Chapter 7
Harry’s POV:
She looked at me with a blank stare as I started to drive, “What perfect storm?”
I smirked, “Just wait.”
She looked out the window and stayed silent for the rest of the ride home. I pulled into her driveway and walked up the walkway behind her. The boys were waiting for us at her door. There were also boys from the Easton Gang with us.
I looked around, “Ready boys?”
They all nodded and Gabriella stepped forward, “What’s going on? Why are you guys here?” She gestured at the boys from the Easton Gang.
One of the blond boys stepped forward, “We heard what he’s doing to you. Hitting a lady is never okay.”
I nodded in agreement. She nodded along with me, “So what are you guys planning?”
I took her hand, “Just follow my lead.”
She gripped my hand tighter and nodded her head. She opened the door for us and we all walked through. We were standing at the bottom of the stairs. "Niall and Liam, go up to the left upstairs. Louis and Zayn go upstairs to the right. You two,” I pointed to two of the Easton Gang members, “Go into the kitchen. Then you two,” I pointed to the remaining two Easton Gang members, “Follow me and Gabriella into the family room.” They nodded and followed us.
I sat Gabriella down on the couch, “They will protect you.”
They nodded at me. I went upstairs to make sure everyone else was in their positions. I dialed my phone and Quinton picked up.
“Styles?”
“Uh-huh. I need you to come by Gabriella’s house.”
“Why?”
“Just come. She may be…dead.”
I heard a small gasp from the other end of the line and then the line went dead. I nodded my head at my boys, signaling that everything was going as planned. About ten minutes later there was a pound at the door.
“Styles! Let me in!”
I went and checked on the guys in the family room with Gabriella, they were good, and she looked fine; nervous, but fine.
I opened the door and he came in charging forward.
He looked around, “Where is she?”
“One.” I yelled.
Louis and Zayn came down the stairs and blocked the front door.
“Two.” I yelled.
The two Easton Gang members in the kitchen blocked the back door.
“Three.” I yelled as my fist made contact with Quinton’s face. Liam and Niall came rushing down the stairs. They were my backup if Quinton tried to stand up for himself. I hit Quinton over and over. There was so much blood coming out of his nose.
I held him the collar of his shirt, “I will not hesitate to kill you.”
He looked worried, “I dare you.”
I punched him one more time, hard. I could see his eyes tearing up a little. I got weird satisfaction out of that.
“Stay away from her.”
“Who?”
“Gabriella.”
“I’ve already forgotten.”
I nodded my head. “If I see or hear that you come within ten feet of her, I will kill you.”
He slowly nodded his head. I signaled Louis and Zayn to get out of the way of the door. I picked him up by the collar of his shirt. I dragged him to the door as Louis opened it for me. I threw him onto the walkway and watched him stumble to his feet and walk to his car. I looked over to the doorway that led the living room and Gabriella was standing in it.
She looked from me to the blood on the floor, “So, how did you all get out of school?”
I laughed and she smiled at me. Only Gabriella could be worried about our school attendance over the attempted death of her now exboyfriend.
