Los Angeles to London

The Dinner (Part One)

Harry's POV

"Harry. Harry. You need to get up."

I heard Alex's soft voice. I felt her even softer lips against my skin. The light contact sent flames through my body. I love this woman with everything in me. Sometimes it scared me just how much I love her. I only met her a few months ago, but I couldn't picture myself without her. She had this rough past, some people might even call her broken, but she's just the opposite. She's one of the strongest people I've ever met. Life has thrown many curve balls her way, ever since she was a baby, but she somehow managed to pick herself back up, stronger than ever. From her father’s death to her tumultuous relationship with Max, she kept going. I know plenty of people that would have given up a long time ago, but not Alex.

Every so often while doing interviews the reporters would ask the boys and I who our inspirations are, I always would say my mum or something ridiculous like Mickey Mouse, but if a reporter asked me right now who my inspiration was I'd tell them that Alex was.

In a short time she's inspired me to be a better person. She helped me grow up. Before Alex I was wasting my time going from one girl to the next, telling each of them what they wanted to hear. I told plenty of girls that I loved them, but I never meant it. I messed with girls, like it was a game or something. But the moment I met Alex on that airplane she made me want to be a better person. I couldn’t ever possibly thank her enough for that.

"Harry, seriously, you need to get up."

I groaned and reached out for her, pulling her on top of me and placing a kiss to her forehead.

Alex's POV

"Good morning." Harry's morning voices flooded my ears. I blushed, thinking about how this was my favorite time of day, just hearing the first words out of his mouth.

"Good morning." I smiled back at him, his eyes flickered open as he smiled at me too. "I talked to your mom this morning."

"My mum?" he questioned.

"Yeah, I invited her, Gemma, Robin, and your dad over for dinner, you know so we can tell them about the baby."

"Oh. You did?"

"Yeah, and the boys."

"The boys?"

"Yeah, I figured we should just tell them all at once, they'll all be here at six. So that means that we need to go to the grocery store to get things for dinner."

"What are you making?"

"Lasagna, I think. Do they like lasagna?"

"Yeah, that sounds good."

"Good, now let me go, get up and lets go."

He moaned again before talking. "Kiss me, and then I'll let you go."

I glared at him, trying to look annoyed, but failed when he gave me one of his signature Harry smirks.

"Fine." I rolled my eyes at him before kissing the tip of his nose.

"Hey!" He whined.

"What? You said kiss you."

"That's not what I meant."

"Well, you need to be more specific , Styles."

"Alright then," he said, tightening his hold on me. "kiss me on the lips, and then I'll let you go."

I huffed at him and rolled my eyes again. "You drive a hard bargain, Mr. Styles." I mumbled against his lips.

"Mmm, Mr.Styles, I like that." He smiled.

"Do you now?"

"Yeah, what do you think about Mrs. Styles?"

My body tensed, despite everything going on with the pregnancy I never once thought about marrying Harry.

"Umm.." I didn't know what to say.

He chuckled before replying. "Don't worry about it, we still have time."

I kissed him, instead of replying.

Here we are, in line at Tesco's. Our faces are splashed all over various magazines still claiming that our relationship is a sham, a publicity stunt. Only if they knew about our little secret. Soon enough people will, it's not like I can exactly go into hiding for the next 18 years. Or can I? Well obviously I can't. I'm afraid to know what the tabloids will write about me when they find out, but right now I' more nervous to tell Harry's family and the boys. I really hope that they're understanding about the whole thing, but even if they aren't I can see why they wouldn't be.

Harry must have seen me staring at the various magazines because he gave my hand a reassuring squeeze. I glanced up at him to see a sheepish smile across his face, he clearly wasn't thrilled with the magazines either.

"Don't even give them the time of day." He whispered in my ear before handing the cashier his debit card.

I flashed him a shy smile before grabbing our bag of groceries and heading out to the car.

The lasagna's in the oven and I'm freaking out, everyone will be here soon. I'm dressed and ready for them to come over, but my stomach is in knots again. I'm terrified to tell everyone. Well, actually I'm not terrified to tell them, I'm more afraid for how they'll react. Will they except it? Will they hate me? Will they try to talk Harry out of being with me?

"Babe?"

"I'm in the living room."

I heard Harry bounce down the stairs as he made his way to the living room.

"What's wrong?" He asked, his voice filled with concern.

"Nothing. Just nervous."

"It'll be fine, trust me, everyone loves you." He reassured me while moving to sit next to me. He placed his hand on my stomach. "And they'll love this baby too, almost as much as me." He flashed me another "Harry" smirk.

My body relaxed a bit at his confidence in his family and friends, but just as quickly as Irelaxed, I tensed right back up at the sound of the doorbell.

Notes

I apoligize that this chapter is pretty short, but I'm exhausted, and I want to write the actual dinner when I'm more awake.

So tell me, how do you think everyone will react to Alex and Harry's news? Good, Bad, Indifferent?

Also, please subscribe and rate. For a while the view count on my story was frozen and it just recently updated and I can not even believe that it has over 16,000 views! That might not be a lot compared to other stories, but to me that's crazy!

I hope that everyone is still enjoying the story.

Random Fact!

I've always liked the taste of coffee, but I never really liked drinking it. (Does that make any kind of sense? Or am I just weird. Lol) But recently I've become a coffee fiend, I drink it so much right now it's ridiculous. I think it's because I went from working night shift to working in the mornings and I'm still not quite used to being up in the mornings. haha. Basically every sunday I have to be to work at either 5am or 6am (whichever my boss decides) and then Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday I work at 9am. So that's exciting. ha not really.

sorry that that random fact was so boring, but I'm exhausted and I really can't think of a more "exciting" fact. Anyways, I'll be updating tomorrow sometime, so look forward to that!
