The same routine contined the next morning....and the day after that...and the day after that.......and the day after that and for the next week. We walked to school, the boys complained about their feet, Louis was driven to do more work, and we had to suffer through the school day. The only thing differnet was that me and Niall seemed to......I don't know have a connection? Yeah I caught myself staring at him more often and he could do the same.

Luke wasn't in school. He probably didn't want to see me or Niall after what happened. The day seemed to drag on and on and I found myself always staring at the clock at least once during class. Once during class my teacher snapped at me for not paying attention during Math.

"Kate!" she said. I quickly looked up. "Yes Mrs. Shaker?" I asked innocently. "What the answer?" she said with a smug grin on her face like she knew she caugh me red handed and I wouldn't know the answer. I looked at the bored.

Are you kidding me? That is so easy.

"x = 28," I said. Mrs. Shaker's smile dropped. I always knew she hated me. She always wanted to prove me wrong and she always wanted to get me in trouble even if I didn't do anything. "Very well, next question," she said. I heard someone snicker from behind me. I turned back and saw Harry grinning. I smiled. He looked up to see if Mrs. Shaker was looking then he scribbed something down on a piece of paper and threw it at me. I caught it and right as I turned around Mrs. Shaker turned around.

She started right at me, but I hid the note in my hand. She glared at me with her beady little eyes through her small glasses. Luckily she didn't see the note and she walked back to her desk to correct papers after she handed out a worksheet.

I quickly read the note.

I looked back at Harry and he was waiting for me to reply.

I threw it back at him. The other kids around us just snickered, but no one said anything.

Do you hate us?

Harry threw that note over. I frowned and stared at the paper. I looked back at Harry who looked serious.

No

I threw it back to him. He read it and a faint smile appeared on his lips. He looked up at me after scirbbling something down.

Good

I smiled to my myself. I knew that I liked the boys. I knew they were my friends. I finally realized how stupid and naive I had been when they first showed up at my house. How could I judge someone so fast?

Finally the bell rang to switch classes.

Nothing interesting happened at school that day. It was just a regular normal school day. That night was different though. Very different.

After we had dinner (tacos at Harry's request) I went to go to the pond to play a little guitar. But when I got there Niall was sitting on a rock and he looked like he was waiting for someone. When I walked over to him he looked up and smiled.

"Hey," he said. I smiled "Hi," I said. The moon was a full moon that night and you could just see the shaow of it coming. The first star appeared in the sky and seemed to twinkle. I smiled and saw a group of frogs near the edge of the pond. An owl stood on the branch of a tree and seemed to watch over the pond, making sure nothing harmed it.

I turned back to Niall who was still looking at me.

"So," I said. "Why are you out here?" I asked. "I wanted to ask you something." he said. I frowned. "Like what?" I asked. "I was just wondering," he said slowly. " If you would like to uh go on a date with me," he said. He looked really nervous and I giggle when he blushed.

"Niall Horan, are you asking me out?" I asked. Niall shrugged "Maybe," he said. "If you say yes then yes i am," he said. "Well it depends on the date, when and where?" I asked. "Right here, right now," he said. I started at him. What?

"Huh?" I said. "It's just....that pond is really pretty and...." I put my finger to his mouth to shut him up. "I'd love to," I said.

He grinned from ear to ear.

I wanted to show Niall the rest of the forest, but he insisted that we sit and talk for a while.

"I barely know anything about you, besides the whole thing with your family," he said. I grinned "Well waht do you want to know?" I said. He seemed to think for a second. The moon was fully up now and it casted a shadow it was so bright. It lit up the pond and the water shimmered.

"Ok let's see how fast you can go, say your favorite color, food, movie, your birthday, and.....your favorite resturant!" he said. I laughed. "How did you come up with those things?" I asked. He shrugged "Ready......Go!" he said.

"Ok my favorite color is blue, my favorite food is pasta, my favorite movie is the Hunger Games, my favorite resturant is Not Your Average Joe's, and my birthday is July 22nd," I said quickly. Niall seemed amused. "Very nice," he said. I grinned "Thanks, now it's your turn, ready...go!" I said.

"My favorite color is green, my favorite food is anything good, but I love pasta Bolognese, my favorite movie is Grease, and my favorite resturant is Nandos," he said even faster than I did. I was impressed. "Nice," I said. He grinned and looked at me.

"I like you a lot better when you're not hating on us," he said seriously. I sighed and looked at the ground. "Yeah I know, I'm sorry," I said "I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions about you guys." Niall sighed and liad down on the ground "It's ok," he said. I liad down next to him and we stared up at the stars.

"That one's really bright," he said pointing to a really bright star in the distance. "Yeah it's probably a planet," I said. "How do you know?" he said playfully. He turned on his side to look at me. "I don't know, just a guess," I said with a shrug. He chuckled "Well ok then," he said.

I looked up at him and blushed at how close we were. He notcied this and started to lean in, until a giant bird swopped down, almost hitting us, and started chirping making us both jump. We both laughed and liad back down to look at the stars.

At that moment everything seemed perfect.

After we sat together for a wile I got up. "It's getting late," I said. Niall nodded and took my hand when I reached dwon to help him up. "Come on slow poke, let's go," I said. He chuckled and we walked back to the house.

"Hey look at the two love birds!" Allison called. Niall and I blushed and took a small baby step away from each other becasue of the awkwardness. We both knew that we almost kissed, but I don't think neither of us wanted to bring it up. I could see Niall blushing from the corner of my eye. Louis just laughed and called us over.

"We're playing truth or dare, come join us!" Harry said. "Oh god," I muttered, but reluctanly went over to join them.

"Ok Niall truth or dare?" Louis asked. "Uhmmmmm-" "Dare great!" Louis said. "Hey I didn't get to sa-" "Ok I dare you and Kate to go in the closet for ten minutes," Louis said. "What?!" Me and Niall said. "Just do it!" Harry said. "Oh great." Niall muttered. We walked over to the closet and Louis locked the door behind us. I leant against one side of the closet and Niall was on the other.

"Well now what?" he asked. "Uhm I don't know, we basically talked all night out by the pond soooo," I said.

"We almost kissed," Niall blurted out. I started at him and nodded. "And you didn't try to stop me," he said. I nodded agian. "Why?" he asked. "Well maybe I've developed a few feelings for you in the last few weeks," I said shyly. Niall was silent. He took a step over to me then put of his hands on the wall around me.

"Are you going to stop me now?" he asked. I shook my hand and then the fireworks set off in my stomach when he kissed me.
