Rachel After a while I headed back to the house. The sun was fully up now and I guessed it was around nine o'clock in the morning. I grabbed my guitar and headed back to the house. When I arrived back at the house, everyone's eyes were on me. I slowly put my guitar on the ground next to the door.

"What are you all staring at?" I snapped. Allie frowned and pulled me to the side. "Olivia had to go, Cory needed her," she said. I gasped. I can't believe I forgot about Cory. I loved him like he was my own brother. "Does she need help or something?" I asked. Allison sighed. "I don't know, she just left in a hurry, the boys want to know what's up with her," allison said. I frowned. I was not going to let those......boys near Cory even if he wasn't my brother by blood he was basically close enough to be it.

"Hey Allie, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that last night," I said. Allison smiled slightyly at me. "I know," she said. We walked into the kitchen.

"So where did you go Kate?" Harry asked. I grabbed a water bottle and turned around. "Why do you care?" I asked. "It was just a question," Harry said putting his hands up in defense. I rolled my eyes. I took a sip of my water and then went upstairs. My mum called my phone and my ringtone of Payphone went off.

"Hello?" I asked. "Hi honey," she said. "Hey mum," I said. "Um I have some news." she said. I sighed. Oh great more news. "I'm going to be away for a while, something came up in worl and I have to fly to Australia first thing in the morning." she said. "Australia, Mum that's all the way around the world," I said. By the way I live in Flordia. "I know, but I have to, and your father called," she said. I tensed up.

My father is a touchy subject. He's never been there for me. Never. He missed my 5th grade graduation, he missed my 16th birthday, he missed my 8th grade graduatio, hemissed me getting my drivers license. He missed everything. He doesn't care. He's always on business trips. He comes home maybe once a year. Almost every Christmas I'm alone. Allison and Olivia always come over to cheer me up, but my mum is always to busy too. She tries to keep her work local so I'm not alone most of the time, but her being a fashion desinger it's hard.

"I don't care what he has to say," I muttered. "Kate, he misses you." she said. I rolled my eyes. "Yeah right, he couldn't give a crap about me," I said. "Kate Alyce!" my mother scolded. I just shrugged. "Your father loves you, he's just very busy," she said. "Yeah so busy that he is living in a different country every week," I said. I heard my mum sigh from the other end of the phone.

"Anyways he said he's in London right now and that he has to go to Ireland after then he has to go to Spain," she said. "I couldn't care less," I said. My mum sighed again. "How are the boys?" she asked changing the subject.

"Wonderful," I said sarcastically. "Kate," my mum said in her warning voice meaning if I annoyed her anymore than I already was she was going to snap. "Be nice," she said. "Well what do you expect mum? I hate them!" I said. "How can you hate someone you don't know?" she said. I sighed and ran my hand through my hair.

"Why do you have to go to Australia?" I asked wanting to aviod that topic with the boys. "My fahsion line, the fashion show was supposed to be in Florida, by they changed it to Paris, then they changed it again to Australia, I'm so sorry honey, but I'm going to be gone for a while," she said. I sighed.

"It's fine, Allison and Liv are going to be her for a while," I said. "Good and please try to be nice to the boys," she said "No promises," I said. "Kate, please," she asid. I sighed. "Fine," I said. "Good, now I have to go, love you!" she said. "Bye love you too," I repplied and hung up.

I flopped onto my bed and closed my eyes. The scene of the pond came into my mind and I smiled to myself when i remembered seeing a bunny hop around the pond. ************************** I decided to go back downstairs and I saw Allison talking to Harry. I smiled when she and Harry both blushed. I remembered I left my guitar on the porch outside so I quickly walked by them not wanting to disturb them. I took my guitar and headed to the bond again. When I got there no one was there. Perfect. Maybe Niall kelpt his trap shut about this morning and didn't tell anyone about it.

I began playing and softly singing to Dark Side by Kelly Clarkson. I heard a rustle in the bushes a few minutes later and I stopped.

Louis emerged from teh bushes.
