Chapter 6
I went to the bathroom and heard Harry on the phone with someone. Me, being the nosy person I am, could not resist on eavesdropping.
"Amie? This is Harry. I'm a friend of Anna's. I need you to do me a favor ok?" I heard him say.
I wonder if its my Amie? Well obviously he introduced himself as 'Anna's friend' so I'm just guessing here that it's my Amie.
He said something else but I couldn't make it out.
I walked out of the bathroom just in time to hear him say "don't tell Anna." Like really? Your smart aren't you Harold? Silly boy.
"Why do you have my phone?" I asked raising an eye brow.
"Oh umm I-I was just umm erm um" I watched trying to stifle my laugh as he groped for an answer, " I was just looking at it. I suppose." His face turned a light pink.
"You suppose? So you're not sure?" I said with a smirk tugging on my face. he furrowed his eyebrows seeing that I was just messing around with him now.
"You're just messing with me now." He said stomping his foot playfully.
"I know! I honestly don't care if you had my phone or that you wanted a favor from my best friend, but in all honesty Harold, secrets are not fun unless to know how to properly pull one off!" I said walking into the kitchen. He stood there his eyes wide and his cheeks pink, completely stunned that I had just found out what he was doing.
"Now granted, I couldn't hear what you had asked of her, but I did hear " Amie? I need you to do me a favor." And! And "oh and don't tell Anna!" It was quite hilarious how you thought I couldn't hear you. Silly Harry. You can't keep a secret from me. Just letting you know that now!" I said in a low voice as I quoted him and obviously my normal voice as I talked.
he thought for a moment.
"so you can like.. Read minds? Or is that not a thing yet?" He asked.
"Harry, I can communicate with spirit, not read minds." I said and took an apple from the basket and walked back into the living room.
"So what do you wanna do?" he asked following me into the living room.
"We'll... I could interrogate you and ask you what you were talking about with Amie... We could go do something that does NOT involve ghost towns!" I stated making it clear that I didn't want to go to a ghost town. "We could... Oh! Wait! I have work! We can't do anything. My shift starts at 2. Sorry."
"It's ok. I'll drive you." Harry offered giving me a smile.
"Ok thanks." I checked the time and its 1:00.
I've got a half hour because it takes 30 minuets just to drive there.
*****2 o'clock******
We were about 5 minuets away and Harry wouldn't shut up.
"So Anna Anna Anna Anna Anna Anna Anna Nana- HA!!!! I said NANA! That's not your name. Silly harry" he scolded himself.
"What do you do? For a job? What's your job? How do you make a steady income-
"OH MY GOD!!!! I'm an author Harry! I write books for a local library and songs for a record studio downtown. I draw too, little." I said getting quiet.
"Aww AnnaBananna! I didn't know you wrote that's so!... Actually that's really cool. When did you start writing?" I snapped my head to him at my new nickname.
"Don't call me that BooBear... Ever. And I always have. I hadn't started songwriting till... I was... 16? I've always written story though. Mainly fiction and romances and such... We're here." I said as we pulled into the parking lot.
"BooBears Louis" he mumbled as I got out.
"Bye Harry thanks for the ride!" I said.
"Bye love see you later. I'll pick you up." Her said as I closed the door.
