Heartbreaker

Chapter 2

HARRY

I woke because of an ache on my face, my cheeks to be more specific. I'd actually fell to sleep with a smile on my face and woke up with it still there — it must be the affect a good dream has on a person.

I looked down my nose and saw Morgan sleeping peacefully with her face nuzzled into my chest and her left leg hooked over mine like she usually did. I found myself grinning at her cuteness and eventually letting out a small chuckle after hearing her soft snores — everything about her was adorable.

Turning my head to the left where I knew her alarm clock was, I read the time to be just past one in the afternoon and I was freaking starving. Sliding her legs from me and removing my arm from around her shoulders, I slid from the edge of the bed and placed her head gently on the pillow previously beneath mine.

She stirred a little and scrunched up her face as I pecked her nose. Smiling lopsidedly at her cuteness, I silently made my way from her bedroom and down the stairs into the pristine kitchen her mom always took so much pride in.

"Food..." I sighed happily when I opened the refrigerator to find it packed full of delicious, well, food — obviously. Picking out some cold turkey and a tub of butter, I swayed to the cutting board and pulled out two pieces of white bread to make the only thing I could really make.

"Harry, bro, what's up?" I heard the tired voice of her older brother, Niall appear behind me. Sucking the butter from my thumb, I span around and sent him a friendly nod as I put away the things I'd retrieved — I always ended up making food for him.

"Not much bro, keeping your sister safe. You?" I chuckled, taking out a cam of soda and busting open the cap. He sat opposite me on the breakfast bar, rubbing his eyes with the palms of his hands. Ben was the same age as me, a month or two younger but he was still a child in the head.

"Same here," he smirked, "Keeping her away from little sex deviants like you." I laughed, shaking my head as I took the first bite of my delicious little sandwich. He was childish in so many aspects, but being protective over his sister wasn't one of them.

"Don't be jealous, bro. I'll get you laid eventually." I smirked, demolishing my sandwich as fast as I possibly could — I don't think starving was the word, I'd eat a fucking pony if it was laid in front of me.

"I don't need your help getting laid, Styles," he chuckled, "The chicks are dripping from me, seriously." I shook my head as he swiped his shoulders with his fingertips. He could always be a vain little fucker.

"Oh really? What'd you do last night?" I questioned deviously, already knowing the answer. Instead of being out partying with me and the guys, he decided to stay in on his Xbox and play war games. I mean, I loved the occasional day on the Xbox but I'd never pass up an epic party for it.

I saw his cheeks flush and him swallow harshly. Before he could answer and I could have my victory, Morgan waltzed into the kitchen looking all natural with her hair all over the place and her face droopy — yet still so beautiful.

Once she saw me she smiled happily and I returned it even brighter if possible. "What's up, faggot?" She chimed into Niall's ear, wrapping her arms around his shoulders and giving him a long hug.

"Oh little sister, you're so very annoying." Niall sighed, placing his hands over her arms and patting them softly. She smushed her lips against his cheek and made a loud popping sound with them once she was done.

"But you wouldn't change me for the world," she grinned, making her way over to me, "Neither would you, aye?" She winked playfully, throwing herself across my lap and wrapping her arms around my neck. I shook my head and flicked her nose gently after I placed my sandwich down and swallowed the bite I'd previously taken.

"Ooo, food!" She yelled excitedly, clapping her hands together. I already knew that I wouldn't be getting the rest of my sandwich — I'm a sucker for that face she pulls whenever she wants something from me.

I watched as she delicately picked up the sandwich and take a huge moon shaped bite from it, leaving imprints of her teeth marks across the outside of the bite. She chewed and chewed, eventually swallowing harshly and going in for another bite.

Once she was finished, she wiped her hands on her thighs and turned to face me with an innocent smile, "That was one of the nicest sandwiches ever." I chuckled, noticing the small amount of butter resting in the corner of her mouth. She stared at me sceptically, as did her brother, when I reached my thumb up to swipe it off and lick it from my thumb.

Looking from one of them to the other, I shrugged, "What?" Instead of saying anything, they shook their heads, almost in sync, and went to conversing with one another about who was going to have the television when their parents went on holiday at the weekend.

Feeling like a third wheel in the brother–sister moment, I pushed Morgan from my lap and onto the chair. "Well guys, I'd better get back — I need to sleep and shower." Stretching my arms behind my head, I yawned big.

Morgan's face fell into that sad puppy one again and she grabbed my hand, "But I'll see you later, right?" She pouted her lower lip and looked up to me. My heart tugged at the look of hope in her eyes.

"Yeah of course," I chuckled, "I'm thinking we should go to McDonalds." I nodded in agreement with myself, holding her wrist as she clung onto mine. Nodding enthusiastically, she jumped from the seat and gave me a long hug, connecting both her arms around my waist.

"Sounds delicious," she chimed, "I'm gonna go shower now, just, jump over when you're ready I guess." Morgan shrugged, soon disappearing toward the stairs, me following closely after saying goodbye to her brother.

"Ok, Morg," I smiled, "And I love you too, you know." She turned around with a grin on her face as she nodded her head. After kissing her forehead, I sprung from her balcony to my own and proceeded with my plans.

"Why are you calling me when you're literally like seven meters from me?" I chuckled down the phone to Morgan as I buckled up the belt that held up my jeans and placed my watch back on my wrist.

"Because I don't wanna' shout — it hurts my throat." Without looking through my window to her, I could tell she would be pouting. But like my six senses, she knew exactly what was resting on my face — a big ass smirk.

"Well—"

"Don't, Harry," she warned with a lubricious sigh, "Just get your ass ready and downstairs to take me for food — I'm starving and you're paying." She sung happily. I chuckled and ran my fingers up through my dry hair to make it stand properly.

"On it, when am I never the one paying?" I said, "Be outside in five!" I sang, shutting off my phone and quickly placing it in my back pocket. Slipping on my shoes, I grabbed my keys and jogged down the stairs, slowing down once my ass vibrated — well, not my ass.

Taking out my phone and slowly making my way outside, I unlocked it and pulled open the Facebook inbox that showed at the top of my screen — Jenn Compton, the head cheerleader had contacted me.

'Hey xo'

My face scrunched up in confusion — she was supposed to be dating one of my best friends, Liam. Nonetheless, I locked my cell after reading it, hearing Hannah's door slam shut and her tender voice hum quietly as she jogged down the steps.

"Who were you talking to?" She investigated, smirking wildly at me as she hopped into the passenger seat of my matt black car. I furrowed my brows and shook my head as I too slid into the car.

"No one." I admitted truthfully — it was the truth, I wasn't speaking to her, she just decided to mail me out of nowhere. I guess I just can't help being so damn attractive that every girl wants a piece of me — kidding.

"Mhm," she hummed, still smirking, "I'll pretend I believe you for now — but only because I'm so damn hungry that I can't concentrate." She pouted, pulling the seatbelt across her torso and locking it with a click.

I looked over at her with an amused smile and she furrowed her eyebrows, "What?" She giggled. I shook my head dismissively and went on to drive us to the one place that was tastier than spaghetti.

"No way," Morgan gasped, giving me full view of the munched up fries and burger in her mouth, "She just mailed you out of nowhere?" She asked somewhat confused. I nodded silently, too busy to speak due to the delicious food I was consuming.

"But I thought she was dating Liam?" Morgan asked and I nodded again. I was confused as she was — probably a little more considering she was a girl. Morgan looked as though she was pondering, gently nibbling at her fry.

"It's weird right? I mean, I saw them just yesterday together and then I read that and didn't know what to think." I shrugged, absentmindedly going for one of her chicken nuggets — they were ours, but somehow she claimed them.

"What did you reply to her?" She asked, picking up her ice cold cola and sipping it slowly from the straw. I chewed on my mouthful until it was small enough to swallow, with some burn, down my gullet. Patting my mouth with the rough napkin that sat in front of me, I parted my lips.

"I didn't reply to her," I furrowed my brows and shrugged my shoulders, immediately her eyes went wide, "What was I supposed to say, Morgan? It's not like she's just a random girl — she's my friends girl."

"Harry, you realize they can see when you've read a message, right?" I nodded, "So she's going to think you're not cool with her. You can't just assume that because she mailed you, she wants your dick!" She exclaimed, raising her hand up in the air. After getting unwanted attention from the other customers she lowered herself down in the booth, a crimson color dripping from her forehead to her puffy cheeks.

"Most of the time it does," I smirked cockily and she scoffed, "Especially when they end it with ex oh." I brought my eyebrows up smugly but she darted up from the depths of the seat immediately and shook her head.

"She's a cheerleader, Harry," she sighed, "They're perky as fuck. She was probably smiling typing the thing, maybe even humming a little tune too," she shrugged and my shoulders shook as I laughed, "But it doesn't mean she wants you — maybe she's just asking what Liam is up to."

That did seem logical. Without another word, I shoved my phone in her direction and waited for her to pick it up and do what she did best — sort out my shit. I never kept a lock on my phone, I had no secrets to hide, so she tapped on easily and looked up at me when she was done.

"I had to come up with some lame ass excuse why you didn't reply — which by the way was my phone died," I chuckled at the seriousness in her eyes, "And then I just put 'hey' with a kiss." She shrugged, scrolling down on what was probably my newsfeed.

I nodded and sipped my drink, absentmindedly scrunching the wrappers to the food into tight rectangular folds. I saw her pout and let out a sigh loud enough for me to hear, "What's up, Morg?"

She turned the screen to face me and I was greeted by a pure beauty dressed in a yellow bikini that I didn't think anyone would be able to pull off. I shrugged and furrowed my eyebrows, looking at her for answers.

"Look how skinny and pretty she is," she groaned unhappily, turning the screen back to her, "And she has like a gazillion likes on her picture," she scoffed, "Seriously what is wrong about me that results in me having about ten likes on my picture — the only guy being you?" Her eyes met mine again.

"Not everything is about likes, Morg." I chuckled, finding it amusing how worked up she got about her picture not being liked. She glared at me for a second and rolled her eyes lazily.

"Easy to say for the guy whose got what, at least 500 likes on every profile picture?" She scoffed, shaking her head slightly. I chuckled slightly and leaned back on the wooden seat, "Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with me?" She cried, her head falling onto her crossed arms.

"Nothing's wrong with you Morgan," I sighed, "You're fucking perfect."
