Chapter 9
Gabby’s POV:
When I looked up I saw Liam standing over me. He closed the door behind me and got down on his knees to help me.
“What are you doing?” I questioned him.
He looked surprise, “Helping.”
I smiled a little, “Why?”
He shrugged, “Harry shouldn’t have taken it as far as he did. Once he gets into it he cant help himself.”
“I didn’t know that was going to happen. I am sorta glad it did though.”
Liam took control of the towel and used his muscles to get most of the blood off the floor so it wouldn’t dry up and stain.
He finished and got off the floor and held out his hand to help me up.
I smiled, “Thanks.”
“No problem.”
I shook my head and looked at him in disbelief.
“What?” He questioned my stares.
“How are you in a gang?”
He laughed, “What do you mean?”
“You are so different than Harry and Quinton.”
“Not really.” He smiled a little.
“Harry wouldn’t help me, and Quinton, well you know…”
He shrugged again. He seemed to do that when he was uncomfortable, “They have been my friends since we were like born. Harry joined the gang first. Then Louis, then Zayn. Niall and I didn’t think we were going to join, but we did. Gangs before blood is what we always say.”
“Why did you join?”
“I liked the thought of being powerful. I wanted to be feared, but we are feared and loved.”
“I have one more question…”
“Go for it.” He smiled.
“Why does Harry like me?”
“You’re different.”
“Than what?”
“The girls he usually fucks.”
I gasped at the word fucked. I mean I have used it myself but hearing him use it so casually, especially about sex, sounded weird.
“Sorry.” He apologized, “I mean, you’re different than the other girls he has been with. You are stronger and have a kinder heart.”
I smiled, “I wasn’t always like that.”
I was tired of standing, and before Liam could ask me anymore questions I propounded an idea, “Want something to eat or drink?”
He smiled, “Water?”
“Sure.” I led him into the kitchen and told him he could have a seat at the chair at the table. I got us both water and I sat across from him.
Liam picked up the conversation, “What do you mean, that you weren’t always like this?”
“I slept around. I always wanted to be with someone. I was a freshman whore.”
“What made you change?”
“I met Quinton and thought he was worth it. I changed myself for him.”
Liam scrunched his eyebrows, “You shouldn’t have to change yourself to be with a guy.”
“I know.”
“You wouldn’t have to change yourself if you were with someone who truly loved you.”
“I know that too.”
Liam was silent for a couple of minutes. It was becoming awkward so I spoke, “Are you like here to pimp out Harry or something?”
He laughed, “No, surprisingly I actually want to be your friend.”
I tried to look offended, “Why are you surprised?!”
He shrugged, again, “I always thought you were kind of a bitch. You have been so close to the Easton Gang.”
“So because I was dating someone from another gang I was a bitch?”
“No. You were a bitch to Zayn.”
“Wait, what? When?!”
“When he asked you to the freshman dance. You said you would rather drop dead than go with him.”
Ouch. “I didn’t even know it was him, or who he was.”
“Well now you know.”
I had to apologize to Zayn, as soon as possible. I guess my connections with the Weston gang ran deeper than I thought.
I looked at Liam, “Will you give me a ride to school tomorrow? I left my car there cause Harry drove me home.”
He smiled, “Sure. I will pick you up at seven.”
“Great.” I smiled back at him as he got up from the table. I walked him to the door and opened it for him.
Before leaving he looked back at me, “Give Harry a chance though.”
I sighed and nodded my head, “Maybe. I just need a few days to myself.”
He smiled and walked out to his car. I closed the door behind me and went up to my room to do my homework. I sat at my desk for at least thirty minutes, just starting my notebook. I hated Harry for what he did today, but in reality, he saved my life.
