into the phone. "I'm stressed now." I pouted plopping down on my bed.

"Why do you care so much what people think? If you didn't care, this wouldn't be a big deal." He said. I guess he has a point.... "And don't deny that you weren't having a good time in both those pictures. Face it, you've been having a better time with me these past few days that you have your whole high school career." He laughed.

"Harryyyyyy." I let out a big breath. "I hate you." I said with major annoyance.

"Don't hate me because I'm right."

"Well I do."

"So you admit I'm right." he said.

"You're so annoying. I don't even care what people think that much." I lied.

"Prove it." He laughed. "Sit at my lunch table tomorrow, and then I'll believe you that you don't care what people think." He challenged me.

"That won't look--" I heard him laughing on the other end. "Fine. I'll sit with you and your little gang members tomorrow to show you I don't give a shit what people think." I growled hanging up the phone. I screamed at my phone and tossed it across the room. This is going to sound so weird, but I'm smiling right now. Why did that just make me so happy? Maybe I just like a challenge... yeah that's probably it.

The next day at lunch I immediately snuck over to Harry's table and put my bag down before they all got there. Maybe if they see me sitting here by myself they won't sit dow--

"I didn't think you'd actually sit here. Hi love." Louis said sliding down next to me. Shit. I smiled softly and straightened my outfit out nervously. Shortly after Louis sat down, Niall Liam and Harry joined him.

"Awww you made it." Harry smirked sitting across from me. I stuck out my tongue and let out a little laugh. "Is this so bad?" He laughed. I rolled my eyes and shook my head.

"It's alright--" I was cut off by Nick and Cody standing behind me. Fuck.

"Ri...What are you doing?" Cody asked crouching down beside me. I looked up at Nick who had the same worried look on his face.

"She's sitting with her friends at lunch. Problem?" Louis asked putting his arm around me.

"You wanna make a problem?" Nick chimed in. Liam whipped out a pocket knife and smirked and Nick rolled up his sleeves ready to take a swing. I was about to stand up in between them when someone did it before me.

"Enough." Zayn said to Cody and Nick. "What the hell are you doing over here Riley?" He asked slamming down his lunch tray and shaking his head at Liam. I stuttered nervously and realized that the rest of the lunch room was looking over at us. My face turned dark red and my mouth went dry. What am I doing?

"She's sitting here today. Why's that such a bloody big deal?!" Harry asked shouting loudly enough for everyone to turn their heads at us. Nick walked away in disgust and Cody slid in next to me.

"Mind if I join?" He asked patting my back. Before I could respond, Dixie sat next to Niall on the other side of the bench.

"Me too?" She laughed. What the hell is happening?

"Whatever you want." Harry said. "And for the rest of you, mind your own bloody business alright?" He screamed out to all the staring faces. I could hear my name being whispered through the crowds of people in the lunch room and I was still blushing, but things felt a little better now because Cody and Dixie were being the good friends I know they are.

Lunch was awkward to say the least, with Niall flirting Dixie like there's no tomorrow and Cody and Zayn trying to make conversation. I could tell how badly Zayn missed Cody but it was just too weird now. Harry would occasionally smirk at me and I would look away or play with my sleeves to keep myself from smiling back.

"So who wants to go to a real party in our old town Friday night?" Louis asked. Harry's eyes went dark and he shook his head no, which made me more tempted to say yes.

"I think Cody, Dixie and I would like to come." I smiled. Harry stood up and got away from the table, only making me smile more.

"We would?!" Dixie choked out. I felt Cody glaring at me and Dixie's eyes were bulging out of here head.

"We would." I insisted. See? I can stop caring what people think if I want to.

But maybe I'm taking this a little too far? Fuck it.

hi guys! sorry i haven't gotten an update in for a few days... i've been so busy, let me explain myself;
friday i was going to but i had to go out to dinner,
saturday i was going to but ended up going out to a party and getting drunk so i dont think you guys wanted a half assed drunken update did you? lol
and today im updating! but i might not be for a few days because i really hurt my head in rehearsal today and i'm kinda out of it, but since i had most of this chapter done i just finished really quickly.
