One Direction's Property (COMPLETED)

Chapter Twenty Six: Keeping Promises

Louis's POV:

Promise me...

Please!

Dannon's distraught voice haunted my thoughts. I could still see the tears run down her face as the event continuously replayed in my head like I was still there. Her sobs were all I could hear. Instead of being on a plane to London, I was on that old bridge in New York.It was almost like a dream, but I was awake, and this had really happened.

I could have tried to help her instead of being a pussy, and leaving her on that bridge to die. Hell, I could have convinced them in hiding her. No one would know beside Liam, Paul, and I. She would be alive, and Simon nor the police would know about it.

One thing is for certain though, I will keep my promise to her. That's the least I could do after betraying her like that. I already knew how this needed to happen, and as I could think of, there weren't any flaws to this plan, but that didn't stop my anxiety. It was almost eating me alive.

My fingers ran through my hair for, what seemed like, the one hundredth time. I wouldn't be surprised if I had a giant bald spot by the time I got off this aeroplane. Now that I think about it, it feels like I've been on this plane for days, and I soon get the sudden urge to get off right now.

I press the button, that sends a message to the flight attendant to come to me. Within a matter of seconds she was by my side, wondering how could she be of service to me with an almost permanent smile on her lips.

"How much longer until we land?" I asked.

"Actually we are about to land in ten minutes," she answered with her non wavering smile.
As if on cue, the pilot came on the intercom saying that we were due to land momentarily, and the sign telling us that to put on our seat belts. I buckled myself up in my seat whilst the flight attendant scurried back to her seat at the front of the plane to do the same.

The plane quickly descended from the air, making the force pin me against my seat. Soon the wheels hit the concrete, and screeched to a halt at the end of the long runway.

As soon as I was given the okay to leave, I quickly unbuckled my seat belt, and jumped up from my seat. I rushed off of the plane, almost expecting a swarm of policeman and police cars waiting for me, but to my surprise there wasn't anything besides an empty landing lot.

'So far so good,' I thought to myself.

The flight attendant bidded me a goodbye as I jogged down the stairs of the aeroplane, and walked the empty lot to the town-car, that I had called for earlier. Because I didn't have any bags with me, the driver didn't have to get out of the car, and as soon as I had the door closed and my seat belt on, the driver drove off the landing lot onto the street.

The drive to the outskirts of London was a long twenty minutes, that was filled with dreadfully boring classical music, and my constant knee bouncing. My focused stayed on the rapidly changing scenery as the driver sped through the large city. The sight of plentiful building and bright lights slowly faded into the calm dark woods. The only source of light was coming from headlights at front vehicle. They illuminated the dark, graveled road that weaved through the dense trees until we reached my destination.

The driver pulled into a long driveway that led up to a two story cottage. It wasn't as extravagant as the other houses that are owned by Simon, but that's only because it's purpose didn't require such extremities.

I step out of the car, closing the door behind me. I began walking cautiously to the house, making sure to stay invisible from the cameras, that were scattered over the property.

Eventually, I make it to the house without getting caught. I go to the fence, that was to the right of the house, and started climb over it. Once my feet hit the ground, I bolted to the back. My eyes scanned over the windows, that cover the back side of the house, trying to find the one that led to Spencer's room.

It wasn't to long until I saw an open window with yellow curtains blowing out of it. I instantly knew that was his room. I could remember the day Dannon picked them out. She claimed that yellow was his favourite colour. Saying that her mother's intuition let her know things about Spencer that no one else does.

A smile creeps upon my lips at the memory, but it is quickly wiped away. Dannon is dead, and she isn't coming back. Just that thought alone made me even more determined to keep my promise to Danny no matter what consequences I will have to face.

I went to the shed, and began to search through it. Soon enough, I found what I was looking for. Quietly, I dragged the ladder out of the shed, and towards the house. Once I had the ladder stretched out as far as it could go, I propped it against the house. As fast as I could, I climbed up the ladder, and in absolutely no time, I was at Spencer's window. Surprisingly, I was able to step into his room without falling on my face.

I rushed into action getting his diaper bag, and stuffed diapers, a pacifier and a bottle of milk into it. I slinged the strap of the bag onto my shoulder before strapping on a baby carrier. I walked towards the crib, that was in the middle of the room, where Spencer was sleeping. I lifted him from his bed, making him wake up from his slumber.

"Hey, Spence!" I exclaimed. His blue eyes were opened wide, and were staring at me, probably trying to remember who I am. "Goodness you look so much like your father," I chuckled as placed him into the carrier.

I climb back outside the window, and onto the ladder. I had one hand holding Spencer's head, and another helping me down the ladder. Once my feet were on the ground, I walked to the fence. I didn't even want to bother to put the ladder back into the shed not wanting to deal with the hassle, so I left it where it was.

Since I was on the inside of the fence, all I had to was open the gate to get out, which is much more convenient than trying to go over the fence with Spencer. I closed the gate behind me, and began to creep down the driveway. I was only a few metres from the car when a security light came on, making me increase my speed.

"What the hell is going on!" the driver bellowed as soon as I enter the car.

"Don't worry about it. Just drive," I said trying to stay calm in the mist of all the chaos.

"No I won't 'just drive'! You are obviously kidnapping that baby!" By this point in time, Spencer was crying his lungs out, and thre- no four guards were running towards us.

"Okay look, I just lost a girl I really love only twenty-four hours ago, and her last words to me were to take her son away from that house. I promised her that I would, and I will not let you, a chauffeur, keep me from keeping that promise to her, so if you would so kindly drive the car." Some how, through my mini speech, I was able to keep my cool whilst getting the message through to him.

With a long string of profanities, he pulled out of the driveway right before the guards were able to get to us. Soon enough, I was able to get Spencer quiet, and back to sleep. The drive was short, and it wasn't long until we had pulled onto the parking lot of a motel. Once the car came to a stop, I got out, and went to the window on the passenger side.

"I just wanted thank you for being understanding with my situation," I tell him with much gratitude.

"Yea, yea. Just go on," he said shooing me away.

"Thanks again, mate," I say stepping back from the vehicle so he can drive off.

In all of ten minutes, I was checked into a room, and had Spencer settled in on one of the beds. I had my cell phone in my hand with the numbers 999 dialed into it, and all I had to do was press the call button. I let out a shaky breath before allowing my thumb to fall on the screen of my phone, and placed it against my ear.

After a few rings a female voice came through the speaker. "Hello, what seems to be your emergency today?"

I'm not entirely sure about a sequel yet, so... yea, but Harry did rape her. It was kind of implied in chapter ten. Sorry for the confusion. :)

Yeah I wish you can do an sequal, for like after years of prison...they all break out and kidnappe her again. One question Harry never raped her, so why did he get accused of rape?
