One Direction's Property (COMPLETED)

Chapter Twenty Four: Safe

Lieutenant Moore's POV:

I stood in the back of the briefing room away from everyone else in the room. All my attention was on the young lady all the way from Australia. Jocelyn, I believe that's her name, was busy putting up pictures on the whiteboard, and writing some notes where she seemed fit.

I already knew why she was here. Before coming all the way to the NYC, she had talked to my boss telling him about a teenage who went missing in her country. Don't get me wrong, I care much for this girl's safety, but what makes this lady think the girl's kidnappers brought her all the way over here? Why would they risk it?

Once Jocelyn was satisfied with her work, she whipped around to face us. "As some as you may know, I am here on the account of the abduction of sixteen year old Dannon Wilson. She has been missing since July fifteenth of last year, and even though she went missing from Newcastle in Australia, I reason to believe that her captors have her here at this moment.

"My team and I are here for your help to find her, and bring her home. Now-"

"Hold a second," Deputy Chief Adams said interrupting Jocelyn, "what makes you think someone would risk taking a missing child thousands miles across the world? Why not take someone from this area, and have a less chance of getting caught?"

"Actually sir, I was just about to get to that," Jocelyn answered making him, not very discreetly, scoff at her.

See that is just like Adams. Everything he hears might as well have been said by an idiot. It wouldn't matter what you would say to him it would be wrong. Of course I was thinking just about the same thing, but do you see me trying to make Jocelyn feel inferior? No!

There has been many times where I wanted to put that man in his place, but, as surprising as it is, he has a higher rank than I do, so if I did confront him, I could possibly lose my job. In fact, I have witnessed him fire someone for 'insulting his rank in authority'.

I stopped looking at Adams when I realised I was basically glaring holes in the back of his head. My eyes moved back towards Jocelyn listening to what she had to say.

"Now, like I have already said Dannon had went missing on July fifteenth. A couple of days later a girl by the name of Alyssa Cowell, supposedly the niece of Simon Cowell, appears on a daytime show in London with world famous boyband One Direction."

I've heard about group. My little sisters absolutely adored them. Their rooms were covered with posters that had those boys' faces on them. They had all of their albums which they would have blaring through our parents' house all hours of the day. Those two even had their dolls, and from the many videos they made me watch of them, they seemed like nice boys so their involvement with this case didn't make much since to me.

"You lot might be able to see the facial similarities in both Dannon and Alyssa," Jocelyn said gesturing her left to the pictures of the girls. Now that she had mentioned it, it was obvious that those, besides a few things, looked very much alike. "Back in Australia, our analyst have done test that have shown both girls have the same facial structure, and the chances of two non-related people having that are slim to none."

In the corner of my eye, I could see Adams shift his footing with a disapproving look on his face. Probably thinking this whole thing is a waste of his time. Jocelyn noticed this as well, and directed her attention to him.

"Of course I more evidence than just one possible coincidence. A couple years ago the same group of boys were seen with a young girl who also had the same facial structure as seventeen year old Sarah Mathers. After a month of her being kidnapped, she has never been seen again, and I wouldn't be surprised if she was dead now." Once Jocelyn had said this she turned her attention back to everyone else.

"And this isn't only with One Direction. My team and I have been able to link missing girls to other celebrities like Alex Russell, Michael Bublé, and Declan Galbraith. To be honest, I believe that if we are able to find Dannon alive, we can get all of these girls, and bring them back home.

"I've called around, and gather that the group is staying at the Belvedere Hotel. I don't know how long they will be there so it's best that we go now."

Once she said this, everyone started partnering up with who they were going to ride with. I moved towards Captain Howard, the only person I could actually call my friend since my short residency at this precinct, when I heard a low, rough voice call my name. I turned around to see Adams with the smuggest look on his face.

"Why don't you ride with me," he commanded more than suggesting it, and left for his cruiser without another word. I followed him outside, and got inside the car.

As soon as he started driving, Adams opened up that big, irritating mouthing of his, "Don't you think it's foolish of that girl to think that celebrities are kidnapping people? Wouldn't they have much more better things to do with their time? Right?" I nodded my head in response just so I wouldn't have to give an actual answer.

Of course that only fueled his little rant making him continue on nagging. I would agree to everything he would say just to keep the bastard happy. I twisted the ends of my long, sandy brown hair as I looked at the slow moving scenery outside the window. Luckily the traffic wasn't as bad as it could be since most people are at work, but it was still congested enough to make the ride from the precinct much longer than it needed to be.

We finally made it to the hotel after fifteen painful minutes. We all exited our cruisers, and crowded into the hotel. Once we found out which floor the boys were staying on, we all marched up the stairs with our guns in our hands. As soon as the door was pushed opened, we filed out into the corridor, where two bodyguards were standing.

Before they could get away, they were handcuffed, and being taken to one of the cars. Myself and three other cops went to the last door that opened into one of their rooms. Our guns held in front of us we searched through room. It was empty, but it was obvious that who was in there left in a hurry.

We walked out back into the corridor, that was now filled other occupants of this floor, as we put our guns back into their holster. They were being told to go back into their rooms. Many were compliant, but there were a few who weren't as willing. I turned my attention from them watching as five officers boarded the lift with three guys from the band, and as the doors closed, I saw the curly headed one bow his head when tears started to streak down his face.

When I could no longer see them, I looked towards where the head of my precinct, Chief Chambers, was standing. He looked down briefly at the tablet in his hand before looking back up, and getting the attention of the rest of us that was left.

"According to the receptionist there are four others checked into this hotel including the girl. We have been able to trace their location heading to an abandoned bridge a little less than thirty minutes north of here. The directions there will be sent your GPS's. Let's head out."

We rushed down the the stairs, into the lobby, and outside before getting into our cars. Once we were out the city, we sped down an old road, that led straight to the bridge, with our sirens blaring, and our lights flashing.

Just as we pulled onto the bridge, a white van tried to drive off, but we had blocked it. The van came to an halt not having anywhere to go since the other side of the bridge was broken. We quickly exited our cars with the doors in front of us, and our guns pointed at the van.

"Step out of your vehicle with your hands above your heads!" Chambers said through his blow horn and shortly after two guys came out the van with their hands up like they were told. We advanced towards them before two cops pushed them to the ground, and cuffed their hands behind their backs. As they took the guys to their cars, the rest of us searched the van.

Empty.

The van was empty. If the girl wasn't here where could she- The river!

Not even checking with anyone else, I jogged to the rail with my pony tail switching to and fro. I quickly took off my holster belt and vest, and sat my gun beside them before diving into the water.

The water was pretty much clear, and once the bubbles around me settled I was able to see a girl with a weight tied to her ankles. I swam towards her, and instantly started undoing the knot at her ankles. Once she was free, I swam us to the top of the water, and by that time my lungs were basically begging for air.

I put the girl on my back, and held her there with one of my hands whilst I was I swam us to shore with the other. As soon as we were on land, I laid her down, and began pushing down on her chest. After fifteen times, I clamped her nose shut with my fingers, tilted her head back, and blow slowly into her mouth three times.

When I saw that she was still not responding I pressed down on her chest again. By the eighth time, her body ejected forward as she started coughing water out her mouth. I leaned her over, and rubbed her back as she continued to cough out the fluid.

"It's alright now. You're safe."

@Angelina_luna_styles
I'm not entirely sure about a sequel yet, so... yea, but Harry did rape her. It was kind of implied in chapter ten. Sorry for the confusion. :)

Yeah I wish you can do an sequal, for like after years of prison...they all break out and kidnappe her again. One question Harry never raped her, so why did he get accused of rape?
