Tests
HARRY’S POV
The rest of the night crept by without incident. She slept through the night without another horrid nightmare. I stayed up as long as I could to comfort her, but I soon found myself dozing off…
A few weeks went by without another problem, then I woke up one morning in a lonely bed. I sprung out of bed and hurried into the similarly empty hall. I found Aspen passed out on the bathroom floor. I assumed she’d been throwing up again. The door was slightly ajar, as if she had attempted to close it while she was emptying the contents of her already empty stomach into the toilet.
I quietly pushed the door open, she stirred. She sat up, and looked at me, smiled, then started throwing up again. I held her hair back like I always do, but I was really starting to get worried. Why is she getting so sick this early in the morning, but then is perfectly fine by daybreak?
“You need to see a doctor, baby,” I told her when she stopped throwing up.
“I know,” she groaned, and leaned her head on my leg.

We went to the hospital, because the doctor’s office isn’t open on Saturday. Aspen sat on the table nervously as we waited to be seen by the doctor. The door slid open. A fairly young looking man with shaggy brown hair stepped into the room.
“Hello Miss Shadows, I’m Dr. Dawson. It says here that you’ve been vomiting early in the mornings? Anything else I should know about?” she thought about it for a moment.
“Some cramping, fatigue, and back pain,” she started swinging her legs as he wrote that down on her chart.
“Well, I’ll have to do some tests to be able to diagnose you. I’ll get a nurse to come draw some blood, and I’m also going to need a urine sample, is that alright?” she nodded, and he left. She looked at me and smiled reassuringly, I was feeling a little anxious.
The nurse came and took her blood, then she led her out of the room to do her urine sample. When she came back into the room, we sat in silence until the doctor came back into the room.
“Well, your test results came back. Your blood work was normal,” he looked down at his clipboard and flipped a page.
“Did you find anything wrong with me at all?” she was getting anxious as well.
“We did find something,” he started.
